Brilliant signing 👏 especially if he starts at reserve.
-
Depends on how the powers that be are feeling at the time. If it was a choice between Madsen and Kubera I'd chose Kubera every single time. Particularly with Magic already in the team. Imagine Wiktor Lampart or Patryk Wojdylo too... I know that ain't gonna happen though. I suspect the other reserve will be Lewis Kerr? 1. Dominik Kubera 2. Erik Riss 3. Maciej Janowski 4. Charles Wright 5. Rohan Tungate 6. One of the 3 named above 7. Luke Killeen

I'm glad he will be tbh, I have a soft spot for the chargers (not sure why as I don't really have a soft spot for the Spires or Cheetahs). I enjoy watching their reruns on YouTube and they've always got a young and exciting team, jody being one of them. Nice to see them sticking with him.

Now that Jody hasn't signed for the senior team and I now know that Luke is eligible for the NDL, I'll go for: 1. Luke Killeen 9.87 2. Senna Summers 3.44 3. Ashton Vale 6.17 4. Rhys Naylor 4.13 5. Jason Garrad 8.36 6. 3.03 7. Declan Killeen 3.00 Pure speculation as I don't know why Jody wasn't included in the cheetahs. I'd also love to see a team with both Killeens in.

Jody Scott rather than Max Perry perhaps?

Jonas didn't really work out at Redcar at the beginning of last year at number 3 and number 2, he's a decent second string and good reserve but still young and I'm sure still improving. Mitch is Australia's equivalent of Ashton Boughen (forgive the reference). He's got all the talent and potential in the world, he's very young but just hasn't had the time yet to prove he's consistently going to be successful. He's a very exciting signing for British speedway in general imo. But as you say, Heeps as second highest scorer is concerning...
-
1. Sam Masters 9.15 2. Jonas Knudsen 4.97 3. Dan Gilkes 5.08 4. Jordan Jenkins 6.21 5. Cameron Heeps 6.37 6. Mitch McDiarmid 4.00 7. Luke Killeen 3.85

Wrong thread.

I'd have never in a million guesses named Jonas or Mitch. It's nice to see so many new faces in this country next year, well done oxford. I've just realised though... that leaves either Jenkins, Heeps, Gilkes or Knudsen as the number 5... and a lot of team surgery required if Scott comes back from injury.

I'd be pretty gutted to lose out on Lasse if i was an Edinburgh fan, if it turns out to be true.
-
Would I be wrong in assuming that Ben Barker and Kyle Newman are certainties next year? How about a return for Ben Trigger since he's struggling for a team place, could double up with the National Trophy side? Lasse Fredriksen isn't back at Edinburgh but is hinting at having a Championship place lined up. 1. Nico Covatti 2. Kyle Newman/Lasse Fredriksen 3. Joe Thompson 4. Paco Castagna 5. Ben Barker 6. Alfie Bowtell 7. Ben Trigger Strong reserves but not a very good top end, a typical Plymouth team. Edit: I built the team to 38 for some reason, now built to 40 😄
-
Yet people are insistent that there's a shortage of riders... There's been so many in very recent years that have jacked it in after not finding a team or being bounced from team to team because of their average or performing too well... Ben Trigger next?
-
He's gonna say that though isn't he? It's a very generic thing to say when you've signed for a team. He's not gonna say 'despite the team looking sh ite I decided to sign anyway'

What 'antics' has Brady been up to. I don't know him as a rider very well, but to me he seems like one of the more level headed and less whingy of the aussies that are about. Am I missing something? -
Question then. Does that mean Luke Harrison and Jake Mulford are both ineligible for the NDL too, given that both of their averages are above 4.00 in the CL. Or because they currently have NDL averages are they allowed? Also is it just the final averages that count? Jack Smith had an average over 5 at one point but is now below 4, would he be eligible. Thanks.
-
Thanks. I was not aware of the over 4 average rule, I assumed there'd be some rules in place, I just didn't know what they were.
-
Is the 3 league rule still a thing? I read someone say somewhere that Sam Hagon was ineligible to race in the NL but I dunno why?
-
I don't see Luke riding NL next year. 1 Jason Garrad 8.36 2 Senna Summers 3.44 3 Ashton Vale 6.17 4 Jacob Clouting 5.04 5 Jody Scott 8.10 6 3.89 Left 3.89 7 Declan Killeen 3.00
-
Never heard of him, please tell me more.
-
To be fair in the team you quoted Paco would be nowhere near heatleader... But it doesn't matter regardless because that team is way off.
-
I see Erik as more likely to be at Oxford or Edinburgh tbh? Redcar have Charles Wright (8.37) and Danny King (7.88) If they added Erik (8.32) and Jason Edwards (6.19) to make the top 4 they'd only have 9.24 for the final 3 riders... I just can't see them going with a tail that long. You'd think most likely Oxford, since they just signed him in the Prem.
-
Just starting this thread as there is a lot of young talent around the British Youth Championship. I'm just curious as to who is old and good enough to progress onto the NDL/whatever the format will be next season. It sounds like there's going to be a lot of places up for grabs...? Oliver Bovingdon Ollie Binns Caydin Martin Harry Fletcher Lee Harrison Who else is likely to be considered by teams, are any of these riders even old enough? I know some of them are racing 500s at Scunthorpe Amateur meetings, but I believe the age limit for that is lower than the NDL? It's so hard to find any real info on the BYC which is sad... There used to be a proper website with profiles and everything.

If Oxford used Gilkes at reserve and as expected brought back Maciej, it would leave over 10 points left for the number 1... I know Oxford have had some questionable team selections in the last couple of seasons but starting that far below the limit in the Premiership world be crazy... unless there's any 10 point riders knocking about 😄 1. 2. Erik Riss 5.55 3. Maciej Janowski 7.02 5. Charles Wright 6.32 5. Rohan Tungate 7.71 6. 7. Luke Killeen RS 13.40 for final two riders. I'd personally go for two riders in the top 5 and have Rohan start at 1 and Erik at reserve because I don't see many out and out number 1s left unless they pull a rabbit out of a hat and bring one of the big GP stars over.
