Will Redcar be without Jody Scott at Workington on Saturday? Jody is down to ride in the U19 Championship at Plymouth on Saturday, presuming that will get priority over a rearranged league fixture?

Only rumour I heard was Mildenhall to Prem with Mr Brady in charge. 🤷‍♂️. Pure rumour & 2+2 probably making 5

At a guess the CLRC on Saturday night & Polish Play Offs on Sunday could be an issue for a Sunday fixture. Just guessing, no other reason it can’t be Sunday. As a Redcar fan I expected to be at Workington on Sunday 13th also 🤷‍♂️

So last night showed most of the riders for the CLRC on track. 9 days to Sheffield. Pickering must be favourite, but only the final is the one to win. 🤞it’s a good track to give some good riders a chance to win. Let’s see who pulls out before tapes up.

The shock of the meeting was the announcement from Jamie Swales that he is stepping down as Promoter at the end of the season. Also an excellent 2 minute silence for the 2 Police officers tragically killed last week. Well done Redcar Speedway

Redcar don’t seem to venture too far in guest choices so I agree with Klindt, or Danny King if free. Depends who is free & wants to go to Workington 🤷‍♂️

Just had a look at the GP prize money in comparison to th British Final. first gets $13860 or £10222.79 last gets $3990 or £2942.92 so is British Final low🤷‍♂️, GP to high, or both not enough.

But surely British Soeedway could answer a lot of its own problems through the licensing system. Ride in GB on a GB licence. Don’t ride, no GB licence. No GB licence no access to GP, SEC etc. take out a Polish licence & get treat like Artem& Emil, good Polish money but World Champ goes out of the window🤷‍♂️. Let’s see who wants money or glory then 🤔

But not for long, packing it in at the end of the season so he tells people 🤷‍♂️

Question for those that know the rules. How was Klindt able to ride as a guest on Saturday? As far as I am aware Redcar could not re-sign Klindt due to the 4 league rule, he can’t sign for a Champ club due to Polands 4 league rule, yet can guest for a Champ club even though it’s the 4th league he’s riding in 🤷‍♂️. Doesn’t make sense to me.

All these reasons that are being said are truly valid and obviously costing speedway a lot. I go to Redcar regularly, but it is becoming a luxury. The working man’s wage just hasn’t risen with inflation over the past X number of years. In 2024 I went to Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Worky, Scunny, Oxford, Cardiff and more. Never been to an away match since May 25 so far. Moneys tight, fuels expensive, admission high but not excessive. All reasons the fan has to contend with. Missed 4 home matches early this year so I could go on holiday, extra £200 to spend in the sun. All coming down to priorities now I’m afraid🤷‍♂️

Let’s hope Jake Allen’s shoulder is ok as well, missed Plymouth but Edinburgh equally as hard a place to get round 🤞

He did crash at Plymouth last Saturday. Although he had finished his rides( apart from heat 15), it was announced he had been withdrawn from the meeting. Don’t know why but presuming a leg injury the way he was walking 🤷‍♂️

Pretty sure they helped Charles Wright after his big crash IN Poland a couple of seasons back

I agree with what you say and I’m just guessing this is the reason🤷‍♂️. The only thing is that Poland was his 4th team to sign for, so have Poland bent the rules for him? If he now is left out of a team the 3 team rule MIGHT apply. Like I say could be totally wrong but can’t see any other reason. Where are all the “rule book” members when you need them😂

Im thinking that Nikolai already has 4 teams and Poland don’t allow that. Could be talking a load of Horlicks though. I think his Polish club was the 4th one he signed for though🤷‍♂️. So if he is dropped will he be able to sign for anyone else?. That’s my theory, will be very happy to be proved wrong, could do with 2 big hitters but we have what we have so onwards & upwards🤞

And if you are right and confident, then it may be the reason I am thinking, and if that is the case Nikolai won’t be able to ride in the Championship at all🤔

While I totally agree with what you say, and I know you are a verging “ stat” man, someone who can win heat 1 would help as well 😂. Totally agree he has been a godsend, and when Charles got injured not 1 person really disagreed that he was the best replacement available.

Don’t be too sure with Gary Havelock helping him out🤔. Read that he’s been given a 6.00 point championship average so it’s a big gamble for anyone at this stage of the season.

Yellow Met office warning for thunder & lightning been issued from 2-9 pm. 🤞 it misses the track area.

Can’t see Redcar doing that personally, but you never know🤷‍♂️. Did it before a few year back, but it’s not really Redcars style. Anyway Simon has his new race suit so he won’t be going anywhere soon😂. Personally, if the promotion came out & said something along the lines of” sorry we messed up team building this year, the 1 rider over 8 point average messed us up. We tried a different way, it hasn’t worked so stick by us and we will sort it for next year”. Something like that would hopefully calm the fans and let the riders relax a bit. It’s not as though it’s the first time we’ve challenged for the wooden spoon is it 🤷‍♂️
