  1. Can’t imagine much new news last night, imagine P&P would have been confirmed for Thursday 26th (can’t see any other viable date) and that’s about it. Don’t think Damian Bates will have given any Northampton news before giving the promotion there the chance to be first with anything team related
  2. Wonder if this will be anything near the Northampton 1-7 for the coming season: 1 Jaimon Lidsey 7.87 2 Rohan Tungate 5.89 3 Nicolai Klindt 6.46 4 Charles Wright 6.11 5 Niels Iversen 6.71 6 Kye Thomson 3.95 7 Luke Harrison RS Using the last updated 2025 averages including any reductions I think that the team total is 36.99
  3. Mikkel retired maybe 3-4 seasons ago but has just announced he’s signed back for Slangarup in Denmark for this season so on the comeback trail
  4. Wonder if the American is still part of the ownership? Know some of the numbers initially didn’t sit well with him
  5. Today’s going to be a Fabrizio Romano sort of day
  6. So we had 5 official teams now With Ipswich line up confirmed, leaving the Northampton situation to be confirmed one way or another. Surely the BSPL can release the fixtures based on the 5 teams we know as running with TBC slots for the 6th side should Northampton come to the table? The fans that attends meetings home or away need to arrange time off, accommodation etc so come on BSPL play ball a bit here the 2026 season starts this month.
  7. Running in the Championship (Cheetahs) and NDL (Chargers) in 2026 no Premiership side this coming season
  8. The guy who posted on the Speedway Friends UK Facebook post re Northampton (the one with the pic of the Holder brothers with Northampton poster behind them) is adamant that no contact has been signed by any promotion with Speedeworth for speedway to be there in 2026. beyond a joke now, should just crack on announce Ipswich team and fixtures for a 5 team league and move forwards, tye circus is just becoming a bigger laughing stock as days go by with unanswered questions and paying public left in the dark
  9. Isn’t there a STAARS meeting tonight, wonder if there’ll be any update on the Ipswich buy out and Northampton if it’s going be a yes or no? Assuming the Tigers Ten tickets will get a push or two with Sheffield like the other clubs desperate for some sort of income ahead of the season
  10. Is it true what I’ve heard that there’s a deadline of the end of this week to confirm if Northampton are running in 2026 or not, not sure if that’s BSPL imposed, Spedeworth or whoever?
  11. Only benefit for those that park at the Stadium is saving £3 per meeting for parking so that’s £30 for the 10 meetings
  12. At one point I know he had 16 engines in his workshop last year, 5 in chassis and 11 on the shelf, that’s some amount of £££ being thrown around there. Well established riders I know have always had 3 fully built chassis in UK and roughly 6-8 engines on the shelf that have a bit of a sell, keep, sell merry go round
  13. Believe Dan Thompson will ride at number 2 at Leicester with Douglas and the middle order will be Nick Morris at 3 and Kyle Howarth at 4. Based on UK tracks being not very Polish and Thorsell being in main body of the team like I’d rank them Cook, Wright/Howarth, Thorsell, Rowe & Kildemand. Thorsell won’t have ridden Owlerton for years if at all, plus a Buster type grippy Norfolk Arena ain’t for most, there’s only NSS he’s had experience on in recent years
  14. Thorsell has had offers from both Ipswich and Northampton, not sure if he’s agreed a deal with either though, but info was he wants to ride in UK in 2026
  15. I’d say the confirmed 5 as Brennan, King, Musielak, Nicholls and Edwards
  16. Can see Scott Nicholls back at Ipswich at number 2 or 4, especially if the owners aren’t into much of a Hurry to announce the new team manager 😜
  17. He’s ok if you’ve got a spare £3k guarantee for him for every meeting, he might even do the odd ht15!
  18. The rider I spoke to last week said he expects fixtures to be out in the next 2 weeks (mid to late Feb), so a bit more waiting time yet by the sounds of it 🙄
  19. Think riders like Kyle Howarth, Dan Thompson, Leon Flint etc (Champions heatleders/Premiership second strings) would only really know if they could afford to do one league once they knew what points money they were going to be offered as no guarantees available. Based on 2025 numbers racing 1 night a week for both clubs you’d imagine at Glasgow in the Championship he’d have been on around £120 a point, average 11 points over 5 rides is £1,375 and Leicester around £160 a point average 6 points over 4 rides is £640, not heat leader money of £200+ a point, so in the one big league scenario he’d need to earn £2,015 a week to break even from 2025, so in a watered down one big league you’d expect him to average say roughly 7.5 points a meeting over 4/5 rides so that’s over £270 a point which isn’t going to happen, as even with 14 teams it’s unlikely you’d race 2 times a week often. Can’t imagine him or any rider wanting to race for less than on previously as mechanics pay, bike maintenance, bike parts etc all gone north in costs
  20. From what I was told earlier in the week he’d shown an interest
  21. From what I was told the new owners want to be Ruthless when it comes to signings
  22. It’ll be something like more fan interaction like they tried to do towards end of last season, stuff like social media question with centre green experience, team photo and all that sort of thing I’d imagine.
