  1. I'm not near the track, but looking at the weather radar that bank of rain should mainly clear Oxford to the north. It looks pretty clear over the track from 6pm onwards..... not that you can ever put your faith in that.
  2. Dan Thompson was pretty hot around Oxford last year, but Joe Thompson was a bit hit and miss. Guess Ryan Kinsley is the wildcard with how he performs. If he can get close to repeating Stoneman's form at this level, then Oxford should win I think. If he struggles, can see Leicester sneaking it. Either way, should be a cracking meeting if the weather stays clear.
  3. Couldn't agree more, but have a feeling this didn't happen because the Championship clubs running lower league teams said they would pull out of the bottom tier if it was 2 home and 2 away. I'm sure I read that somewhere in the past. The clubs that get to the final of the BSN Series would have to race a total of 5 home fixtures in that competition anyway, so they would only have to find an extra 3 free race nights throughout the season to accommodate a switch to 2 home and 2 away instead. Surely it would better to guarantee a fixed number of home fixtures for EVERY team, rather than having a couple racing in more than some others? A quick look at Oxford's fixture list and they have a few empty Wednesdays (31st May, 28th June, 9th August, 30th August) even with Chargers fixtures taking place.
  4. Lawson is a decent replacement for Basso, but Starke is no Vissing around Glasgow (or anywhere else for that matter). Plus Oxford would have been a bit stronger with Wright in for Kerr. Glasgow would probably have still won to be fair, but I think even the Glasgow fans should agree it would be an easier task with Basso and Vissing, and Kerr instead of Wright for Oxford.
  5. Without Basso and Vissing, that's probably what they'd have to do yesterday as well. So yeah, good job it was called off early I guess.
  6. I've previously moaned about having to pay more on the day at Oxford, but have since learned it's to encourage people to book tickets ahead of time so the promotion have an idea of the numbers for catering etc. Guess it kind of makes sense, but still not sure I agree with it. Going to stop complaining about it now, though.
  7. It's called a joke. Sorry if you didn't find it funny.
  8. No rant from me - think you're confusing me with someone else. Regardless, it's a forum, so people are allowed to air their opinions and suspicions. Try not to take it personally.
  9. Not sure how the Berwick situation is relevant to Glasgow calling off a meeting because Basso and Vissing were missing!
  10. The Glasgow promotion obviously didn't agree with you.
  11. There was also no tangible evidence to back up the real reason why Kings Lynn called off their match with Ipswich either, but most people are capable of putting two and two together.
  12. It’s almost as if there was an ulterior motive for calling it off. Wonder what it could have been…
  13. Shame. He was superb at Oxford last year, would have been a cracking signing
  14. The signing of Max Clegg is a bit of an odd one isn't it? Surely there were better options out there. A couple of Americans come to mind.
  15. Ryan Kinsley the replacement for Nathan Stoneman. Will make his debut on Wednesday.
  16. If that's the case they should just call off every meeting in the morning - you know, just in case.
  17. Yes is it. Look through his previous comments....he literally hadn't mentioned it until the day after the result and then he called the Oxford promotion 'scumbags'. And maybe nothing was done about it because it's not illegal.
  18. I must have missed the news where Oxford got fined/reprimanded for breaking the rules.
  19. Funny how it got 'under your skin', yet you only mentioned it the day after Redcar got battered by Oxford . How do those sour grapes taste?
  20. Not sure what’s more amusing. The ‘significant announcement’ line from Leicester themselves, or those supposedly in the know on here being all cryptic about it.
  21. Yeah, I agree. I thought it was okay. There were a few passes, and even some decent team riding.
  22. The start has been delayed slightly tonight as the Unipart bus has broken down.
