  1. I’d say Douglas definitely helped his average decrease last night especially going through the motions in ht15, prior to last night he was 0.01 above Becker. Can see some tactical positioning by the Lions on Monday to keep only Fricke above Becker’s average
  2. I arrived late but didn’t hear him mention the change of use at Owlerton but did say that a) Tolley would not be part of Sheffield promotion in 2026 b) Bellego rumour as coming back was not true
  3. Why don’t King’s Lynn be open and honest with their fans and just say he has a 28 day ban (coincides with mid August return) rather than spouting nonsense about tracks and surfaces.
  4. You have to be jestin Phil that Bellego is coming back, he struggled around every away track bar the NSS!
  5. The first leg date for the KO Cup Final has always been pencilled in for Monday 28th July (second leg 31st July) but Polish Ekstraliga have just announced a fixture update with Częstochowa v Tourn now scheduled for 28th July. I know the semi final second leg hasn’t been run yet but sure Ipswich wouldn’t want to be without Doyle and Emil or King’s Lynn be without Kvech. Another one of Poland stamping their feet to show who is boss??
  6. The Douglas/Howarth combination might have to swap around who wins races and who settles for second (with bonus point) as Douglas now has a roller more than Becker which will throw a spanner in the R/R route they have been going down
  7. Was it announced last night then who is buying the Bates’ out at Sheffield at end of season?
  8. Taps watch waiting for announcement of Cook dropping again 🙈
  9. If you listen to Jason on the last weeks ‘Round the Boards’ podcast he says he’s free to ride anywhere in Premiership as not declared in the Birmingham team, but was hoping once fit would redeclare with him back in the RS slot, obviously Birmingham haven’t done that or weren’t told in time that he was fit to ride tonight
  10. Kvech has visited Owlerton 3 times (twice in 2024 and once in 2025) having 16 rides in total scoring 19 points (8 from 5, 9+1 from 7 and 2 from 4), so will need a big upturn in form to keep King’s Lynn in the hunt. R/R for Pickering should be a drop in points for Sheffield, can see possibly 6-7 from his rides which is easily 4 points less than you’d expect him to score. Home win but closer than the earlier match in the season, 51-39
  11. Was going to go to Owlerton Sheffield v King’s Lynn but think this match might be the better of the two, weather looks great so hopefully Dickson and crew have got plenty water in the track to allow some good racing. Can see this going to Ht15 again
  12. So glad I didn’t waste my time going to this one, was a lot easier just to switch BSN off, absolute shambles from Birmingham
  13. Have to applaud the Tigers lads effort last night after a difficult couple of meetings before that
  14. What happened to Anders Rowe to be pulled out of his 4th ride?
  15. Yeah I know we were behind the 8 ball trying to replace Woffinden both with availability and timing, but I’d try something else instead of the Sedgmen/Kerr combo now even if it’s just replacing one of them with an available Championship rider like Jonus Knudsen (Oxford Cheetahs), Connor Mountain/Jake Allen/Zaine Kennedy (Scunthorpe) as based on last night they can’t do any worse than Kerr last last
  16. Both Kerr and Rowe have looked slow for the last few weeks for Sheffield, with Kerr especially having some rough sounding machinery and have seen Poole fans not too impressed with some of his efforts to date. Problem is both Rowe and Kerr’s places in both Sheffield and Poole teams aren’t under threat as there’s no riders wanting to come over, can safely say whilst wearing Sheffield kevlars Kerr gone through the motions on more than one occasion this season. Hopefully Poole fans get to see them both back riding to their best ability and packing some big scores in for the Pirates
  17. Having witnessed Sheffield’s last two lacklustre away performances can only see a big Ipswich win. For Sheffield we know both Holder’s don’t generally go well at Foxhall (will Jack be putting it all on the line ahead of a double SGP weekend?) Pickering is hit and miss averages less than 6 away, Sedgman and Kerr only any use if they gate, Rowe another like Pickering who struggles away from home circuit. As for Ipswich can see the engine room of the team (King, Brennan and Ellis) easily getting 30 points between the three of them, Mountain and Jenkins should outscore there reserve opposition, can’t see anyone touching Sayfutdinov and Masters generally quick from the gate he might not score what Doyle does around Foxhall but should be knocking double digits. Think it will be somthing like 55-35 to Ipswich a very very comfortable night for them
  18. Good job there’s a lack of riders willing or available to ride in the UK as there should be at least a couple of Sheffield riders either due a P45 or be on a mast warning for one after the last two away performances. OK to build a team to be string at home but to be so poor away is appalling
  19. Really nasty crash that for Becker, Canal+ Sport saying he’s conscious but has back pain, can’t see him being able to ride tomorrow after that one.
  20. Really nasty crash that for Becker, Canal+ Sport saying he’s conscious but has back pain, can’t see him being able to ride tomorrow after that one.
  21. Wonder if Sheffield have to call it off by xx:xx time as to not get charged by their landlords at Owlerton Stadium and with this one the forecast was saying they might get the meeting on so took the risk of not postponing it? If that’s the case just more cash out of the Bates’ pockets and with the rumours of them wanting out that won’t help Sheffield speedway moving forwards into 2026
  22. Thought the self names National Speedway Stadium had fantastic drainage? Forecast less than 25% rain maximum from early afternoon. Either Lemon worried about crowd with no Kurtz, that Birmingham could have a chance of turning them over, or wants zero damage to the track ahead of next weekend. Not just Belle Vue but postponements need to be looked at as meetings getting called off with less than 50% chance of rain then ends up dry all evening, meaning meetings/play offs end up being later in the season.
  23. Know Zach has signed recently for Wroclaw, they are riding Friday, could they have put him into their squad for Fridays meeting and that have precedence over UK meeting?
