Nicki being ruled out might hand the highly overrated Witches side a win tonight. This is going to be a huge problem for us all season with an injury prone top two.
-
Basso putting Doyle to the sword on night 1 of our 2023 campaign. Picking up right where he left off in 2022.
-
Good racing after Ht 1. Basso was brilliant in Ht 3 to pass King.
-
Heart in mouth time here already. We cannot afford to keep producing poorly prepared tracks especially when our top two are injury prone.

#PurplePower Come on you Panthers!

First bets of the season. BELLE VUE v SHEFFIELD Dan Bewley Over 11 @ 4/6 (Exactly what @Heathcote said) Jaimon Lidsey Over 7 @ 29/20 (I think he's being underrated a bit around his home track so I'm happy to take a chance considering the price) PETERBOROUGH v IPSWICH Emil Sayfutdinov Over 10 @ 5/6 (Emil has done a few warm up meetings and he's hit the ground running, Shoe in for Heat 15 imo) Keynan Rew +1 v Hans Andersen @ 11/8 (This is the value bet of the night imo, Hans hasn't done any warm up meetings so he could be a bit rusty, Hans could easily find himself on 1 point from his first two rides imo, Riding in Heat 1 with Nicki Pedersen v Jason Doyle and Erik Riss followed by a programmed ride in Heat 6 that also features Nicki Pedersen and Emil Sayfutdinov)

Helps a lot that Nicki P & Basso are competing in a meeting at Bydgoszcz today. Advantage back in Peterborough's favour if the Bydgoszcz meeting goes ahead.
-
Ipswich to win this one for the same reason why I predicted Peterborough to win at Ipswich (Catching the opposition cold) the boot is now on the other foot. Nicki P, Andersen, Basso, B. Cook & Jenkins haven't had any warm up meetings to blow away the cobwebs while Emil, King, Riss & Hume have.
-
New race suits look great, Holder is just jelly that he won't be allowed to race in one around the Showground next season. Here's to a great 2023.
-
Craig Cook is an easy deal to do if Hans cant find another mechanic before Thursday.
-
Young Brits always seem to be the fall guys when it comes to team changes.
-
I hope Ipswich stick with Hume throughout the season rather than sacking him mid-season considering he won't be able to carry Joe Thompson. Big drop off from Jack Thomas and it goes to show that Chris Louis won't be signing riders with attitude problems even if they are a better rider (Kemp & Rowe)

Ipswich vs Peterborough 23rd march
TTT replied to Gasser90's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not being biased, I fancy us to catch the Witches cold here, I would've predicted Ipswich to win if the meeting was taking place a few weeks into the season though. Emil & Rew will be riding the track for the first time in a competitive meeting, It'll be Emil's first match back from a seasons ban while the other is returning from a recent injury so they may not score as highly, With Ipswich' reserves it's a team built where the 1-5 has to fire on all cylinders. As for Peterborough both Andersen & Worrall go well around Ipswich, Basso likes the place too going on his showings last season, If Ben Cook can score a few then I fancy a narrow win. Ipswich 44 - 46 Panthers -
1. REDCAR (Shanes was the only weak link, He's gone now so Redcar now moves up into first position in my rankings) 2. POOLE (Whoever replaces Thomas will be decent enough, Another strong campaign in store) 3. GLASGOW (Strong side but they're a tiny bit behind Redcar and Poole imo) 4. SCUNTHORPE (Strong from top to bottom) 5. PLYMOUTH (My biggest downgrade after initally placing them very highly, Jake Turner could easily be George Congreve 2.0 and the 2.00 pointer won't do much imo) 6. EDINBURGH (All about Craig Cook, If Cookie rediscovers some of his old form then Edinburgh will be the dark horses imo) 7. OXFORD (Tail is too long to make the play-offs imo) 8. BERWICK (Toothless at reserve) 9. BIRMINGHAM (Nothing positive to say unfortunately, It's a team of reserves + Sedgmen & Morris)

Best wishes go out to Jack. Riders really do end up with the worst injuries when riding the Scunthorpe circuit.

Predictions for Prem 2023 as teams stand ...

Unlikely, Doyle's got proper competition in Britain for a change.
-
Best keep the wheelie bins out of Doyle's sight on March 27th considering he'll be racing against Nicki P three times.
-
Same here. I really don't care about a riders personality because personality doesn't = points.
-
Roll on March 27th.
-
Certainly makes us stronger on the road, Personally I would've opted for Nicki over Holder from the get go. Tungate is mustard around Peterborough though so it's a tough loss to take if I'm being totally honest.
-
I'm confident that we'll make play-offs because we're certainly better than Leicester, KL & Wolves, We just need the one mid-season change to give us a strong chance in the play-offs imo. Nicki P has been training hard in Dubai this winter so he's not over here just for an easy pay day. It was looking bleak at one stage with NKI at 1 along with Worrall & Andersen which would've made us favourites for the wooden spoon but we've managed to come up smelling of roses after the long team building process.
-
If the PZM were so against Emil then he wouldn't even be riding in the Ekstraliga next season let alone Britain, The fact that the PZM have been backing down gradually tells you everything you need to know. Anyone would think Emil has walked into Donbass with a Kalashnikov by the amount of hate he's received, He's personally done nothing wrong and he's just a Speedway rider who wants to live his dream.
-
Nicki confirming himself is the most Nicki Pedersen thing ever.
-
They are lying. I follow all of the riders on Twitter and I remember Emil posting a handshake image where one hand was painted in a Russian flag and the other hand in a Ukrainian flag with the caption about peace no war.
