Gavin Parr said on a podcast this week that Redcar couldn’t do 2H & 2A. Main reason is that Redcar are 1 of 4 Friday night teams & this would mean Redcar had to have 7 off day home fixtures to make it work. 🤷‍♂️

The “rumour” I heard was: Glasgow want Ashton, Ashton wants to go to Glasgow, Oxford say buy him then! Could be a load of crap for all I know, but that’s my rumour 🤷‍♂️

As a Redcar fan I have no problems with Vinnies riding, yet 😂. There is another thread on the go regarding Ashton Boughen shutting the throttle off which then begs the question of which is more dangerous, riding throttle open or backing off🤷‍♂️. This will only really be answered when Ashton throttles off and someone behind/challenging crashes. Over to the ex riders on this one.

Unless we have Erik Riss back there is no way we should let Danny go. If possible would take both of them 👍

Being a bit presumptuous here but have Oxford 4 riders sort of named but not confirmed? I’m thinking Boughen & Killeen confirmed & Scott Nicholls, Jody Scott presumed to be in team but not confirmed. Don’t know any averages but is Luke & Jody expected to be reserves? Just asking. Thanks in Advance

If you don’t take Danny King back then there must be others on the list eg: S Worrall, D Thompson, T Brennan, B Cook etc. Just a few examples of possible riders that could fill a Danny King gap. I would be ok with Danny back again though.

Can take or leave Gilkes, would love to see Erik back. Ben has done little wrong but if we needed to go to a 2 point man Freddie Hodder would be a good choice.

How many meetings have Workington got left before the 75% rule applies ? As a Redcar fan we have just been caught like this, so you might have to move very quickly to cover Tate.

A really bad dent in our play off hopes, losing to Poole lat night. Can Redcar still make the play offs? Not sure but the Glasgow away match becomes very important now as it needs re arranging before any cut off dates come into play. Any sign of this meeting happening soon ?

I think Rew only had a visa for 1 league so couldn’t ride championship at the time, haven’t got a clue how the Visa’s work but think that was the reason.

Just to put another person forward for home track advantage then, Tom Brennan. Rode for Belle Vue long enough to know the track, then what about Steve Worrall, Charles Wright, Connor Mountain etc, all former/ current riders that have had Belle Vue as the home track in the last couple of years. Home track knowledge goes from the bottom to top of that British Final line up.

Wasn’t there a drug test needed on the run up to the end of the ban as well? Or several drug tests?

The only part that doesn’t sit right with me( struggling to get my head around it) is how you can have a guest for something that hasn’t happened yet. Covatti hasn’t failed to turn up tonight, yet, but a guest is allowed. I know he’s probably said he’s not coming, doesn’t intend to ride etc but how can a facility be allowed for something that hasn’t happened. That’s speedway I suppose, for the good of the sport etc
