Speedway definitely the winner last night, overtaking from heat 1to 16. Richard Lawson the biggest difference last night in my opinion. Just went about his business, no drama, never out of control just so under the radar when everyone else seemed so frantic.

Don’t really know where to ask this, but seeing as this was Max Clegg’s last club here goes: will Max’s average drop now that he has done 3? meetings for Scunthorpe and if so when? I know he got a rough deal with Newcastles meetings taken off and just wondered if these matches made any difference.

Will be hard to replace Basso at home if he’s not riding. More so with Poole& Oxford riding tonight as well.

Redcars choice of guest for Tuesday will be the key to how the meeting ends result wise. Need 8-9 points from his 4 rides to progress in my opinion. Rumours last night about it being Richie Worrall, but who knows.

Never saw Middlo throw his toys out. They did blade the dirt to the outside of the bends at heat 11, even one of the commentary team remarked about it happening

I expect Danny to have 7 rides tonight, regular 4, 1x R/R, 1x heat 15 & 1x tac sub. Charles 6 rides, no tac sub. That is hopefully 30 points from their rides. Meaning we have to manage our R/R & tac sub tactically & ruthlessly. Not a total lost cause I hope.

2 points from 3 riders is not good enough- I agree with that statement but… We are more than capable of doing the same to Oxford at our track. We are built pretty much the same, just depends whose lower riders get it right on the night. One question though, why is Jason not getting 7 rides on nights like this? Or at least 6 if we use Tac Sub.

Craziest rain off/ not a rain off was a home meeting at Redcar, versus Plymouth. Turned up at 7 only to be told the meeting was off by car park staff. Meeting went ahead about 8-8.30 that evening. Never found out until a notification came up on phone to say The score was ? After so many heats. Loads must have missed that meeting that night.

Once travelled from Middlesbrough to Stoke to find it rained off, Speedway Star out, Belle Vue had a fixture. Hot footed to Belle Vue, rained off. Speedway Star back out, Halifax at home quick run on M62, meeting still on, junior 4 TT. Back home to Middlesbrough. Oh so miss all the Saturday options.

Alcock, Palin & Kennedy we’re all second bend if I recall correctly

3 of the said crashes were coming out of the second bend just after the air fence finished. Wonder if an extra panel could save a lot of injuries. Don’t know where Jack crashed yesterday but if it was same again it had to be worth a look

Might have been said already but there is nothing to stop a concession/OAP paying full rate anyway. All they have to do is ask for a full price adult ticket & not show their passes.
