Poole Pirates Vs Oxford Cheetahs BSN Good Friday
Noelinho replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great start for Poole. Oxford may as well use the next three BSN matches to make sure they're ready for the league. But hopefully they don't work it out before we meet them in the KO Cup. -
Scunthorpe Scorpions V Workington Comets 29/3/24
Noelinho replied to paul84's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You can’t muck about people who have already paid to be there, e.g., season ticket holders. Next available Friday is 18 August, which is after Workington’s last fixture! -
As opposed to July when they'll be burning hay on the back straight two hours before the meeting?
-
But they’re still in the league. Doing better than many.
-
Frankly, Plymouth aren't making the playoffs, so they can have Bartosz Zmarzlik for cover if they can convince him to come as far as I'm concerned.
-
He likes a trip on the tractor though.
-
Yes, but the lack of card payments is, I believe, because they use WiFi, which doesn’t stretch to the admissions gates. You can buy your chips with a card! Maybe Stewart Dickson could put a WiFi access point on the tractor.
-
Given they don’t have card payments for entry yet, I’m guessing not. Still a lot of other things they’re working on, I think.

Leicester vs King’s Lynn - Thursday 21st March
Noelinho replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He is. It changed last year and is in the Scab regulations under 02.2.11. Explicitly mentions use of Eurosport/BSN coverage, and says it must be used where available. Although it doesn’t specify *when* it “must” be used, which makes that emphasis redundant. -
Leicester vs King’s Lynn - Thursday 21st March
Noelinho replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He did, if he wanted it. -
His away average was a point higher than what he’s been signed on, so he’ll be fine. He’s the best value rider on the league, on a rolling average/2023 average basis.
-
After all that, a pleasant surprise, and the best signing Workington could have made.
-
6.20 for Sam.
-
I think Palovaara would be reassessed, but all three fit based on their last averages.
-
I don't think it's Claus, much as I'd love to be wrong.
-
To be fair, when he was on the bike, he was very good. His Championship average was 9.13. Bomber was 9.14.
-
Armadale's not even the second best in Scotland
-
In England ;-)

Just mute the troublemakers. As for losing enthusiasm for the speedway, you’ll soon get it back when you go to Northside (I forget the new name!) and see it.
-
I reckon you can hear one without farting.
-
They are, but probably not until May based on last year’s coverage. It was only 10 meetings plus the playoffs.

International Test Matches
Noelinho replied to Bavarian's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I’m sure Glasgow would host one, if we could arrange it. We’ve hosted a match against Poland too, and they’ve been well attended. No FIM event up here again this year, so it would be our best opportunity of a high-exposure (for speedway) event. -
It would be either 6.00 or 8.50, based on his Polish average. As he last raced in the Premiership in 2017 and the Championship in 2011, I think the converted Polish averages would take priority over his old British averages. i realise this was an utterly pointless response!
