  1. It only applies to guesting twice in eight days, so Glasgow at Workington doesn’t matter in this case.
  2. Not sure it would be better to throw the bike in, crash a lot, and get hurt. He's got speed, that's something that's hard to teach. He'll work the rest out in time.
  3. People got too carried away with Jack Smith’s performance last week. I stand by what I said - one good performance doesn’t strike out a lot of underwhelming performances at Championship level. Whatever the reasons for it, his baseline performances have been more like last night’s than last Friday’s. Good performances at National League don’t necessarily carry to the Championship - Kyle Bickley a case in point. I hope he does well, but the more likely scenario on past performances is that he scores a very small handful of points. Up against Cook, a seemingly rejuvenated Batchelor, and Vissing, I think we’ll be in for a hard night. Certainly closer than against Oxford.
  4. I think Stene Pijper will turn heads pretty soon. He’s only just on 500s but he’s looked very impressive around Ashfield.
  5. We did better than expected at home, despite not being terribly convincing, so I think anything can happen tonight.
  6. Just battered and bruised, AFAIK. Nothing broken. Last I heard, he should be OK for Friday, but I'm getting that information second hand.
  7. It was mentioned on a BSN stream, but it’s not mentioned in the regulations.
  8. It's a shame, because his contributions were worthwhile.
  9. Also, if she drops out I think she'll get a ban since FIM meetings take priority.
  10. If a rider is only declared for an NDL team, they can guest for whoever they want, whenever they want, as long as they fit the average. Same when you're replacing a #1 - no 8 day rule for that either.
  11. Possibly. Guess it depends who he wants to take a booking from. Although given he scored paid 12 at Ashfield last week, he might think that's the best prospect. I'm sure the promotion would've at least had a chat with him after last Friday's meeting. There were definitely people telling Cami to get it done!
  12. If we want to guarantee he races for us with no other bookings getting in the way, yes. But I don't think we need to in order to get around the 8 day rule, as he is only declared in an NDL team, so I don't think that causes us a problem.
  13. I know Ace is out for Wednesday, didn't realise he's out for Friday too. That leaves us with very few options. I think it might just be Freddy Hodder from Championship teams. But yes, we are very beatable, not that Oxford managed it, somehow! Claus should wipe the floor with our 3/4 and no reason to believe Tate will struggle. I think Claus will be the difference.
  14. Not sure he's available on Friday He might be for the KO Cup second leg the next day though.
  15. Turns out my pre-race analysis is about as accurate as my weather predictions - useless!
  16. This year, averages include league and BSN Series. Last year, it was league only. Never includes playoffs/knockout, etc. Just the stages where all teams are in.
  17. I am not so confident. I’d just be happy with a win of any sort. I think we will struggle big time at reserve, and I fancy Nicholls to have the better of Worrall tonight.
  18. Remember, averages include the BSN Series this season, so rider averages will update quicker than we’ve been used to.
  19. I’d rather have either of the other two. If we have Jack Smith, we’d be better off just putting Ace out three more times and going light in heat two.
  20. Not quite the averages I have for them. For championship league meetings, I have (exc. bonus points): Tarasenko 10.22 (yeah, two meetings, but I'm a Glasgow fan!) Douglas 9.73 Masters 9.23 Basso 9.19 Harris 9.14 Cook 9.13 Kerr 8.94 Lawson 8.81 Nicholls 8.75 Wright 8.56 Scott was actually third in averages on his team. Glasgow had the best two two (and three) in the league, with Oxford not far behind. Oxford definitely have the best top two now though, I would agree. If I had to take any #5 in the league, it would be Scott. He's really come back strong the last couple of years.
  21. Officially, yes, but included the abandoned home meeting against Berwick, where he scored 6 from 2 rides.
