Sheffield v King’s Lynn - 25th May
InTheDeepStuff replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just a side note to the meeting, looked really a bit shoddy and unprofessional Douglas not being provided with a Kings Lynn race jacket or shirt as a guest, just a duct taped number 5 in his back -

BWD on an artificially high average from pre covid, be better off with someone who Sheffield could get as an asset, likes of Lyager, Krakowiak for Bellego. As for Ellis he’s become part of the furniture with the links in the club, needs to pull his finger out though as been shocking this year -
7 weeks yes that’s 7 weeks since the Tigers last home meeting, going to be like starting the season again with not much idea of how the track will react (stocks have been on the track a few times since last meeting). For Sheffield you know what you’re generally getting from Holder and Museliak around Owlerton in points and excitement, Howarth has been scoring well bar the blip at Leicester on Monday and sure he’ll be back to his all action full commitment riding, Ellis is a concern as not getting out of the starts, looks slow when he does get out being passed on a few occasions in the two previous home meetings when having a decent lead and this has been the case since start of last season, then there’s Bellego, can score power points at home but does that outweigh his absolutely abysmal away form? The two boys down at reserve won’t have it easy, Gilkes v Edwards should be just as good as Kerr v Pickering, with Kerr as always wanting to put on a show against his previous employers As for Lynn, Klindt can fly around Owlerton but could also go 3,0,3,0,0, Kasperzak was atrocious on his previous visit so surely he can’t be that bad again, Jorgensen and Palm-Toft both know the fastest way around there too (one usually high and wide and the other kerb crawling), then there’s Jakobsen when at reserve on his last visits he never pulled up any trees, could just be Owlerton shape just isn’t for him (like Bellego and rest of UK tracks!!), a lot of pressure could be on Pickering with 6/7 rides if the main body don’t perform which will be tough on his body after his injury break Result? Think that will be a Sheffield win but not by as bigger margin as it was in the KO Cup in early April, 51-39

More than likely can’t risk Bellego in Ht8 away from home with it being protected, at least at 4 or 3 you can replace him in Ht10, Ht12 or Ht14 with a stronger reserve
-
The update on that will be announced shortly, but with three missing and Wednesday v Barnsley on same day at Wembley I think you can see what the outcome will be
-
Surely after another abysmal away performance from Bellego he’s got to get the boot, even bringing Mountain back and moving Kerr into main body would be a better solution. Next one with head on the chopping block has to be Ellis, he’s dropped 3 points off his average in since start of last season, spread himself too thinly riding in 3 leagues plus GB commitments and SEC/SGP qualifiers etc and following Bewley everywhere. Know heat leaders are hard to come by but need that engine room/3rd heat leader need replacing before their averages plummet even more leaving no room for manoeuvre
-
Laguta in KK out was what I was told, not sure if a second change is needed from an averages perspective or if come 1st June with new averages it’s one in one out
-
From what I heard at Wolves tonight the Stars fans are going to be very happy with the incoming team change

Redcar vs Poole BSN SF 2nd leg 20th May
InTheDeepStuff replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Mulford currently giving too much away at the starts, if he can get out with the other 3 riders he’ll be up there in the points, that was seen at Owlerton for Belle Vue when he popped out in Ht8 and comfortably won from Bellego, Gilkes and Blodorn, yet when I’ve seen him on BSN he’s giving the other 3 riders at least half a bike at the start -
Don’t think Musielak , Holder or Bellego will have done many laps around Leicester so they’ll need to be on the front foot so to not allow a solid Leicester team to get early momentum. Think the key rider for Sheffield will be Kyle Howarth, knows the quickest way around the track after a couple of years there so a lot will depend on how fit he is after recent knocks and as for Leicester Fricke Morris and Lawson will need to be in the top of their game if the Sheffieod heat leaders get dialled in. If Allen and Thompson get the drop over Allen and Gilkes in the scoring that could turn the result in their favour

Peterborough Panthers 2023

Surprised Peterborough not gone down the younger TM route like Sheffield done with Steady and brought in Allen, the ‘old boys’ have past their prime time surely some new blood in that area will help also -

Was there any news on Howarth? Know he was withdrawn after ht1 fall but did it say what the injury was?? -

Seemingly had a bad neck according to one of the press releases, imagine had some sort of work done to ease it to be able to ride, no rider want to miss meetings earning their wage -
Should really be Miss

See Ipswich have replaced Erik Riss with Ben Barker under a 28 day contract, wonder if Redcar will go down same route or stick with guests whilst they can?

Mark Phillips already posted that Kyle won’t be riding Tuesday for Plymouth, imagine he’ll be unable to ride for 7 days with the rules in place -

Or King’s Lynn and Ipswich!! Bellego turning into the 2023 version of Sheffield’s 2021 Batch. OK turning up at Sheffield but surely got to score more than he is away from home. Know riders aren’t a plenty at the moment, but if I could replace Bellego i would ahead of his average plummeting -

Meeting off, waterlogged track -
Looks like Bellego’s away from in Poland just as much as concern as in the UK, was carried by the other 6 at King’s Lynn and abysmal at Ipswich the week before https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/relacja/144125/trans-mf-landshut-devils-abramczyk-polonia-bydgoszcz

Know it reads wrong but as phillipsr has correctly said above NDL only for Ben Trigger he’s not ready and will just criple any ounce of confidence he has scoring Audi’s each week -

InTheDeepStuff replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Plymouth sort of riding with 5.5 riders, Turner will take a couple of rides at each track at best to be the .5, Trigger completely out of his depth and needs to be riding NDL to gain experience, with one of Howarth, Worrall or Barker taking a Tac Sub in the majority of away meetings it might help reduce their averages a bit to enable a team change, unless Plymouth go down the route of taking out one of Howarth or Worrall as well as Trigger and bring two riders with combined average of around 10 points, that seems to be the best way forward to make them competitive away, or stick as they are and hope to keep home a fortress
