Extraleague Round 12 Fri/Sun 18th/20th July
ShanoXtra replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Emil beat him the first time tonight and then Zmarzlik got upset and laid his bike down when Emil took him in another race. I think he needs a shot to show what he can do again! Just like what lambert said, Zmarzlik rides hard for others but didn’t play fair on that one. -

Emil showing why he should be in SGP, giving Zmarzlik something to think about all night and also lowering his colours. Not bloody Kai in SGP just to have a german representation. -

Statement from Poland: There, it turned out that the 25-year-old had suffered a serious injury, which practically meant the end of his season. "Luke suffered fractures of his thoracic vertebrae in the Th3, Th5 and Th7 sections. Fortunately, the player retains sensation and can move his legs, which means that the spinal cord was not severed," the Ostrów club said in an official statement. -

Apologises that’s right! Didn’t even realise it was GKM to be fair I only knew a team had a ban for away matches. -

Long drive for a Sunday evening! Away fans aren’t that well attended in Poland. Unless you get the top boys or local derby who don’t have to drive 6 hours. -

Gunna be a hard match for stał. Need to just keep it tight and hope for a few slip ups from GKM. -

My thoughts precisely on the night, I wonder if he didn’t get a red card would he ride again that night! Just saw the canal+ interview with Pedersen and my god did he not hold back about not caring about the bonus point and there are no friends in speedway! -
Ipswich prospering but are promotion missing a big opportunity? With Ipswich town on a rebuild of the club and a solid future in front of it, albeit taking a step back now to hopefully take two steps forward. Ed Sheeran flying the flag internationally for the town and three sold out shows at Portman Rd. Fabio Wardley pulling in 20k+ last night with a show stopper punch and putting Ipswich on the map globally again. All this being said, are the Witches missing a chance for a major cash in opportunity and riding the towns wave? Witches do normally get a good size crowd in comparison to other teams but how the town has been propelled forward in the last few seasons got me thinking, why aren’t Ipswich witches trying to put any kind of promotion near Portman Rd to capitalise on the chance, after all, the football and speedway have always been close to one another, only last year town had a footballer attend the media day at foxhall. I could be wishing but I think this is a perfect chance to get involved with how the town is moving forward.

Also, for further information. Kowalski & magic received red cards, this means a £1000 (5k zloty) fine. Bangs received yellow card for the crash, this means a £500 (2.5k zloty) fine. -

Anyone who is interested about the Friday night controversy with Kowalski… he was actually injured and couldn’t lift his bike to move it. A reoccurring hand issue flared up, he then tried to race for Poland the following day but pulled out after one race as his hand is now back in pain. insert: On the second bend of the inaugural race, Kowalski lost control of his motorcycle and fell onto the track. At that point, the Wrocław team was losing twice, and the rider himself – due to severe pain in his hand – was unable to get up from the surface or remove the motorcycle from the track. The referee, not seeing the rider's reaction, decided to stop the race and exclude the rider from the rerun. But that was not the end of it – the red card meant that the 23-year-old could no longer continue the competition. The day after the match, the athlete appeared in Rzeszów, where he was called up for a test match of the Polish National Team. He took part in one race, but right after the start he left the track, clearly sparing his injured hand. In this way, he confirmed that the health problem is still making itself felt. -
Back to Ipswich in 2-3 weeks, not back on the bike. He will ride in Manchester and probably Poland before Ipswich. Chris Louis is relaxed about this type of thing, being a rider he understands the pressure of Poland and importance of SGP. The position witches are in is good so he would rather give Doyle and Thompson all the time they need I’m sure.
