It was used as a training track quite a bit. That would have been '79 and '80 I think. I vaguely remember (I was young!) Peter Collins getting on the rostrum for a longtrack meeting there, but he didn't win it. Could have been Phil Crump ?! You'll need someone much older than me for more detail, sorry. Although I now remember it being boiling hot ! I wouldn't know if it was the only meeting there either...but I know I went there for that meeting and once when we tagged along with Peter Prinsloo on a training session with a couple of young Danes.

The big scorer's this time... woody-the-bee scored 2800 pts while strangely Cornishman, drakey and Mark Evans all scored 1800 pts ! James got 1200 pts and f-s-p got 750 pts Cornishman only gambled 200 on each of his bets, from his 1310 pts. 600 on each Corny...and you'd now be leading Phil was another who lacked conviction ! 20 players saw both of their rider's make the Final... while only 8 saw both miss out. I'd have had Peter Karlsson as the wildcard, but then I'd have had Lindgren at the Swedish GP earlier in the year (when he was flyin' !). Jonas D is a fair choice to spend the night in the pits, but it really should have been Lindgren given the other slot. Peter Ljung doesn't take speedway seriously...so it's a wasted experience. No way Subedei...I'm shocked that you're wanting to change the very fabric of the game just 'cause we've got a big leader ! Don't worry, the odds for the next GP will take into account the dominance of TRick without ruling him out of the betting. Unlike the GP leader's situaton...the leader of this game could see it disappear in one round, but it's still a deserved lead because he's been the best at playing the game. So far. Is the pressure building Drakey ?

Recommendation...the 'Blue Ducking' for a top quality meal ...although being a Rotherham man, I expect chips 'n' lard wi' a bit o' gravy is what you'll be looking for ! Warning...Phil - do NOT go to 'Drake's Club'...you really won't like it mate
