Wolves v Sheffield LC 4th April 2022
TTT replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Steve Worrall riding at No.5 with weak reserves is a baffling decision by Pete Adams. Basically cost Wolves the meeting. -

Basso is a superstar. What we really need to worry about is our 3 & 4 pairing on highly inflated averages due to a spell at reserve in 2021. -

Track looks brilliant. Let's kick off our campaign with a win. -
Danny King Over 8 Scott Nicholls Under 9 Danny King off scratch vs. Chris Harris Tobiasz Musielak Over 7 Drew Kemp +1 vs. Stefan Nielsen Luke Becker off scratch vs. Craig Cook.
-
Brady Kurtz was the rider.

Wouldn't worry about tonight's score. Riders just use these meetings to try out different set ups / equipment. Basically a football friendly where football managers don't really care about the result and they just use the match to try out different players / formations.

28.03. Aces v Tigers - Northern League Cup
TTT replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As a Panthers fan I've heard that story from management before when we were in the same position (Aaron Summers) ended up staying the whole season and it was a disaster. Allen's being branded as short term in the HOPE somebody better asks for a job that fits within the budget, Belle Vue would've signed a better rider if they actually had one lined-up as they had enough time. Taking wild swings at Woffinden who only wanted to turn up when he felt like it or taking a gamble on Bewley knowing Poland could flex their muscles whenever they feel like it screams desperation because they couldn't find anyone else willing to turn up 24/7 who was capable of doing a job as a HL. -

Waiting for your side to go 2 points up against a heavily weakened Sheffield before typing a reply. We shall see what the season brings but let's be honest Belle Vue fans are the ones who were being negative towards their own side when I was bigging them up earlier looking at the positives. Everyone is entitled to give an early season prediction -

Tbf I was the only one bigging them up by looking at the positives. Might be able to sneak a win if Sheffield's reserves continue to struggle but overall it still doesn't look good considering Sheffield are missing two engine room riders tonight. -

I gave Belle Vue the benefit of the doubt earlier by looking at the positive side of things but I was wrong, Belle Vue are just as woeful as many have said on here. Nailed on for the wooden spoon already if tonight is anything to go by. -
Ben Morley could produce the same amount of points as Josh Auty based on Josh's form last week.

Wolves v Brummies (Past & Present) 28th March 2022
TTT replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pathetic from Josh Auty tbh and he may as well quit the sport considering he's not prepared for the season at all. How can you not have enough machinery after 2 days. -
Auty being an amateur by not preparing for the season again. He won't last long at Brum.

R/R for Cook (COVID) and R. Worrall in for Musielak. Sheffield set for a drumming tonight. -
2022 PREMIERSHIP Predict the finishing order

EDIT: Nothing to see here -
Spot on imo, Ben is the difference between us finishing in the top 2 or bottom 2 imo.

I honestly think Belle Vue are underrated this year. Allen is not a 4.80 rider imo and he's on that average due to 1 poor season where he didn't prepare right due to him going back and forth whether to race in the UK during the pandemic. Tom Brennan is only going to improve and he's by far the best rising star in the league imo, Proper No.1 in Max Fricke with solid backup from Brady Kurtz. Jye Etheridge is the only worry in your side imo. As for Sheffield they're very overrated having time to reflect on things imo, Weak at reserve and Nielsen is injury prone. Craig Cook is on a downward spiral as well. -
Well done Tofty.
-
It will have a knock on affect and the whole league will collapse soon tbh, The Sport will be done in this country when Buster calls it a day imo. Poole are on the clock as well as us.
-
Surely Buster will let us share KL's stadium after this season.
-
Does sound like it going by Jye's comments in the press release, Surely somebody would've told Jye that he's going to start in the 1-5 even if he didn't already know that himself.
-
Interesting comments from Jye in the press release. “My main aim is to put a few more points on my average to get into the main body of the team and hopefully stay there
-
Teams struggling to find riders and now Plymouth will be in the same boat. The whole league structure needs a rethink and clubs like Poole shouldn't be allowed to sign 3 x No.1's imo as it's leading to a very unbalanced league.
