Ipswich v Belle Vue 10th September
KevtheRev replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Track was different from Monday, when it was perfect and seemed quite slick which suited Belle Vue who were so much faster and deserved the win. If you prepare the track for the weather you are heading for failure. Apart from Monday the track has been awful all year. That should be top priority for next year. Have to question Hurry's performance as team manager - im not seeing anything to impress. So unless we pull off a shock win at Leicester, King's Lynn go to Northampton knowing a win will see them take the last place in the play offs. -
Ipswich vs Sheffield Monday 7th September
KevtheRev replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Excellent meeting. Plenty of passing, best of the season by far and all done in 85 minutes. Sheffield were up for it and Everyone knew they were in a fight and gave it their all. Everyone that is apart from Edwards who was shocking. Throttling off before he even got to the bend. -
Would be nice to know, even provisional dates, so people can put plans in place but that would be a considerate thing to do!
-
I think you may be onto something there, though that is open for abuse. I would say if the fixture is called off early (before the referee has arrived) then the away team is awarded a point. No points for the home team. The fixture is then run at a later date.
-
Some are saying about 8 heavy showers today, others who live just as close to the stadium are saying just 1 short shower. I know who I believe. Very dodgy to call off so early. Should be investigated and Leicester punished.
-
What a joke. Usual end is season games being played
-
Rain will have cleared by midday. Still warm and windy so track will dry
-
Leicester vs Belle Vue postponed. Get in quick for a better guest I'm sure Sheffield must be looking at Doyle. Kemp?
-
He never did the track walk last week after all the rain, whereas all the other 6 walked round together. Also ran in at the last second for the team photo. On another note our reserve nearly cost us tonight. I know some will disagree but Edwards goes missing far too often.
-
With Lawson withholding his services and potentially getting a 28 day ban and Scotty out with a broken collarbone I'm surprised there is no news from the club or gossiping on here.
-
On a more positive note, how good was it to see Adam Ellis on fire. As many said last night he should have been in our side from the start.
-
His story just doesn't add up. As others have said he could have called in a lot earlier to say he was having problems. Not good enough and not the first time. No respect for his club or team mates. If someone is available or about to become available then he needs to go.

Leicester vs. Ipswich KO CUP Final 2nd Leg 30/07/26
KevtheRev replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Totally agree. Paul Hurry and the Ipswich Management should be doing more. Saying he's got their full support is nowhere near enough. Need to do more. -
Ipswich vs Kings Lynn Thursday April 9th 7.30pm KOC

Disagree, You are very much in the significant majority. Nothing beats being there. -
Maybe just 10 home meetings for everyone.
-
Kind of feel that is coming! Silence is golden but not in this case
-
He's the big key to any success. If he can get the team working well together then the results will come.

With no TV deal whats the point of a media day
-
Given the importance of this new venture, they are going to need a big star to front the team. Got to be Tai surely.
-
Whatever is going on, is not good. Probably the usual they want new teams in the league, but they want to constrict them. It's no wonder the sport is dying.
-
Having lost Dan to Leicester, maybe they are trying to get Jason and/or Emil back. They would be mad not to try. The team posted yesterday will be on a hiding to nothing. Crowds would drop significantly.
-
I'm sure if the delay was just contained within Ipswich, then the club could/would make some announcements as to riders etc. The fact that nothing has been broadcast means that the issue is due to a wider issue within the premiership.
-
The longer this goes on the more worrying this becomes. Maybe certain riders are wanted by Ipswich but they are being held back for Northampton or wherever. Ipswich are then threatening to pull out if they are not being allowed to sign riders, which would be understandable.
-
All this reminds me of Hackney 1988. Team wins the league in a class of their own. During the close season the team gets ripped apart ( funnily enough half of them go to Ipswich). Three years late Hackney closed.
