Sorry Rob, track reserves points definitely do not count in the overall standings. Wildcards and FIM reserves points DO count, however.

First the bad news... Star Lady, robbiec45, Lis, Heathcote, MattK, sarahlynch and Minianitsmall all dropped out of the race for this year's crown Talking of bad news... World No.1 woody-the-bee lost 70,000 Credits ! World No.3 smiles lost 40,000 ! {VERY unfortunate though} World No.4 Subedei lost 20,000 ! and World No.9 London Witch also lost 20,000 ! King's Lynn fan Star Lady lost all of her 18,000 on Crump and Gollob. Better luck next year mate... On the plus side... Cougar Pirate retakes the lead, after gaining 160,000 (!) Credits, thanks to Jarek Hampel. Dark Horse won 71,000 ! full-throttle gained 70,000 ! NOBODY went for Lindback at all...but well done to Buzzybee for picking both Hampel AND Zagar. As did Crazy Munchie and J-D. World No.2 drakey was the only other person to pick two finalists successfully. He went for Hans and Hampel, as I did unofficially, but surprisingly nobody else did !

I'm away for a while myself from tomorrow, so I'll put the betting thread online tonight.

I'm on 55k Subedei...I've bottled it a few times this year, but like many others, AJ proved my saviour tonight. Don't know why he was such a popular choice really, and I don't think I got the betting points wrong on him, but maybe I did. May have quite a few big-odd's for the next one, what d'ya reckon ?

Nothing strange about it at all. I closed it because we already had this one running. You're not silly Garf, so don't waste your time thinking it was for any other reason.

Meanwhile, back on topic... Enjoyed the GP, but it still amazes me how daft speedway riders are. Not just them either...you have to include their team too. It was plainly obvious how that track needed to be ridden, right from Heat 1, yet very few rider's actually got it even nearly right. Strange bunch... ...still, it made it interesting

Zagar went left quite a bit as Scotty was coming through on the inside at a far greater speed. I'd say Scott could have avoided the clash, but at the same time, Zagar was going too slowly and still tried to block him. So, a fair call from the ref. But it could have gone either way really. Don't think Nicki touched Iversen at all, so no problem with that decision either. And going by the helmets alone, because we couldn't see the front wheels, Bjarne was just ahead of Nicki, so another good call, imo.

Congratulations to creetingblue and Heathcote who took a chance on both Adams and Nicholls making the Final, and both managed it for the first time this year ! Leaders, Cougar Pirate and World Champion woody-the-bee placed exactly the same successful bets, and remain at the top of the chart after picking-up 20,000 more Credits. The three big loser's this time...Shale Eater lost 8,000 on Greg and Bjarne, but stays in the race. Unlike Boardrider and Andrew who lost all of their remaining Credits and have dropped out of the championship. Better luck next year !

Quality performance from referee Milan Spinka last night... Not interested in the World Cup to be honest, but watched most of the meeting last night in a pub. May have missed the odd race, but the two major decisions I saw that he had to make - Andersen/Harris and McGowan/Lindback - he got both spot-on. Hans went steaming-in with no care for what happened to his opponent, so he deserved to be excluded, despite there being no contact between the two. As for Travis - what exactly caused him too jump off ?! - certainly not Lindback, so another good call. Pleased Denmark won, because they are by far the best nation in the sport. Even with Jesper missing. Of the losers... Sweden came back well for 2nd, thanks mainly to AJ's love of Smallmead obviously. GB did okay for 3rd, despite Chris Louis's embarrassing performance after his words regarding not being picked previously Australia lost out bigtime thanks to Crumpy's desperate move, but you can't blame him for trying. Well I can't anyway. Track had so little grip on the outside that the racing was poor, but the incidents and scoreline kept the general interest high, so it made for good TV.
