  1. Yes, agree Bassoon, Kyle can improve his average without doubt.
  2. so around 7.5 -- yes I think he should do that OK, all being well, and as long as Poland doesn't become too much a distraction.
  3. Brennan is good, no doubt about it. However, I think he has an average of 6+ so putting three points on that will be a stretch even for such a talent as Tom.
  4. Oh I see. They'll be called Iwade and not Kent. So it is very close then to Central Park on that basis. Not a bad jaunt for me, if the Dartford crossing plays ball.
  5. I see the statement from Speedwaygb says Kent didn't make it. Take it that is just for the Championship and they will be OK to come to the national league agm and be in the NL next year?
  6. I seem to remember a time when your No 1 by average did not have to ride in the number one position. There's a lot to like about the your idea of using the top five where a team manager wants.
  7. That looks like a team that will race. Suits me and makes it worth travelling to see the Stars. They've had too many in recent times who just rode. Big diffrencece between a rider and a racer and I know which one I like watching
  8. And they are. But if the company which ran the speedway has no cash left, there's no money in the bank to pay riders. Probably waiting for sale to go through and money from sale will pay riders. No different to me having zero cash in my bank account - Tesco will decline my card. No everyone wants a programme. If husband and wife go, for example, one programme is sufficient in most cases. Others will print a racecard for themselves and not be bothered with a programme.
  9. Pretty close these days to Northampton with all the development there has been since speedway was last there.
  10. Thanks for that update and good to hear things are in a good place for 2023
  11. Would I be right in thinking that Eastbourne does not have any assets against its name? It seems that the BSPL took away any assets they might have had when the club closed in the summer. Before that, the club was NDL and were there any assets there - and if so, did they not pass to the bspl at closure. Going back to Elite league days, I can only think of Michelsen as an asset who rode for Eastbourne and who is still in action. That would seem on Wee Eck's figures to mean the new consortium will need around £27K for BSPL charges and then we know the air fence needs replacing - another £20K or thereabouts. You are also going to need some money in the bank in case it rains - and it will. All in all, it is clear the new consortium has a big task to get everything in place and totally makes sense while they are not rushing into 2022, especially with so much bad blood flying around over the happenings of the season just gone.
  12. Not long to wait know. Hope the Stars pull a real rabbit from the hat. If they can be highly competitive, there will be some great matches with Ipswich.
  13. With a grand total of nine members!
  14. Kennett at No 1 - he didn't look like one when I went to Eastbourne earlier in the year. To be fair, I did read that her perked up a bit but when I saw him he wasn't race fit by a mile.
  15. Can't imagine why anyone would buy a season ticket for speedway. Generally, they are poor value. Go on holiday and you 'free' week evaporates. Also, you lose the flexibility of not going if it is cold/wet/too hot/showing or if you don't feel well, or are isolating.
  16. Stadium can just be mothballed if it is just dog racing. Saves on refurbishment. That's probably why ARC wanted a big rent to help pay for the works which would only benefit speedway.
  17. Matt and Danny could get you to do the jokes at the Poole end of season do...on the other hand
  18. Feared that was the case. Sad for the Eastbourne fans and sad for the promotion. 3 local lads in the 2022 team would be a good start - mind you Brennan could well be full time in Poland by then.
  19. It must be pretty sad for the supporters of the Kent Kings and the Eastbourne Eagles seeing 'their' riders being snapped up by other clubs for the 2022 season.Of course, it is what happens when a club folds but I am certain a few hearts will aching in the South East of England. If you are a Kent fan, it will be a case of what might have been with regard to Gilks/Mulford and for the Eastbourne people with Brennan/Ablitt and Foord. I suppose once they've gone, they've gone, or could Eastbourne get those three back if the club comes to tapes in 2023?
  20. Seems unlikely from the Kent statement but it is not 100pc clear, to be fair.
  21. Kennett looks to me to be a huge risk, based on his results for Eastbourne this year. Testimonial?
  22. Really hope the NDL in 2022 will be as such that Mildenhall can defend the title.
