  1. Not unless he’s in a team where he can stay at number 6 all season, juts can’t cut it in main body of the team
  2. Interesting that the British Speedway website still hasn’t updated the latest team declarations to include the Sheffield changes, they usually update on same day of the announcement, surely Sheffield wouldn’t announce signings that didn’t fit within the points limit allowed??
  3. Personally think this is two good changes and were needed. Sedgmen has struggled all season at home his last two performances there were shocking. As for Kerr we’ve seen again that when not at the number 6 reserve more times than not he doesn’t score his average (that 16 at King’s Lynn has given him a bit of an artificially high average). For the two new signings Etheridge was on the Sheffield radar for a 2024 team spot following his Play Off final performance at Owlerton but points wouldn’t fit him in, he’ll definitely score more than Sedgmen at home, away just depends what tracks Sheffield have left to visit. Morris has to be race rusty, hopefully he’s managed to get some new kit under him, if he can pick up 6-8 points from 4 rides home and away don’t think much more can be asked for
  4. Noticed again tonight Klindt not ready to race on more than one occasion when the clock hits 00:00, what’s the point of the 2 minute clock if the referee doesn’t use it?
  5. Sedgmen, Kerr and possibly Rowe should be grateful there’s not an influx of riders wanting ride in the UK, another week if them having inept performances around Owlerton
  6. Dodged a bullet by missing another one at Owlerton and watching the abysmal TNT broadcast instead. The track prep over the last couple of years from Trollope has got worse each week, does he actually listen to what the club/riders ask or go on his own merry way? Big applause though for Flint, takes some doing for a Rising Star to go through the card with a 5 ride paid maximum
  7. I’d say Douglas definitely helped his average decrease last night especially going through the motions in ht15, prior to last night he was 0.01 above Becker. Can see some tactical positioning by the Lions on Monday to keep only Fricke above Becker’s average
  8. I arrived late but didn’t hear him mention the change of use at Owlerton but did say that a) Tolley would not be part of Sheffield promotion in 2026 b) Bellego rumour as coming back was not true
  9. Why don’t King’s Lynn be open and honest with their fans and just say he has a 28 day ban (coincides with mid August return) rather than spouting nonsense about tracks and surfaces.
  10. You have to be jestin Phil that Bellego is coming back, he struggled around every away track bar the NSS!
  11. The first leg date for the KO Cup Final has always been pencilled in for Monday 28th July (second leg 31st July) but Polish Ekstraliga have just announced a fixture update with Częstochowa v Tourn now scheduled for 28th July. I know the semi final second leg hasn’t been run yet but sure Ipswich wouldn’t want to be without Doyle and Emil or King’s Lynn be without Kvech. Another one of Poland stamping their feet to show who is boss??
  12. The Douglas/Howarth combination might have to swap around who wins races and who settles for second (with bonus point) as Douglas now has a roller more than Becker which will throw a spanner in the R/R route they have been going down
  13. Was it announced last night then who is buying the Bates’ out at Sheffield at end of season?
  14. Taps watch waiting for announcement of Cook dropping again 🙈
  15. If you listen to Jason on the last weeks ‘Round the Boards’ podcast he says he’s free to ride anywhere in Premiership as not declared in the Birmingham team, but was hoping once fit would redeclare with him back in the RS slot, obviously Birmingham haven’t done that or weren’t told in time that he was fit to ride tonight
  16. Kvech has visited Owlerton 3 times (twice in 2024 and once in 2025) having 16 rides in total scoring 19 points (8 from 5, 9+1 from 7 and 2 from 4), so will need a big upturn in form to keep King’s Lynn in the hunt. R/R for Pickering should be a drop in points for Sheffield, can see possibly 6-7 from his rides which is easily 4 points less than you’d expect him to score. Home win but closer than the earlier match in the season, 51-39
  17. Was going to go to Owlerton Sheffield v King’s Lynn but think this match might be the better of the two, weather looks great so hopefully Dickson and crew have got plenty water in the track to allow some good racing. Can see this going to Ht15 again
  18. So glad I didn’t waste my time going to this one, was a lot easier just to switch BSN off, absolute shambles from Birmingham
  19. Have to applaud the Tigers lads effort last night after a difficult couple of meetings before that
  20. What happened to Anders Rowe to be pulled out of his 4th ride?
  21. Yeah I know we were behind the 8 ball trying to replace Woffinden both with availability and timing, but I’d try something else instead of the Sedgmen/Kerr combo now even if it’s just replacing one of them with an available Championship rider like Jonus Knudsen (Oxford Cheetahs), Connor Mountain/Jake Allen/Zaine Kennedy (Scunthorpe) as based on last night they can’t do any worse than Kerr last last
  22. Both Kerr and Rowe have looked slow for the last few weeks for Sheffield, with Kerr especially having some rough sounding machinery and have seen Poole fans not too impressed with some of his efforts to date. Problem is both Rowe and Kerr’s places in both Sheffield and Poole teams aren’t under threat as there’s no riders wanting to come over, can safely say whilst wearing Sheffield kevlars Kerr gone through the motions on more than one occasion this season. Hopefully Poole fans get to see them both back riding to their best ability and packing some big scores in for the Pirates
