Seeing as the British Final doesn’t count towards the GP this year/is ridden after the GP, then technically Charles Wright should get the spot again as he is still the current “ highest” qualifier after the GP riders. I fully expect it will go to Brennan though as they will probably nominate/seed a rider rather than go on the qualification procedure.

As different names are mentioned for the promotion, surely it must be a current/recent person involved as they would probably need to be a VISA sponsor or whatever is needed for foreign riders🤷‍♂️. Just a thought

Without getting a diary out, in 2006 Redcar we’re putting the tracks clay base down in February, so there is plenty of time for Northampton to be ready for early April. I can’t remember how many facilities Redcar had in place around now, but Northampton is definitely more advanced at the moment than Redcar was. Redcar opened on the 4th April ish I think. There is a more documented state of Redcar’s beginning in another Facebook group but I can’t remember the name of the group🙈

Maybe Mr Godfrey will offer a cheap rent & lease to use Scunthorpe if Northampton can’t run 🤷‍♂️. 7 day access etc I do believe. Funnier things have happened 🤔

I know the 75% one exists as it affected Redcar last year with Erik Riss. Not sure about the other rule 🤷‍♂️ but think if it had been brought in it was to stop the possible re declarations occurring when a situation like Josh Pickering’s average drop comes about. 🤷‍♂️. Doesn’t the team have to ride so many matches before changes are allowed? Sure this was a rule before but not sure if it’s now scrapped. 25% of matches before a change is allowed rings a bell🤷‍♂️

I think the problem people have is the “ what we had” to “what we’ve got”. We have lost Danny King & Erik Riss and replaced them with Jake Allen & Jordan Jenkins, it’s just the initial optics tell you it’s not as good. Ok, will agree with what you call top riders, but if them few can be retained and added too maybe it could hold the door until 2027. Just a thought with a bit of vision thrown in. Also, as in all walks of life, it’s amazing what a bit of bull and a promise can to do to people. 🤔

If the Prem go with 5 teams in 2026 to keep the “top” riders here, there could be the chance that 2027 could have more teams in the Prem. Maybe running 1 season with 5 teams and “ taking it on the chin” with the “hope” of Peterborough, Northampton etc boosting the Prem in 2027 is worth the chance 🤷‍♂️

Biggest problem with this team will be inconsistency. Even this year the current Redcar team were up & down. Will always have a strong reserve, but as has been said heat 13&15 could be iffy. A lot of pressure on Charles each match. Very Oxford 2025 in the way it’s built, and they didn’t make the play offs etc. Font think this team will but will be very happy to be proved wrong 👍
