OK, it's not £31, but you can currently get flights to Tenerife from Gatwick for a £40 round trip. Hardly breaking the bank.

When are they going to race in the Prem then? Because they can't do Mondays and Thursdays! https://oxford-stadium.co.uk/greyhound-news/2024-greyhound-racing-schedule-confirmed-plus-saturday-nights-are-back-from-november-18/

Can’t see Premiership at Oxford next year. They announced the 2024 greyhound calendar the other day and they have meetings every Monday (evenings) and Thursday (afternoons).
-
It's Mondays that are the problem for Oxford. They have an SIS deal which requires a greyhound meeting every Monday. Possible they could race away on Mondays and home on Thursdays?

Leicester vs Oxford - NDL - 23/09

Perhaps somebody that's paid to do it might be more willing? Just a thought. -
The track wasn't too bad. Perry crashed in heat 12 (I'm not sure the track was to blame) and then there was a 45-min (ish) wait for him to get treatment. It was during this time that the heavens opened and the conditions became pretty bad. In other words, the track was okay for the first 11 heats, but wouldn't have been by the time they were able to continue, so can't see why they would have called it off after heat 10. Hope Perry makes a swift recovery.

It’s now officially a one-legged winner takes all final at Oxford tomorrow. If that’s rained off, it goes on league positions. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/ndl/ndl-grand-final-ko-cup-final-update/

Peter Schroeck basically confirmed Nicholls and Masters will be back next season in this week’s Speedway Star. ”We have an arrangement with Scott that he will be with us until he decides to retire and Sam is an out-and-out No.1. It is no reflection on what Lewi has done for us as he has done more than enough to warrant a place, but unfortunately someone had to come out of the equation to make the numbers work”

The 2022 season doesn’t finish until Wednesday (hopefully).

It's okay. They've got the Jubilee Final on Wednesday. -
Duplicate post - sorry

You would think Leicester would've learned their lesson from last year. Although there surely must be a reason they hardly staged any meetings towards the end of the season.

Teams announced for Saturday... Chargers: Jordan Jenkins, Ryan Kinsley, Jody Scott, Luke Killeen, Henry Atkins, Jacob Clouting, Jason Garrad. Lion Cubs: Dan Thompson, Ashton Boughen, Max Perry, Tom Spencer, Ben Morley (G), Vinnie Foord, Max James.

The first leg of the playoff final has been postponed tonight.

From six riders. He had one good race where he beat Masters (in which Masters was severely hampered by Hume), otherwise he only beat Atkins and Boughen (bar a Jenkins exclusion in heat 15). Scored 5+1 when visiting with Berwick and 6 when guesting for Oxford against Redcar. Not exactly what you'd hope for from a heat leader, he just doesn't seem to like the track very much.
-
What's Flint going to Redcar got to do with Oxford? Or have I missed something? Not complaining - just confused! Edit: I've got it, I think. You mean Flint would be a good signing for Oxford, if he doesn't go to Redcar? If so, I'm not sure, Flint as always struggled a bit at Sandy Lane.
-
I'm guessing he means Kerr.

Repeat post - sorry.

Thoughts on the Oxford team for 2024? Ashton Boughen has already confirmed he will be racing for Oxford next year, and Peter Schroeck seemed to suggest Luke Killeen would be back in 2024 after being dropped for Boughen this season. Seems like they've got a lot invested in Henry Atkins and Jordan Jenkins as well, so can't see either of them leaving. It's the top end of the team that's more uncertain. Lewis Kerr won't be coming back, could Scott Nicholls retire, and will Sam Masters still race in the Championship with the (rumoured) lower points limit? I'd be surprised if Heeps is back, but also said that last year.

To quote the Norwegian dude after they beat England 2-1... It is unbelievable! Glasgow have beaten Poole! Poole - the home of giants. Skidder. lisa-colette. lbw. foreverblue. Arthur54. Glasgow has beaten them all! Steve Shovlar can you hear me? Glasgow have a message for you. Glasgow have beaten Poole in the playoffs. Steve Shovlar, as they say in your language in the boxing bars around Madison Square Garden in New York: "Your boys took a hell of a beating!" Your boys took a hell of a beating!
