  1. I’ll take that. Taking into account the Complin situation and Berwick being two meetings deep, that’s a decent result. Lewis Kerr, take a bow son. He bullied and I mean bullied Harris at the first bend of heat one and coming off the second bend in heat fifteen. That’s the first time I’ve been at Shielfield since Adrien Rymel was using those last two bends as a half-pipe. Loved it. My first was Nicki Pedersen’s Newcastle debut. Leon Flint’s needing to pack in those wheelies at the end. You came last, mate. You’re riding for the champions now; we don’t celebrate defeats.
  2. What is the rumoured team? I haven’t had the opportunity to see anything on here over the past couple of months. I assume Harris will be one, but find it off that if so, he wasn’t announced following the cryptic “01/12/23” nonsense on social media. Again, nothing against Lee Complin who I’m a huge fan of.
  3. What’s the script with the amateur dramatics team building announcements? I’m delighted Complin is back, but firing-out a cloak-and-dagger social media post with nothing more than a date, then subsequently announcing the first reserve’s return is speedway’s equivalent to Netflix releasing a set date drumroll which turned-out to be Ready, Steady, Cook. I’m happy, but f*cking hell, talk about underwhelming. It isn’t a huge deal because I’ve got faith in the club’s ability to build a solid team, but if I was the supporter of another club, I’d be pointing and laughing. It’s like they’ve let the social media work experience lead on this one. An incredible gesture with the charities again though. Fantastic stuff.
  4. He took it last night. He posted when he got home from the meeting and congratulated Glasgow, but he was still met with one or two bitter responses. How do you know he stormed out of meetings? I’m not doubting you, but that’s a wild accusation from nowhere.
  5. What exactly is a “troll” in a forum sense, if you don’t mind me asking? He may be one, but from what I’ve saw, he has a few people on toast because he makes a tongue-in-cheek post and the response is outrage. I mean, let me put it into perspective; he was called-out multiple times during last night’s fixture and at one point, as Glasgow were on the brink of a league title victory, a fellow Tigers’ fan took the time to work out that Mr Shovlar hadn’t posted in the ‘Poole v Glasgow’ topic since page thirteen. Wow. The term “rent free” doesn’t even come close. That’s merely about that member, though. The name calling is the issue. It’s childish. This place has opportunity for debate everywhere, but resorting to calling someone a name - then the inevitable onslaught of back-up likes - takes that away.
  6. This place is mental. Honestly, I’ve never know so many grown adults to call one another names. It’s insane and I’ve been on the end of it. Poole will use last night as motivation. They won’t forget seeing Glasgow’s riders and staff celebrate around Wimborne Road, so I’ve no doubt they’ll be as competitive as ever next season. Celebrating without class is the sign of a poor winner, but I’m not just referring to this topic. I don’t know @Steve Shovlar, but even following his gracious acceptance of defeat, he was being goaded and questioned last night. A bit of class wouldn’t go a miss.
  7. That track would put me off purchasing a BSN season ticket. If Glasgow weren’t riding last night, I’d have switched it off. There must have been no more than two passes beyond the first lap.
  8. That’s disappointing, but it is what it is. A one-league merger is necessary even more so, in my opinion.
  9. I’m caught in two minds regarding Glasgow’s status next season. On one hand, there’s absolutely nothing stopping the club, but a significant volume of factors encouraging it to step-up a league. Then again, do Glasgow want to be a part of a league which consists of six or seven teams, at most? Can you imagine the buzz of the fixtures being released, but realising that between April and October, you’ll only face five or six other sides? Pardon my French, but f*ck that. I hope both leagues merge. Actually, I pray they do, but I won’t hold my breath. Also, could someone kindly explain to me the BSPA’s appetite for reducing the averages limit? I don’t understand or see the benefit in reducing it; surely the result is weaker sides, no?
  10. The Champions. Travelling home in style. Meanwhile, up the back of the flight…
  11. I hope the Facenna’s have booked the riders, officials and such an overnight in Poole. I’ve got visions of Ace Pijper, fully kitted in his race suit, trying get into a nightclub using Lee Complin’s ID.
  12. Do not let Chris Harris leave the district of Dorset without signing a contract for next season. Put his 3 year-old son at seven if it means a Harris remains a Tiger.
  13. Glasgow seem like a proper team. Brennan joking with Tarasenko, Complin having a laugh with Basso, Harris teasing Pijper, etc.
  14. That’s how bad that track is. The most entertaining rider in the country over the past 20+ years who’s passed more opponents than I’ve passed wind isn’t able to even attempt a pass on Worrall. Follow the leader, basically. How do you manage to make a track so bad?
  15. Now that it’s won and I won’t sound like I’m making excuses, this track is shocking. Who was the Poole fan who suggested the first leg wasn’t entertaining?
  16. To suggest Poole have been poor is a major discredit to Glasgow. As I said before the meeting; Glasgow spanked Oxford twice, won at Redcar and handed Poole their biggest defeat of the season on Monday. Meanwhile, Poole had a spa day of a play-off group.
  17. Finally, some speedway. Basso has been a disgrace. This is the grand final and your heat leader has ran two last places. Shocking.
  18. That’s a huge win 5-1 for Poole. A great race from the Cook midgets, sorry, brothers. Is Wimborne Road always like this? I’m enjoying the meeting because Glasgow are doing well, but this is dreadful Speedway. If you weren’t a Poole or a Glasgow fan and this meeting was in your back garden, you’d close the curtains.
  19. Anders Rowe sounds like he’s just awoken from brain surgery. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  20. That’s fantastic from Brennan; you cannot underestimate how professional a ride that is. That had heat advantage to Poole written all over it, but he’s smoked Cook. Superb, Glasgow.
  21. Steve Worrall: “They’ve got a few things going against them”. Glasgow:
