Yes and Kurtz got up and rode two more heats. So he wasn’t unfit to ride was he. He might end up turning into a B.Cook if he pick and chooses what race to turn up to but always appears at the SGP. This is the problem with British speedway, no loyalty for the clubs. People can say “he needs to prioritise his SGP for his success and future” well do it then. And hopefully get dropped by the whole reason you’re even in the SGP…because clubs actually gave you a chance to learn your trade… so pay them back in loyalty!

You can say you want to bring in technology in regards to apps all you want but you need youngsters in the stadium first. My god people barely get up and clap a 5–1 at foxhall and it’s a sorry sight when half of them that would try would end up like doyley and out of action every other week with an injury! People get hooked on these programme but I go to watch the racing then quickly whip out the phone on the track grades and load up sportowefakty to look at live scores then get back to watching the meeting and celebrating when we get a 5-1, not grabbing a pen and noting down the score. Each to their own I guess, but a young crowd aren’t into that type of thing. If they have to focus on writing scores down they won’t bother and straight away get disinterested. Is it that much of a cost for witches to use the Electric Board on bend 3/4 to show scores and riders ?

At that point he hasn’t returned from injury though, same as Kurtz. But they both returned over the weekend and Doyle still tried on Monday, I guess your comment is flawed.

SGP Gorzow 2025
ShanoXtra replied to aarongaleuk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm heading over for this one, seeing the family and spending some time in Gorzow, still a lot of tickets for sale. How Stal have underwhelmed this season with the issues I've previously mentioned on other threads is shown by the amount of locals buying into this, hopefully the stadium is full for Saturday. Also given how long the decision was made when to put the tickets on sale due to the new sales team and delaying the release of sales for tickets has hit hard, I assume people looked at the start of the season where to go and earmarked their interests but with Stal not showing even confidence of restarting the 2025 season at the back end of this year it has been somewhere people would probably be put off due to the uncertainty. On a positive note for Stal, one fourth of the SGP line up, 4 out of 16 to anyone who lacks mathematics, is represented by the home team, Lebedevs, Vaculik, Thomsen and Paluch. This should give the Gorzow faithful something to cheer for after a poor season. Although the favourite will undoubtedly be the home boy Zmarzlik. -
No you missed my point, I said he shouldn’t have even turned up at the weekend. I.e shouldn’t have rode at SGP, was clear to see he wasn’t ready, what has an extra 3/4 points gained him in the series honestly over 2 GPs, I’d say it’s worked against him because he then had to ride last night which wasn’t the right call and again probably on the back foot for Gorzów due to aggravating his injury.

Leicester may well beat us here. Masters was riding like Emil and Doyle does at foxhall when he guested. If that Masters turns up again we will be in big trouble, our engineer room isn’t firing either so very close meeting. Doyle will be riding unless he gets injured AGAIN at the week in SGP or Ekstraliga. Dan must be almost back to fitness… he is scheduled to ride first week of July for SGP 2 as a wildcard so I assume that’s his return date planned.

Am I right in thinking in roughly 10 heats at the last two Lynn visits Ellis scored about 5 or 6 points… I thought he could ride that place? He has really fallen off a cliff recently, don’t know about any other witches fan but soon as I see King, Ellis and Brennan come out for any heat I don’t have a clue what I’m about to watch, they are so unpredictable at the moment.

He seems like a lovely lad and I have nothing against him but I hope he hasn’t already felt ‘he has made it’… I saw him practicing wheelies instead of starts the other day and getting his Mrs to video him for his social media and sometimes I do think when you have Doyle / Emil and other Grand Prix stars down at foxhall all in similar size ford customs van and then Brennan rocks up in a typical Polish kitted out van if he just loves to be a showman.

Sound like it’s a proper British speedway meeting with half of the teams not actually the own teams riders 😂 this one will be postponed no doubt somehow. -

Sheffield need to stop their bad away from in this one, especially if witches win away against Lynn. -
Comments like this are so stupid. So if you go off Polish averages why don’t you just have Zmarzlik and 15 British championship riders in the SGP and give up by your logic? To challenge you need a one off good night. You don’t need to be top of the averages in the Polish league do you. Zmarzlik is the top rider and everyone agrees with that it’s not even in doubt, but you need guys who can beat him on a track to be in the SGP which the Russians have. Not BS riders in the Grand Prix just because its brings a different demographic.
