  1. Adam’s problem has been that due to being a bit of a gating tart not having speed he just ends up looking lost at the back. Can honestly say I can count on one hand the amount of times he has come from the back home or away in the last few seasons. When he gates he’s usually gone, it really can you afford a rider that goes 3,0,3,0 each meeting. Hope he gets a team spot somewhere as always a shame when a British rider misses out on a UK spot
  2. Good luck with Ellis, been slow for last 2 seasons, average has gone south since 3/4 of the way through the 2021 season. I heard the other week that Ben Cook was nailed in for an Aces spot in 2024, that would be a good signing as can ride all tracks
  3. Brennan is seemingly not at BV in 2024, would slot into the number 2 or 4 role at Ipswich
  4. They should be looking for someone who’ll commit them for the whole season, not 1/2 of it so they end up with Guests/RR
  5. It’s been confirmed by Phil Morris in the Speedway Star that there will be medals for those that have ridden for Sheffield pre the play offs
  6. That’s be a good addition to the team as Kyle can easily build on his current rolling average around Scunthorpe, the move to Plymouth definitely looked like it didn’t suit him, so really getting a 9 pointer on an 8 average, plus he’s a proper racer so that adds to the entertainment value
  7. Jack H / Tobi Kyle / Lewi Chris H Picko Tai Connor / Jye / Jake A Jason E / Dan G / Boughen
  8. Whilst Denmark, Sweden and Poland have fixed race nights there won’t be one big league in the UK. Next year the Prem will have at least 6 (Birm, BV, KL, Leic, Ips, Shef) possibly 7 with the new track (not blabbing with the location, I’ll let the promotion do that). As for team building average needs a bump up from 39 to either 40.5 or 41 to allow teams to get a couple of big hitters in (existing or new to league) and a decent engine room rather than being full of 4 pointers.
  9. It wasn’t on TV just on the interview that Ryan Guest did with him on centre green
  10. Hopefully Danny King not feeling too banged up this morning as that was awkward hard crash last night
  11. NSS produces one or two races a night, rest is gate and go fast riding not racing
  12. What would Ipswich do if that’s the case? R/R or guest?? Harris already in for Sheffield, Lawson can’t due to 8 day rule, Fricke has broken bone in his hand and due an operation this week (if not had it already), Laguta has broken bone in his arm, that leaves NKI, Basso, Tarasenko, Ben Cook, Sedgmen, Kerr or MPT. With that selection I’d go for Kerr with his Owlerton experience, R/R only hope is that Sayfutdinov and King win their rides and Rew and Riss can pick up a couple between them
  13. Can see Etheridge doing at least one leg if not both next week if Sheffield get through and Vissing still out
  14. Damien Bates on ‘No Brakes No Fear’ podcast said 8 day rule doesn’t apply to guests appearing for number 1 in averages so that’s why Lambert been pencilled in for next week also
  15. Looks like R/R then as what’s left ain’t up to the task
  16. There’s the 8 day guest rule also to take into consideration for a guest not replacing the number one in the averages (Musielak goes to number one from 1/10). Damien Bates has confirmed that Robert Lambert and Richard Lawson are doing the 2nd leg v Wolves this Thursday and that Robert Lambert has agreed to do both legs of the final if Sheffield get there. If no Tai Woffinden next week (imagine that he’s season is over after the crash on Sunday but would live it if he was back) then Sheffield could use Chris Harris for both legs v Ipswich as a guest, as Lawson would not be able to guest in the 2nd leg of the final due to the 8 day rule and Damien’s preference is to have the same guest for both legs As for Vissing, no guest confirmed yet for a Thursday, but imagine after his last guest appearance Jye Etheridge will be in for the two legs of the final if Vissing continues to be out next week Why is nothing every straight forward!!
  17. Proper team player also, out there after Lawson knocked off in Ht15 helping prep bike etc, racer at heart
  18. Solid performance from the Sheffield unlike any of the previous visits this season, Howarth set the tone in heat one and they consolidated from there picking up vital heat advantages throughout the meeting to end up with a deserved victory. Only half a job done though as seen Wolves win on more than one occasion at Owlerton over last few years
  19. Could see someone like Kyle Howarth at Scunny, don’t think the season at Plymouth as really helped him and sure he could add to his average having a home track that gives more opportunities to overtake
  20. Watched him at a Redcar on Friday on a very tricky track (more experienced team mates struggled early doors) and he did roll of every first bend after the start pretty sure he’ll learn with experience that h needs ti get elbows out and get involved with the tight first bends as always behind the eight ball if not, he did have the speed to catch up to Luke Harrison but never threatened to pass
  21. Not good en….. injured his knee in Denmark a couple of weeks ago, been missing Glasgow’s fixtures also
  22. Like Sheffield when they had Ellis, spent big £££ on foreign kit and rock up to UK with a bag of spanners and hope it does the job
  23. Why? He can’t ride Wolves or Owlerton? Even Harris would score more as a guest
