  1. Greyhound racing does not need spectators to be sustainable, in fact it costs less to run without spectators as there is no need for lighting, heating nor support staff, the bulk of income for Greyhound Stadia comes from live streaming around the World to gambling outlets be it online or in shops.
  2. The Cradley thingy which i have removed, but with regards Vacher he is no more than a Jobsworth.
  3. Yes it's long overdue, yes the riders are going to cry that can't make it pay, yes the tuners are going to cry, yes the standard will drop but in the long term this will be the only way Speedway will survive in the Uk because it has been unviable for many seasons now, semi pro riders is the way forward, perhaps the only way.
  4. Unless Mr Tolley has changed his mind you will find you are wrong on this one Deanno.
  5. If any Government department is involved they won't be in any rush, I can see Workington's results being expunged, meanwhile what happens with the riders ? they still have bills to pay, this cannot be allowed to go on for much longer.
  6. With Birmingham operating RR for Rew who is riding in Poland I cannot see the Brummies getting within 20 points of Sheffield.
  7. Well so far it's the usual follow the leader, almost like the track has an opposite camber, move off the line and go backwards.
  8. They won't have anywhere to ride soon.
  9. If it is indeed linked to HMRC and UKVI then i cannot see a speedy resolution to this.
  10. If it is a visa issue then how has the said rider passed through immigration in the first instance ? and secondly if he has passed immigration what visa is/was he on ?. Then we have the suspension for 7 days and the cancelling of 3 meetings, that is a chunk of fixtures cancelled at short notice and leads me to believe it was ordered by someone other than the BSPL.
  11. Yes, I suspect that is true but you could add it's safe as long as Stadia Uk (Osborne) is making money on the lease, he will not let it go (the lease) so long as there is an opportunity for something along the lines of Blunsdon and i suspect the closing of greyhound racing may be something along the lines of making the Stadium unviable therefore allowing it to be redeveloped, I may be wrong but nothing surprises me when it comes to Osborne, indeed seeing a return of greyhound racing without spectators wouldn't surprise me either, I think that is called keeping your options open and it would mean Osborn could keep his seat on the GBGB.
  12. Zagar and Musialak making sure they have a nice average for next season, personally I don't blame them.
  13. Even that money was mismanaged, it was alleged (that as a thank you) the guy ( Russell) who arranged the Sky deal allegedly pocketed a large chunk of it every year whilst grass roots got bugger all.
  14. If it's BB that's signed then it is a very poor signing indeed, Ben is struggling to get points away from home in the Championship never mind scoring in the Premiership, his home average for 2025 is 6.82 and his away average is 2.93 he is on a big downward spiral and is barely a decent 2nd string these days and that's in the Championship, in my opinion they would be better off asking Vuolas back or an Aussie from Scunthorpe.
  15. So does that mean they will choose the less attractive fixtures for streaming so as not to have a negative effect on the gate ?, that would be the kind of thought process the BSPL seem to specialise in.
  16. Yet people keep telling me nowt wrong with the track, looking at the shape it looks okay but week in week out it fails to allow for good speedway, there seems to be one line and when riders move off that line there is nothing for them, for years i have banged on about the track but nothing has been done, now it's to late no point when they are closing in a few months. The post above seems to suggest the riders seem to prefer to race away from Perry Barr which just about sums it up, may i suggest Brum ride every meeting away from home at least Tolley would not need to dip so deep into his pocket every meeting and make excuses most weeks about the track prep, hey we would still have a Birmingham team if they did that and then they could drop down to the Championship, I had better keep my mouth shut knowing the BSPL they might think that is a good idea 😉🤣.
  17. Being Beaten by 2 riders that make the gate at Perry Barr is the norm, just because said rider happens to ride for BV is no different, had it been at the NSS then that would have been different.
  18. Birmingham struggle to win at home at the best of times, both teams using RR for their No1, I am thinking the reserves hold the key to this but whoever has their gating gloves on will win.
  19. Is it any wonder crowds are poor ?. I really don't know why they bothered for this season.
  20. Try using the same details that you use to watch Brummie home meetings, i have done that and it puts me through to proceed to checkout.
  21. I wish SCS well in their efforts to return Speedway to Brandon and they have done some amazing work, however the ball remains in Brandon Estates court and until such time as they wish to proceed with anything it is all a matter of wait and see and prepare, however it is my belief that BE will just sit and wait until the Stadium becomes beyond repair, I cannot for the life of me see them leasing out the Stadium because if they do that then the Stadium will need to be refurbished and brought in to a useable condition which will then defeat their end game of developing the site, purchasing the site for me seems to be the only way forward can SCS obtain the financial support for this to happen? that is the 6 million dollar question, but with Speedway in the UK down and almost out I for the life of me cannot see a business plan that only involve Speedway and Stocks generating enough income to support the purchase (were it for sale) of the Stadium, any business plan would need to include something more than just Speedway & Stocks most likely would at the very least include some development of part of the site, Yes it is possible to see Sports return to Brandon but somehow someone has to get Brandon Estates to accept an offer for the site, until then it is a waiting game and time is on Brandon Estates side.
