  1. Peter Johns is based in Stockton, with his PJ Racing setup...but I'm pretty sure he wasn't behind PJ Frames. He's always been focussed on heads, valves and engines, rather than frames. But then I don't know who was, so I'll stand corrected if mistaken.
  2. Sorry mate, not this time (although I can guarantee Hans got plenty of maximums in the years you're after.) Rob Peasley will should have records of Hans' time at Oxford. Send him a 'pm'. You should try the same with Gambo for the Cov stats. Good luck Let me know if ya fall short Kevin, and I'll see what I can do
  3. It might have something to do with the fact that the WRC soaks up £65m in annual sponsorship Plus, as it was the first event of it's kind, they were desperate to get a half-decent crowd in...which they didn't really manage btw...so they HAD to keep the prices down.
  4. Yes, an endless GP budget is all-important it seems. It would be nice if it wasn't like that...but it is. No doubt, TRick's fans are hoping that the bulk of his budget came from a 'clean' source. We shall see.
  5. You shouldn't have messed about for the last 2 rounds then should ya Jilly ?! Top 16 seems the obvious one to go for, to stay in-line with the 'lesser' GP competition. It's also 2000 Credits and more. Next year will see everyone start with 200 Credits, by the way...in the hope of hanging on to a few players a bit longer next time
  6. That's what it will be Matt, Top 16. Aren't you the lucky one
  7. I can only see them dropping Sullivan and Chrzanowski. To be replaced by Zagar, definitely, and either Kasprzak or Bjerre.
  8. Panthersfan...1 point left, means you're out You couldn't have continued...so that was the end for you ! Cheat !
  9. Yeah, it'll add a bit of pressure putting a world ranking in the game Drakey, you only really had one bad GP...excellent season, despite that. Woody was the only player to improve his score in every single GP...London Witch was closest to matching that feat, with only the first GP seeing her drop points. Three of the Top 10 (smiles, Subedei and James) picked all-time favourite Rickardsson just once...German Speedway Fan, in 18th, never picked him at all ! I don't really know why, but I found two players whose betting stood out to me... don't ask ...it was just the way they tried to play the game. So thankyou Jimmy Smith and PsychoGirl
  10. Yeah, I had Greg and Leigh...ending up with 74,058. But it wasn't about me was it. Well done to everyone who enjoyed the game Fair play if someone comes up with a different game idea for next year, but if not, I'd be happy to stage another battle
  11. Cheers Cowboy... The big winner's in this GP are pretty obvious really... woody-the-champ scored 25,000... drakey got 23,400... smiles gained 14,055... Subedei added 9,430... and Shale Eater scored 6,800 The biggest loser's in this final round, were Ruby Tuesday 2,150... pirate paul 1,620... jimmy smith 1,600... Silver Cheetah 1,460... and f-s-p 1,100 It was the first and only GP of the year where the four 'favourite' riders all made the Final. But obviously many of you took a bigger gamble to try and gain loads of points...for some it worked, anyway
  12. Congratulations to woody-the-bee on becoming the 2005 Forum Grand Prix Champion ! It's second place for Drakey, our long-time leader, and joining them on the internet rostrum...Smiles 1st ~ woody-the-bee ~ 33000 pts 2nd ~ drakey ~ 32000 pts 3rd ~ smiles ~ 20001 pts 4th ~ Subedei ~ 15240 pts 5th ~ Shale Eater ~ 9000 pts 6th ~ tomazpozrl ~ 8555 pts 7th ~ Phil ~ 8330 pts 8th ~ Timbo ~ 8324 pts 9th ~ London Witch ~ 8000 pts 10th ~ James ~ 4500 pts 11th ~ Witches Vs Hammers ~ 3600 pts 12nd ~ Mark Evans ~ 2916 pts 13th ~ beercellar ~ 2492 pts 14th ~ diamonds_are_forever ~ 2300 pts 15th ~ Matt Davis ~ 2230 pts 16th ~ skitts61 ~ 2000 pts 17th ~ KevtheRev ~ 1762 pts =18th ~ jill ~ 1530 pts =18th ~ German Speedway Fan ~ 1530 pts 20th ~ Gaz W ~ 1150 pts 21st ~ Dark Horse ~ 900 pts 22nd ~ shirls ~ 794 pts 23rd ~ BritPete ~ 690 pts 24th ~ cov_bees_2005 ~ 515 pts 25th ~ f-s-p ~ 500 pts 26th ~ Laser558 ~ 400 pts 27th ~ big rob ~ 336 pts 28th ~ Jo_1515 ~ 332 pts 29th ~ tomhaines ~ 319 pts 30th ~ Robbo ~ 280 pts 31st ~ Sir Lunchalot ~ 240 pts 32nd ~ darrenaces ~ 229 pts 33rd ~ Tabby3 ~ 197 pts 34th ~ Creamer ~ 126 pts 35th ~ wimbledonwomble ~ 124 pts 36th ~ sportsnut ~ 120 pts 37th ~ Addy ~ 95 pts 38th ~ smillie ~ 89 pts 39th ~ Tina ~ 81 pts 40th ~ Dicey ~ 79 pts 41st ~ Jim Blanchard ~ 58 pts 42nd ~ Oil Man ~ 55 pts 43rd ~ Robbobee ~ 28 pts 44th ~ rami ~ 26 pts 45th ~ yellowspanner ~ 21 pts 46th ~ beesboybert ~ 11 pts 47th ~ cleggy621 ~ 10 pts =48th ~ Cornishman ~ 9 pts =48th ~ Jurek ~ 9 pts 50th ~ Aussie ~ 8 pts 51st ~ Niels#1 ~ 6 pts 52nd ~ The Concrete Cowboy ~ 4 pts =53rd ~ Col ~ 2 pts =53rd ~ ballinger ~ 2 pts Out of the game, due to running out of Credits were... panthersfan, Shnikies, squeeky, Ruby Tuesday, pirate paul, jimmy smith, Silver Cheetah, Star Lady, creetingblue, Cougar Pirate, Shale Eater's girlfriend, Crazy Munchie, born_2b_mad, steve jones, Redflags, Papa Bazarou, micky76, Electro, pug/206, vog, Daryl, Kevin Hammond, B52, Bezza, SuperSwindon, Chris, PsychoGirl, ZKZ Kitten, full-throttle, Jay, Charles, Ozyace, klone, SCB, sjw, scottymelloty, chivs, garf, Joester, the bolton wonderer and Rico Thanks for playing along, it's been fun...see you in April !!
  13. You certainly have some unusual opinions, Subedei When you consider they had 40mm of rain in 2 hours on the track...they've done a good job on it...and most of the rider's are going-for-it. Suits most fans I'd have thought.
  14. Who cares what the track looks like ? It never looks good at Lonigo, but it rides well...and that's what counts !
  15. Good decision ref...sadly that was Scotty's fault...but didn't AJ take it well ?
  16. Are Sky covering it now then (I don't have Sky Sports) ? We're on Heat 4 Shawn
  17. Heat 1, Great move from Stefan Andersson...certainly surprised Nicki ! Could be a few surprises on this track ! Heat 2, Super-smooth Chrzanowski !!
  18. Don't panic, they've only just finished the parade anyway...
  19. Yeah, I'm expecting a big finish from Greg too...although he has the worst draw, at number 10. Bjarne has the best draw, with Scotty getting the next best. Looking forward to the track cutting-up a bit and making them all work for their points...should be a good meetin' Still think they should've got The Great Armando in the line-up though...and I don't mean at reserve !
  20. So it's Round 9, the final Grand Prix of the 2005 season...and the title is still up for grabs, in this competition anyway ! There's little point holding back on your bets this time... ...so go for it !! These are the fixed points for the 9th and final GP, from Lonigo in Northern Italy tonight. Please make sure you've read and understood the Rules of the game, posted elsewhere. Any new, very late entries to the game, joining in for the last round, get to start with 43 Credits. 21. No great surprise in the fact that nobody went for Lee Richardson. He was on 10 points, so plenty of credits could have been won...but clearly nobody was THAT crazy More surprisingly, only one player went for Greg Hancock...stand up and take a bow, Niels#1 ! However, as Niels#1 only had 2 Credits to play with...he didn't gain many places
