I'm debating it with you, so you have no intention of going? You seem to have a massive issue with people bringing this up based on your responses, why don't you just accept not everybody thinks the same way as you? We're all fellow Oxford fans, who ultimately want the best for the club, but it works both ways. You may not feel a £3 increase is excessive (or a £1 increase if you book ahead of time), but there are others that do. That's life. There's no point trying to say they're wrong, because they're not.

I attended every meeting bar two last season, and I'm debating it. If you can't see why people are disgruntled at a potential £3 increase in ticket prices, you must be slightly out of touch.

Strange. Only happened to me once last season (Newcastle) and my ticket was transferred to the Glasgow meeting, which I couldn't attend. Had to email them with my details (twice) to ask for it and it took ages to be refunded. I was told it was their policy to move the ticket to the next suitable meeting, as opposed to issuing an automatic refund. Not that I'm claiming it's a massive issue, but just pointing out that I can see why it would put people off buying a ticket in advance instead of on the day.

A refund for which you had to go through a lengthy procedure to get. By default it just went to the next meeting, I believe. Also don't think you got your booking fee back, which is one good thing about this year's pricing.

But I'm sure there are quite a few people who bought tickets on the day last season....so it's a £3 increase. I'm certainly one of those people who always paid on the day due to the weather risks. I live over 50 miles away now, so I'm not just going to buy a ticket in advance and hope for the best. People are debating it because a £3 increase is quite hefty. You must have plenty of disposable income if it doesn't matter to you, but I'm sure there are also plenty of people who haven't and it's a lot of money across a whole season.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but it all surely depends on the power output of said electric bike, no? A more powerful e bike would beat a 500cc speedway bike, a lesser-powered one wouldn't. What power outputs are you basing the above on? Speedway bikes are currently limited to 500cc, I'd have thought it's up the authorities to come up with a (hopefully) similar limit on e bike power before they start mixing.

I just think it's to do with the power disparity, no? If they are equally-powered it's fine, but you wouldn't stick a 500cc in the same race as a 125cc for instance. Nothing against it otherwise.

It would have to be a bigger electric motor. Think of it as motor=engine and battery=fuel.....the bigger the motor, the more power......the bigger the battery, the longer it will go before needing to be recharged.

It’s news to me that you can pay on the gate. Last year if you tried to do that, you were directed to the website where you had to buy a ticket online like everybody else. That said, I believe you can pay on the gate (card only) for the greyhounds, so perhaps they’ve introduced that for 2023. Is that the case?

It’s quite simple, do I need to explain it? Okay, here goes. Someone posted that Bewley will need to average 11.00 to beat Doyle in the averages this season. I responded showing Doyle’s average this year, and that there’s no way he will get close to 11.00. He only just got above 10.00 last year and this season will have increased competition, so how’s he going to put almost one point on his average? I never said he wouldn’t top the averages - which you seem to have presumed. Then you responded saying you didn’t see the point of my original message! Understand now?

So instead you responded to it, thus wasting everybody’s time. Could have just said it in the first place rather than trying to be clever about it.

I never once mentioned a decline. I was simply pointing out Doyle won’t get close to an 11.00 average.

Doyle had an average of 10.15 (across all comps) last year. He'll be a year older, and face tougher opposition in 2023. No way he'll average close to 11.

Scott Nicholls definitely captain of Oxford in the Championship. Presume it's Jordan Jenkins in the NDL (he was last season), but haven't seen it confirmed anywhere.

Really happy for Hume. After the Championship Pairs at Oxford last year, he stayed behind after Glasgow went out. Went and thanked all the fans for making the trip, and stayed for autographs and photos with kids long after everybody else had gone home - all the time with a huge smile on his face. Genuinely nice guy

How did you take this in a negative light? While it does state the PZM 'can' block any rider on one of its licences, it pretty much says they wont. In fact it's got a quote from Piotr Szymanski, the GKSZ chairman, saying "As long as the regulations of individual countries allow these players to drive in other league competitions, we will also agree to this...I have nothing against them performing in Great Britain..."

I only ever saw him post the exact opposite on Twitter. Can't show it as his account his long gone, but there's this from Poland's TVP World's news feed, you can see the hashtags... Grigory Laguta on the other hand!

Exactly. And even closer as the crow flies, less than 25 miles I'd imagine.
