I don't like Buster at all but I don't want to see British Speedway lose anymore clubs. The sport in this country is in a bad enough state as it is, I hope everything works out well for KL in the end.
-
It is his fault though, KL wouldn't be in financial bother if Buster just let Tomalin complete the Holder deal, KL's future being plunged into doubt is mostly based around the Holder fiasco at Tomalin when you look at the bigger picture. Tomalin would have covered the finances at Peterborough therefore Buster would only be paying for KL riders instead of 14 KL & Pboro riders. KL wouldn't be in the alarming mess they're in because Buster would've just made two changes to get the team back within his price range after Brady bailed and it would've been business as usual. Now Buster has been left paying for 14 riders that he simply can't afford due to falling out with Tomalin, Buster now needs Tomalin to save his ass.

You can't put out mid table Championship teams at Premiership level and expect the fans to turn out in numbers just to see an uncompetitive team go 20-10 or 21-9 down after 6 heats almost every week. Especially in these times when mortgages, household bills etc. are sky rocketing, You need to give the fans a reason to turn up, Come and watch our understrength team get battered isn't going to wash unless you want to reduce admission costs to £10 an Adult and kids for a £1, Fans may turn up then just for a night out. But they won't be rushing to get in at £22+ other expenses per night to see the opposition cruise to 4-2's and 5-1's in almost every heat.

I still stick to what I said on night one. Brady and Buster have had a falling out, I think the family reasons is just a polite way of not airing the dirty laundry out in public. It really is simple, You don't sign a world class very expensive talent like Laguta when you're planning to call it a day with a couple of weeks knowing full well that the owner (Buster) would be left in a position where he doesn't have financial resources to cover the overall costs. Buster would never have agreed to let Brady sign Laguta if he knew that Brady was planning to walk either because it's not how he operates.
-
Only logical thing. I watched the BSN stream last night on my season pass and theirs no way KL can afford Laguta with those attendances. You need deeper pockets than ever before in this game now and Buster doesn't have the resources for this day and age, Budget teams that are way below the points limit getting battered by 20+ every week will only turn more people away.
-
Something defo happened between Brady and Buster imo, I'm still not buying the family reasons idea. Why would Brady sign a world class expensive rider when he's already planning to step down and leave the owner with a bill he can't afford to pay. Brady also said that he's left the club in a healthy financial state which he clearly hasn't...........Something's very off here.
-
Artem should've been released as soon as Brady stepped down. Buster wouldn't even sign Tungate for Peterborough due to financial reasons therefore he was never going to have the resources to pay for Laguta without the clubs future being plunged into further doubt.
-
Buster has only got himself to blame. Buster has fallen out with so many people and now it's become one too many that's left him in the mud, Would've had the finances covered at Peterborough via Tomalin if he didn't let personal grudges get in the way of business. You have to remain professional when it comes to business otherwise things will fall apart at a rapid pace.
-
Just think, If Buster allowed Tomalin to have Holder then Tomalin would've covered the finances at Peterborough with his cash injection. Brady bailed and left Buster high and dry, Tomalin refused to pay up after being turned over and now Buster is toast with nowhere to run. Logical solution. Buster hands the club over to Tomalin this week, Carl will re-join under Tomalin no doubt about it. Buster can focus on KL and give Laguta his P45 and get a budget replacement in just to ensure the club survives with a plan to run at Championship level in 2024.
-
That's KL done for, Alex bailing out was the final straw for them. Please do the honourable thing and walk away now Buster...........I know for sure that you or at least some people around you read this forum, Don't drag everyone down with you. Tomalin can save the club, Just hand it over for a free a put the club first.
-
Inevitable. Panthers will soon follow if Buster doesn't go ASAP! Then Wolves will be toast too.
-
Because he can't cope when it comes to running two clubs at once, KL and Pboro can't even be competitive for the first 4 Heats let alone the full 15. Buster can save more than 20k if he gave the club away as he wouldn't have to pay the wages for Peterborough's 1-7 anymore which would be of interest to him imo.
-
If Buster truly cared about the club and it's fans then he'd hand the club over to Tomalin free of charge with immediate effect, Buster isn't fit to run a speedway club in 2023 and almost everyone has had enough of him. I'm surprised Rob Lyon has stuck around this long tbh.
-
Should do considering none of the riders deserve it.
-
Laguta really doesn't care about KL, Awful business by Alex Brady in all honesty, Artem literally gave up towards the end of the meeting. Klindt really didn't like the track from the get go. Credit to TJ and Lambert for trying to put up a fight.

Leicester vs Peterborough 06/07/23 PREMIERSHIP R2

Another joke of a night for Peterborough and KL. Buster isn't fit to run a Speedway club in 2023. -
I think a lot of bets look good tonight. KING'S LYNN vs. SHEFFIELD N. KLINDT OVER 8 (Bang in form and a shoe in to get 5 rides imo) J. HOLDER OVER 10 (Unbeaten by an opponent around KL in both meetings so far this season) J. PICKERING OVER 8 (Power scorer around KL) T. MUSIELAK OVER 9 (Always goes well around KL and it's one of his favourite tracks to ride) IPSWICH vs. WOLVERHAMPTON R. SCHLEIN OVER 5 (Track specialist and scored 8 from 4 earlier this season around Foxhall) S. NICHOLLS +1 vs. D. King (Scott always rides Foxhall well, King is flaky) Z. COOK -1 vs. Hume (Z. Cook is in a good run of form and he put up double figures around Foxhall earlier this season) EDIT The bets that I've chosen to back out of the above are Klindt and Musielak on the overs as well as Schlein on the overs and Cook-1 vs. Hume. Good luck all.

Agree. Could even make a case to put him at 5 tbh. -
Sheffield v Peterborough Monday 3rd July
TTT replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Another one for Speedway shambles. Sport in this country will finally be dead within the next couple of years. -
Andy's excuses on Radio Cambridgeshire during the interval are hilarious. The other guy isn't having any of it.
-
The bet should come in tbh considering Sheffield are far superior. Good luck
-
Nothing stands out tonight. I'm reluctant to take the big handicap on Sheffield purely because of Owlerton being a gaters paradise this season with limited passing. I'll sit this one out, Good luck to those who are having a bet though.
-
Richie Worrall around Leicester is the equivalent of Andreas Jonsson around Lakeside back in the day. What could've been if we had Vadim but Ben Cook done well so credit to him as well.
-
Well done Panthers.
