2023 FIM Long Track
midlandred replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
Well done, Bomber - second successive victory! -
Televising speedway meetings has eliminated the chance of having such anticipation of a live appearance
-
Woffinden shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence as the great Ivan Mauger
-
Saw him recently at the Grasstrack at Dalton Barracks, handing out Brummies leaflets
-
What occurred?
-
Abi’s having a shocker too!
-
Not to mention that the meeting is on tv too. I’ve said all along that televising UK meetings keeps paying spectators away.
-
Great ride by Bomber there - apparently!

Reading this thread is awful. But I spotted this and am amazed that this SM situation has arisen - Press & Social Media Output: David Rowe/Curtis Sport

Nice thought, but I don’t the capacity would be much more than half that figure

Who is still riding who rode in 2004?
midlandred replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Nothing wrong with it as far as Adam’s concerned - saw one of his really big offs at Brandon where he wasn’t moved for 40 minutes. I’m calling out a system which runs a competition called “development” which includes a rider with 20 years experience of league racing. Don’t jump to conclusions! -

Roynon still in Development League! -

Correct, but the influence of Croker (the FA) was decisive
-
It was Ted Croker of the FA which got the speedway kicked out of the Empire Stadium
-
No.2 above. Each numbered square represents a rider. Choose three numbers and hope they are the correct ones.
-
Part of the “magic” of the Empire Stadium was that it produced the World Champion. If this idea were to go ahead, it would just be one of the qualifying rounds in the GP series (OOFC).
