  1. Think Klindt's point is that fans don't know what kind of team they're paying to see whether it's a strong team that can compete or a poor budget one that isn't competitive. Fans get a strong idea of what they're paying for at a Football club due to teams having a squad in place to begin with as well as a board who've got certain expectations for their club whether it's a title challenge, top 4 challenge or to fight for survival in a relegation battle. With Speedway every team builds a 1-7 from scratch every year due to the points limit, rider availability etc. so fans don't know who they're paying for (Essentially going in blind and hoping that the team is good enough to be in the mix) Obviously those who have bought a season ticket already are fans who'd go regardless like Crump99 said but there is a portion of the fan base who are still waiting to see what kind of team takes to the track first before handing over £.
  2. Hopefully this is the last day before the final two are revealed.
  3. Knowing how much of a mess it's been this winter, Wouldn't it be funny if Peterborough announced Holder as well as Tomalin takeover on Thursday
  4. I was sure it was Nicki P but Mick Bratley would 1 Million percent know for sure who the No.1 is so I'm not going to doubt him at all. Artem Laguta to Peterborough rumours are starting to gather some pace on a couple of Speedway related facebook pages over the last 24 hours. I must admit that it's a coincidence how Ipswich & Peterborough's team building has suffered delay after delay and now both clubs are on the verge of confirming a 1-7 in the same timeframe.
  5. Emil has to go through the same exam apparently. Żużel. PZM mógłby zrobić na złość Rosjanom i wykluczyć ich z przygotowań do sezonu - Sport WP SportoweFakty (sportowefakty-wp-pl.translate.goog)
  6. Busters not perfect, Nobody is but it was obvious from Day 1 that Holder was never going to be at Peterborough if Buster was still here. Like Bagpuss has just said, Despite the situation looking bad I think we've had a lucky escape. Nicki Pedersen at 1 imo (I'll stick with what I've been told and it's the most likely route imo) but I wouldn't be shocked if Artem Laguta turns out to be our No.1 because if Emil is allowed to ride then Artem would be allowed too. I can see a scenario where Artem and Emil would be cheaper than usual as they'll lower financial demands just for the extra track time imo because they'll need to get up to speed again with as much competitive racing as possible considering one Polish fixture per week isn't enough for any rider (Sweden are still banning them from competing in the Bahaus-Ligan regardless of licenses, passports, citizenship etc.)
  7. I always wondered why they done that. Pretty sure they refer or at least did refer to Artem Laguta as Artiom Laguta as well.
  8. Batchelor will be forced into retirement soon if he keeps on burning bridges. Belle Vue won't sign him after he turned them over last season which led to them signing Allen & Etheridge in the 1-5. Ipswich have got shot of him after 1 year which speaks volumes. Buster won't sign him again. Can't ride Sheffield for toffee and the fans booed him every week. CVS doesn't like to make drastic changes at Wolves and he'll always retain as many riders as he can from the previous season / seasons. Holder has burnt his bridges with the club after the race suit reveal imo, Still think Tungate ends up at Peterborough at some point next season if Tomalin completes a takeover.
  9. Emil was assessed on a 8.00 when he rode for Coventry in 2011. Just wondered whether it would've changed due to him not riding in the GP's anymore.
  10. Does anyone know what averages Emil & Laguta would come in on?
  11. Well done to Louis and team. Every top rider who rides over here can only help the league as a whole out.
  12. We should sign Artem Laguta. He should want extra track time surely?
  13. Last 24 hours. Holder taking revenge on Instagram by spoiling the race suits. Riders taking the p155 out of us on Instagram about how close they were to being in. Polish press reporting on how unprofessional we've been over the Holder situation. Social media backlash on all platforms (Buster needs to explain his version of events just to take the heat off of the club) Frustrated fan base that's reached boiling point.
  14. This line aged well didn't it lol. “I have a terrific relationship with Buster (Keith Chapman – club owner), Dale (Allitt) and Carl, and I’m sure we will work well as one team building a future for the Peterborough Panthers!
  15. I did say the silence was deafening a couple of weeks ago so all of this unfolding isn't such a shock to me tbh, I see the Polish press are reporting on the Holder situation now. I'm just worried about potential cracks in our management with everyone not being on the same page as we've got much bigger issues to sort out like the clubs long term future and stuff. The saying no news is good news doesn't apply to us now because it's all a bit too messy now and it's starting to make us look bad in the media.
  16. I think it's this. 1. Holder agreed to ride under Tomalin's ownership where all parties including Buster expected a takeover to be completed. 2. Expected takeover hasn't happened and won't happen before the season starts. 3. Buster knowing he's going to be here at the start of the season for certain has blocked the deal for Holder and hasn't even bothered to inform him because he straight up doesn't like the bloke after the 2017 shambles. 4. In the end either Michael, Carl or Dale have had to be Busters fall guy to make a phone call to Holder to inform him that he's out, Then Holder's got even by releasing the new race suits on Instagram.
  17. So true, The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing this winter.
