  1. Good luck to Ulle & he was a good racer around ashfield & top bloke. Thats the first of the 3 riders I've said that wont be back at Glasgow next season.
  2. Scunthorpe, Birmingham & possibly Berwick are on risky roads & with Poole moving back up the league will look wafer thin.
  3. A possibility with starke on his average but I think next season we will lose a few more clubs so there will be a good chunk of riders available & I would start will Josh Pickering. Ulle oyster-card, Broken nicol & Danyon at home won’t be returning so a few posts available.
  4. Simply appalling performance from Glasgow & really have next to no chance in the return leg now. Glasgow still stuck at ground zero. Fair play Poole & they would of been well fired up after Sundays farce but it didn’t need anymore spice as Poole are already a monster at home.
  5. Another dejected season it looks like yet again for Glasgow & the score at Poole was simply appalling & it has to be the end now for the manager but I wouldn’t hold my breath. They won’t move up as the race night would have to change & it’s too expensive also so the same old next year I suspect.
  6. Sad day for all the Swindon fans after being strung along for years & I’m afraid I don’t see the robins returning elsewhere now. Really worrying times for British Speedway with Edinburgh gone also & a few more clubs on life support for 2023.
  7. Absolute non starter & that’s the end of the Monarchs now I’m afraid.
  8. Strong possibility that’s the end of the monarchs now. They had a very good inning’s & ran a shrewd operation over the years on sometimes a wafer thin budget & delivered silverware to the fans. The derbies with Glasgow over the years have been fantastic & they will be a massive loss to not just Glasgow speedway but British speedway.
  9. Anyone got any thoughts regarding racing on a Sunday night at 6pm & not the traditional Friday night. After 7 weeks of no home fixtures with mostly mild weather, how can they still expect a decent crowd for such an important fixture against a strong opponent like Poole (likely) Giving 1 weeks notice isn’t ideal also & the interest from the occasional fan I suspect has already waned after such a length of time of inactivity. Seems like every year fixtures drag into October when the weather isn’t the best when the season should be wrapped up before September. Poor show all round.
  10. I echo the gripes of the fans waiting weeks for a home fixture never mind an away day. Every year this happens & there’s a back log of fixtures which run into October when the weather is poor after going weeks throughout the season with no fixtures. This is not fan friendly & surely someone in power must address this.Maybe next year we will start around the Easter bank holiday w/end & put a fixture on but I wouldn’t bet on it.
