  1. As predicted an easy home win against a lacklustre and inconsistent Bears side. Looks like the Monarchs are destined for a play off place and Bears have to settle for a possible BSN final but they need to ride better than tonight if they are to beat Berwick. Big decision if they are to replace Klindt with Wright at some point.
  2. Not the first time a rider has failed to make an appearance at Edinburgh but he actually did ok around Plymouth .
  3. I attend 3 different tracks most other weeks, Workington, Berwick and Redcar, fixtures allowing, and they all do it differently but at least they do it so not all clubs are failing at it.
  4. Can only see a home win with Monarchs too strong throughout for a weakened Bears . Pity as with Pijper Bears reserves may have made it interesting but with Lambert also missing with a ‘ speedway related injury ‘ ( ? ) can only see a comfortable home win with the bonus point added.
  5. But the STADIUM was already in place…
  6. With crowds down at just about every track in the country , including stock cars, and so few clubs now active what is there left to justify any building of a new stadium to host motorsports ?
  7. You don’t ! Only half the ‘ Crowd ‘ ( makes it sound good ) don’t bother with a programme these days and plenty around me make their own version.
  8. and, of course, speedway updates is very accurate and detailed 😉 sometimes they can’t even get the score right! Don't get me wrong, updates is a valuable site but it’s done by volunteers who are sometimes biased and usually do not have time to give you a full and accurate account of each individual race. and yes, I have been an ‘inputter’ on the site so know how difficult it is, bless them.
  9. Easy home win, hoping it’s not as dusty as Redcar last night.
  10. Look again……Lambert unbeaten after 2 rides😄
  11. No idea just read Allen’s post saying he wasn’t riding but doubt Bears could get a guest to go to Plymouth at the last minute.
  12. Bears minus Allen, injured shoulder from last night.
  13. Well at least I was right about the Bears reserves being stronger tonight ! A very unexpected result, whilst Lambert still fails to impress only Mulford was inconsistent tonight and Bears benefitted. Bandits riders were the inconsistent ones.
  14. Ooops! must put my glasses on when filling in my fixture diary🧐
  15. As I rotate between Workington, Berwick and Redcar most weeks think I’ll take the two legs in this weekend. Can see Berwick winning over the 2 matches winning easily at home and running Bears close at Redcar. I’d have them down for the win there too but think the Bandits reserves might struggle to match their opponent's around Redcar. Bandits too strong at home and Bears individual riders are just too inconsistent. Just hope to see two good speedway matches.
  16. The Speedway Star reports have become the Daily Star style….dont let the truth get in the way of a good story. By the time Wright is fit enough to do two meetings in a week Bears season will be over but I’m glad he’s able to earn some decent wages at last even if it is in Germany-Poland.
  17. Klindt has a history and will be expensive as he knew he was the only option. The others less so as they are reasonably sensible in riding for clubs where they actually know they will get paid on time and don’t appear to chase the money and change clubs every season.
  18. I would be very surprised if the club could afford to have both of them in the team as they won’t be cheap to run and how many changes would need to be made ?
  19. Yes…a true fan of speedway , not a win at all costs sort of Man Utd type trophy hunter, and by the way, I’m not from Redcar , I’m more a neutral now my team have gone.
  20. Think you are being very unfair as four paid 5 from three rides on an away track is a very good return. Jenkins was poor at Redcar and obviously the change has done him good, that’s just the way it goes sometimes.
  21. Bears riders inconsistencies costing them again. Richings getting vital points at the crucial time gets Cheethas the 2 league points.
  22. Not really as he was always going to racing in Denmark, just like Richard Lawson who’s missing at Poole.
  23. We all pay our money and we all have an opinion. The fans called for changes ,they got one, now you don’t like it and want another one. Perhaps some have more patience than others. Lets face it , Bears are not strong this year and probably won’t win anything but is anything in speedway currently worth winning ? Some of us are just thankful that Redcar produces good racing and hope that continues.
  24. Big gamble if they do. Wright will need time and there isn’t much of that with a thin fixture list.
