May have to ask the BSPL, let’s hope the rumours are wrong but it’s well known the Chairman isn’t a fan of the NDL , for some reason.

Never been a problem at Workington, Berwick or Redcar, the three tracks I visit , as they all host junior league matches , intervals , etc and still complete the meetings in under two and a half hours . Just needs proper management.

Rumour has it that the NDL is to be reduced to a six heat mini match as a second half attraction. I do hope this is wrong for many reasons. Less rides , no time to play with set ups, slick / bald/ rutted tracks….I can go on, let’s hope I don’t have too.

That seems to be the agreed line up, Just the two changes, all very familiar . Hard to tell if it’s a good side till we see the other teams , rules and the points limit.

I hear the word ‘ Click ‘ used a fare bit at Redcar but what does it matter that the management team are very friendly with their riders ? Despite last season it’s a fairly successful club , on track at least , and no rumours of it closing unlike others .

But hasn't the point limit been altered ? Im guessing as the AGM has been postponed so fans are still in the dark.

Also means one massive wage bill as it’s well known Klindt doesn’t come cheap. Think King is a more likely option, wage wise and points limit .

As I’m assuming all the 2026 riders will be present at the end of season event , it would make sense that the signings will be present, if they were NEW signings then the names would be on the internet immediately they turned up at the bar so…. Wright , Pijper & Southwick …..is my 20 pence worth . Im thinking Mulford will also be back. Scott could end up back with Oxford or anywhere as he will be in big demand. Edwards to Workington or Oxford. Allen….not sure but could also be Workington. Lambert to Berwick. I’ll also be collecting my winnings on George English being the new co-promoter.

As one who was actually there , It wasn’t a good advert for the sport. The stadium looks unloved and the club needs a new wave of enthusiasm but I know personally that volunteers/staff have walked away due to clashes with the grumpy owners. Running such a meeting on a cold damp night with a ‘guest’ track man wasn't a great idea in hindsight but at least they tried.

Your recollection is wrong , Terry the Track was not responsible for the Coventry incident although it was a guy with a Polish surname. He did win Redcar track of the year in 2017 & 2018 and is currently the SCB track inspector with Jonathan Swales.

So why say they should sell to him ?🤷‍♂️ Jonathan left because he was another one to fall out with the brothers , like a few before him, but it was interesting to see Terry the Track there on Saturday, is he being tempted back ?

As riders and clubs need to know the structure of UK speedway, points limit , number in a side, how many fixtures etc so they can make their own decisions on who to sign , who to sign for etc , then it is VERY IMPORTANT to those involved within the sport. Foreign clubs are already announcing riders signed for 2027 why does the UK always have to be last !

They will need to discuss the new Polish league rider requirements, the rumoured ‘demand’ for an 8 team Premiership , with a doubt over Sheffield and a possible Eastbourne return . The supposed doing away with the NDL ( 😢 ) and then place what’s left in a championship that can be decided by a referees announcement it seems 🤷‍♂️.

As it’s not for sale so that can’t happen and I understand that the current owners would never ever sell to Mr. Rathbone. The track man has left so you have your wish there , both Terry the Track and Jonathan Swales were in the pits but I don’t see any change in management as Jamie Swales will still have a say in matters but the delay in naming the new co promoter ( my 50p is still on George ) is a little baffling.
