  1. Seems to be if you’re riding OK for Grudziadz they give you the ‘freedom’ to ride where you want, if you’re not scoring well then you’re grounded and it’s Polska only be that for training or meetings. If they just had this sort of rule for the Poles only you’d sort of have to accept us as PZM/Ekstraliga give out the agreement to ride abroad, but should have no control on the foreigners. Suppose it just shows they pay the £££ they run the show
  2. The races between Musielak, Holder, Sayfutdinov and Doyle should be belters, starting from Ht1 with Musielak and Doyle. Sheffield need to win by more than 4 to get the bonus point, Doyle usually flys around Owlerton and don’t think it’ll take Sayfutdinov long to work out how close he can ride to the air fence so expect big points from those two, Ipswich also have King and Barker who have shown they can get around Owlerton, plus Hulme notched up plenty of points when he wore a Tigers race jacket. Rew should do OK with it being a big track. Think Thompson will be just happy to be back on the bike after the concussion. The home boys all need to fire, don’t think Musielak and Holder will need much geeing up to get big points against there opposite big hitters, Ellis trapped OK last week and also Monday just looks to lock speed especially when he waved through Doyle and Sayfutdinov in races at Foxhall, Kerr will want to improve on his 4 paid 7 from last week, Howarth has hopefully overcome his latest knock so will be needing big points at reserve if the bonus point is to come to Sheffield. Gilkes has improved week on week but does need more laps around Sheffield to work out the lines etc, he’ll be wanting 4 rides and points. Then there’s Bellego, brought in to power score at home which really he’s not done to date to compensate for his absolutely abysmal away scoring, he’ll get a new average after Thursdays meeting, but could it be his last as moves to reserve after this one also which seriously weakens Sheffield away from home. Score? Think Sheffield will get the win and bonus point but it won’t be by much, 49-41 home win
  3. Think it will depend also on how much ££ he’s demanding as Brady was flashing the cash at Lynn by all accounts
  4. The manager at Grudziadz has said about Jakobsen no longer starting in UK, could be the Polish gettIng wrong end of stick on Sportowefakty site, who knows
  5. So Laguta has done his 3 ‘taster’ meetings now riding the 2 tracks he’d only previously ridden before in the UK, wonder when he’ll make the decision whether to continue riding here or not? The £5k a meeting might need to be reworked for the rest of the season if he does as there needs to be other changes to make the team competitive
  6. Only chance of a Sheffield win is if either Bellego turns up with no brakes on his bars, or if he has to miss the meeting and it’s R/R as a replacement! Holder never really score more 6-9 there, Musielak missed the last meeting there so will take a ride to get dialled in, Ellis not really scored well anywhere away from Owlerton this season, pressure on Kerr and Howarth to score well above their averages to compensate for Bellego’s away lack for scoring in general, as long as Gilkes beats Thompson he’s done his job Doyle and Sayfutdinov will be up there with 26-30 points between them, King needs to get out of his Premiership slump looked like he scored decent points on Friday so needs to transfer that form to Monday, Barker and Hulme are pivotal and need to be beating the Sheffield engine room riders which Hulme did on the last visit, Rew at reserve will no doubt get 5 rides (similar to Howarth) and will need to be 7-10 points to cover the high scoring Sheffield reserves I think Ipswich will get the home win 49-41 (if Bellego is riding)
  7. Bellego on 5.80, overall team is around 1.22 below the 40.00 limit. So anyone coming in could be up to 7.02 if my maths is right
  8. Becker looked uncomfortable walking to the changing rooms before the meeting, obviously he’s nowhere near 100% and some of the UK tracks won’t favour carrying that type of injury compared to the flat Continental tracks where there’s less stress on the leg, to be fair though he’s always been inconsistent around Owlerton, could score 2 or 8 don’t think it’s one of his faves
  9. When Bellego goes to reserve after he does 1 more home league meeting then we are in trouble as he is abysmal away from Owlerton apart from maybe NSS, that will take away the ‘strong’ reserve situation we’ve had so far this season
  10. Paid 24 from two meetings from Kyle ain’t too shabby
  11. Ignoring the play off semi final at the end of 2022 this is usually a close run affair. Master, Worrall and Douglas all know the fastest way around Owlerton and if it’s on the slick side then Schlein will be up there too, Becker always been a bit hit and miss but an easily get 5-7 points. Think it’s Cook’s first time in track so will take a ride or two to get dialled in but he’s seen the place plenty of time when spannering for Holder in early 2022. Flint can pop out and liking the bigger track isn’t scared of using the high dirt line. As for the home side, Musielak and Holder are usually good for 10+ points each, a lot will depend on Ellis and Bellego as both have been pretty poor so far (exception being the Lynn whipping 2 weeks ago) Ellis has looked slow even if he pops out of the start he’s always looking behind so must feel the lack of speed and Bellego has ridden very hesitant so far like a mix of Batchelor and Craig Cook when not committing to tough first bends etc, Kerr has rode very consistently all season and similar to when he was at reserve there’s the added bonus of having Howarth down there who again can get 4-7 rides depending on others performance, Gilkes has picked up good points and learning every race I’ll go for a home win, not an annihilation like the home match last time out v King’s Lynn but something around 50-40 mark
  12. That team needs ripping apart, Howarth and Worrall were never going to score at home like they did for Leicester last year the track isn’t conducive for them if they miss the gate. The two reserves sink on the away tracks, OK they might nick a win at home if they pop out again showing it’s a gaters paradise. They really need to drop one of the big heat leaders and possibly Turner and bring something like Batchelor/Dan Thompson or Dillon Ruml as that would enable them to have a decent third heat leader and a lot stronger reserve and be more competitive especially away
  13. An away win for BV 40-50, definitely needs the Lynn engine room to turn up if they have any chance of keeping this one close.
  14. Lemon must be playing the long game, which he can afford too is suppose with results so far, unfortunately for Lynn and P’Boro they need the fix now which is a lot more difficult a position especially for Brady having already played one trump card costing him £5k a meeting that’s not changed much when you have a team full of 6 pointers around Laguta who are expected to score 7-10 points which won’t happen weekly
  15. Looking at their results does he need to replace Mulford or are the other 6 taking the weight and Lemon is letting him get the experience? He might have already seen what some of the available rising stars have to offer and not fancy then, he’s had Bailey as a #8 before and more than likely seen Kemp’s sulks and tantrums, Rowe’s distaste for British Speedway, Smith’s stagnation, etc plus when watching the Colts he’ll have a better understanding of the Rising Stars out there and what they give around NSS etc .
  16. Brady unfortunately built the team around riders who are his ‘mates’ and that wins you nothing, hopefully he’s beginning to see that. You’ve got to have a ruthless streak when the team is struggling to cull riders (providing there’s replacements out there of course), can’t imagine Mark Lemon or Damien Bates not doing what’s best for the club and move riders on who aren’t performing being mates with them or not. Speedway is and always has been a numbers game and that’s it
  17. If he ain’t first he’s last, standard Klindt score from five rides 3,0,0,3,0 he always seems to be the same when I’ve seen him ride. He’s not a 8 point heat leader like Museliak, Holder, Kurtz etc he’s more in the Ellis, Morris, Douglas area
  18. Hope Laguta isn’t expecting the flat slick track like he’s used to over in Poland, that’s if Busty is allowed out with his toys! It will be closer than the last Sheffield visit where they dominated from Ht1, if the 6 Sheffield riders all ride the track like they have done in previous visits can see Sheffield running out winners again 42-48, Thomson v Howarth and Kerr v Jorgensen are the two key battles
  19. Have Peterborough actually announced Tarasenko yet? His TV interview at the Grudziadz meeting plus the Polish sites (Sportowefakty etc) have already mentioned him being in the Panthers line up, but I can’t remember seeing a press release. If they don’t announce another incoming rider with him it’s a bit after the horse has bolted
  20. Harris was going to miss the original date this was in for, so would have needed a guest for him then anyway, so no real change other than who’d be available to guest at that point with fixtures/averages etc
  21. Just a side note to the meeting, looked really a bit shoddy and unprofessional Douglas not being provided with a Kings Lynn race jacket or shirt as a guest, just a duct taped number 5 in his back
  22. Well looks like you won’t be seeing Kasperzak just going through the motions again in Stars kevlars
  23. BWD on an artificially high average from pre covid, be better off with someone who Sheffield could get as an asset, likes of Lyager, Krakowiak for Bellego. As for Ellis he’s become part of the furniture with the links in the club, needs to pull his finger out though as been shocking this year
