What average does Ivacic come in on, can't see why Ace was dropped if he is on a 5
-
Probably a mix of BSN being here, the weather and the Scottish school holidays starting affecting attendance.

As a fan I want the team in the top league, we have the facilities to do it, but if I was the promotion I don't know if I'd want to take the gamble. The Edinburgh fans will probably travel but you are gambling that other championship fans will travel consistently up especially on a week night. Monday/Thursday could also turn parents away who won't want to have their kids home late (we all know how long a Glasgow meeting can be), you know you have a fanbase for weekend racing but weekday racing is a question mark. Getting the likes of Basso and Tarasenko will draw fans but they will also demand more money, in fact all riders will probably demand more and how much does the TV deal cover that and how many fans will not come up if it is on TV. I personally think they should try it but it depends on how much the promotion is willing to spend and the risk that it doesn't work they are willing to take

Don't know how feasible Glasgow going up would be. Closest away track would be Belle Vue while there are 4 tracks in the championship closer meaning probably less travelling support. Also having to race on a Monday/Thursday may cut down on some home fans. Can the draw of the big riders offset less travelling away fans. And there will be increased rider costs on top. You'd also lose the Scottish derby. You might have some Edinburgh fans coming over but it'd be a big gamble.

British U21 Final

Dan Thompson the favourite but Hagon and Boughen have looked pretty fast found Ashfield as well. Flint has to make at least the semi final this year (really he should be making the final) being a home rider now. -

If we make changes now seasons far from over, only done 3 league matches so far and one of those was a win. Worrall would be top of the chopping block for me with Starke. -
Maybe their commentry was so far ahead they've already finished the GP and have went home
-
Think he'd need to use his converted premiership average which would be over 7 now, might be a struggle to fit him in
-
Maybe it's all an elaborate plan to get a team who'll drop their averages enough to fit the other Worrall in
-
Since he's ridden here before maybe Victor Palovaara? Might come in on a 5 depending on his sweedish average.
-
He is a good rider so I wouldn't be surprised if he does well. I think his indesision was part of the reason as he would have been a safe signing (and in hindsight a one we should have done) but he was in a bit of a slump at home (or maybe just inconsistent, can't fully remeber), only getting out of it when he got to ride at No2. I would guess that also factored into the desision because if the promoton believed in him they wouldn't have let him go as easily as they seemed to have done.

Getting Leon on a 6.40 was a big mistake as he was never going to get it much higher especially riding at Ashfield, to me more likely for it to drop, the only reason it did go up slightly was because he was always riding with Starke who to me was only signed because the promotion spent all their points on two riders who weren't going to improve. You need riders who aren't afraid to attack the track, Flint and Worrall (especially Worrall) won't, problem is I don't see the promotion dropping either. The only reason I can see them signing all Brits (and Pearson) is to save some pennies to give the top league a go next year. I actually wouldn't have signed Brennan this year, I think the form he is on now is due to not riding at Glasgow, to me he just couldn't quite understand the track and that was affecting him, happy to see him riding well though.
-
My only guess would be she got an average before the new rule kicked in. Maybe she inquired about her average last season but never ended up getting a team place but got to keep the average?
-
Some good riders in the U24 Polish League, you've got Francis Gusts and Emil Breum who might come in on a 5.00 since it doesn't look like they've qualified this year for a 6.00. Whether they'd want to is a differet question but a possibility.

Do you take the gamble and try and persuade a new rider from the continent over, hoping they would out perform their assessed average? Or even see if Marcin can commit for the full season. There must be at least one good rider over there.
-
Wanted Rowe at the start of the season so I wouldn't be too unhappy though would he be on a ~5.80 average which he would have been on if he started the season (i think) or a 6.45 converted average. Might be too big and poland could get in the way. U21 in a few weeks maybe someone there could be signed if they have a good showing (and arent unattached)? Might also wait for June averages to get that extra 0.5 limit? We're in a bit of an awkward spot for changes.
-
Think we need to use this as an excuse for a rebuild tbh, don't know who we can bring in though but that would decide who's dropped
-
Unfortunate as he was a good showman, no mentioned substance this time.

20 month suspension it is then

Workington v Glasgow 11/05/24 3pm (Ch)

I completely agree, but when some riders are struggling you should also expect your higher average riders to be picking up some of the slack, especially if you arent scoring in your 2 big rides in 13 and 15. -

If every rider scored their average the team would lose to be fair -

We made the mistake this season signing both Worrall and Flint on their high averages having already gotten Harris, I'd personally drop one of them with Starke and try get 2 strong 5ish pointers (if there are any left) but I don't see either getting dropped.
