Think you'll find it is Carter that is the legend and Penhall was nothing by an American fly boy. At the time there was much more interest in Carter and today more people talk about Carter than Penhall. Have to agree with Dirt about the 82 final. Not sure what footage you've watched but it's very clear that Penhall took out Carter and should have gone. Certainly no room was left.

My thoughts as well. I remember getting the coach from Hackney to go and support Rye every Sunday. Wasn't any hatred from the Hackney side and I can't see why there would be the other way.

King Lynn is one of the best RACE tracks in the country (the best IMO) and will be prepared by the man who gave us such a good surface at Peterborough last year and what fab racing that produced. The number one choice by a country mile.

It's all about money and they will want to Cardiff to be as full as possible. Having only 1 brit in the GP legitimately would risk the crowd level being affected. Rightly or wrongly I think they will want 2 brits.

Agreed, no he didn't do it Saturday & the Ref was terrible. But did you see anyone else cheating. No. Otherwise everyone would still be there now re-running heats cos a rider took a fall to get a rerun. He got boo'ed because of the cheating and because we've had to suffer watching him push rider after rider into the fence year after year and seen him go into the pits with a smile on his face from ear to ear, which IMHO doesn't make him a nice person.

Exactly what has he got to smile about ? He's just potentially injured a rider by pushing him into the fence. Very funny I didn't say he did that Saturday night. What he did Saturday night was play the Ref. He made a few terrible starts which would have left him in 3rd or 4th place so chose to take a fall. Basically cheated, that's why he was boo'ed.

Couldn't agree more. Olsen stating that the phone was't working just adds to the conspiracy theory. Looks like Nicki is being protected by Mr Olsen and if it goes down to the wire then we have the same ref in the last GP - hhmmm.
