All I see from majority of BV fans on here this that they don’t attend the ‘qualifiers’ 😂 maybe you just need more loyal fans and not pick and choose ones 😉 you seem to have a lot to write ✍🏼

GP line-up and venues for 2026
ShanoXtra replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
How can they not afford to stage one? They agreed last year to only stage one. The decision wasn’t to stage two originally. Cardiff pushed them into a position to double book. -
What will 2026 UK speedway bring?

% would be sponsor % would be tickets % would be TV. % of the van, equipment would be written off for tax as well as self employed -

But the Oxford fans probably could afford but got sick of losing. That’s like saying people from London cant afford West Ham tickets… they can but they choose not to go due to the crap they watch. Nothing to do with affording anything. The same people probably go on holiday, go to other events, people can afford things but prioritise their money in things they prefer to do, unfortunately, and people seem to forget on this forum, people really don’t like speedway when you speak to them and they are aware of the sport, they see it as boring. That’s the sports fault, and not people lacking money to spend it. Create a better product and people will come. -
What will 2026 UK speedway bring?

Sorry am I losing the plot. The comment was Oxford paid for Gust’s equipment and vans etc. Oxford paid for it so they clearly can afford it as they didn’t go bankrupt? When you can’t afford something it means you can’t buy it. The fans went to the matches so they afforded the ticket… if your argument was can they spend the money better then maybe yes, but the argument they can’t afford is nullified due to the fact they did afford it, and finished the season without going bankrupt. -

In whose eyes? Oxford clearly felt they were getting a rider worth the money. He may have taken reduced payments for that fact, nobody knows his contract but everyone quick to comment. Oxford paying Magic and Tungate their large sums of money weekly was more of a robbery if you ask me. -

But who said “we” can’t afford it? Everyone is guessing. Oxford clearly felt they could afford it whilst running three clubs so let them live or die by their decision, it’s not up to us to decide what companies can and can’t spend their money on… If there is one league, Ipswich have lost Danny king as he has signed for Plymouth next year. -

Well that’s exactly the same as Parnitskyi for Leszno who got everything given to him because he is from Ukraine so what’s the problem with Britain doing it? -
To add, my number one highlight was to the detriment of Belle Vue (sorry BV fans). The 2023 semi final at Belle Vue heat 15 for Emil and Doyle to come through and win vs Bewley and Kurtz was unreal, not many pairs do that to them at Belle Vue! And hats off to Bewley and Kurtz because they made that race amazing to watch. Four laps of total madness with emotions everywhere! What a heat that was.

Thought I’d open up a chat if anybody wanted to say thanks to Emil, might end up sharing it with him so he can read some more nice messages over the winter, if anybody wants to share some highlights or best moments of him, lastly, I wanted to share what Chris wrote about him and how it wasn’t easy to get him. More like Chris in this sport needs to be brave and stand up, I think we know the FIM has failed us at this, It was such a difficult time for Emil and his family when he was left in the wilderness because of the war in Ukraine and I felt something needed to be done. “My work to allow Emil to race in the UK was not universally accepted and alienated me in some quarters, but it soon became apparent that he was going to be a hugely popular character, not only at Ipswich, but up and down the country

But lose all your SGP stars in doing so, does that really lead to bigger crowds? I think people are a bit naive to think going to win league and running speedway of a different day would bring back bigger crowds. You wrote the other day you didn’t see any of the listed promotional pushes that Belle Vue have tried so why would one league and Belle Vue riding on a different day attract more people? Promotion is the problem or maybe just the fact people aren’t interested in speedway. People need to wake up to the situation I think

Totally get your response and you could even through Oasis into the mix when talking about icons and backing your own, I just referenced that on here as I don’t think those football clubs United and City would ever support the speedway like town does the witches. That’s why I put Manchester football is too big probably and doesn’t notice the aces, although I apologise if they have been involved with walking out at the stadiums etc too! (Again, this isn’t a dig at anyone on here for saying we are better) it was just to say well done to all of Ipswich.
-
At the football last night seeing how the crowd applauded both witches and Fabio just shows how this town backs its own. Not to blow smoke up our own but what other town / city does it like Ipswich? You can say Manchester has the better football teams for sure… but Ipswich town / witches / Fabio and even Edd really does back the town and brings you to feel proud of being from Ipswich which hasn’t been the case in so many previous decades. People from Ipswich should be so proud of the entire success of Ipswich.

Was a nice touch to see Fabio and the witches together celebrating at Portman Rd at half time last night, lucky I didn’t go to the toilet and miss it as I wasn’t aware they were coming out 😆

I would love to see an ‘outside of the box’ option and finally get one season with Emil’s replacement as Zmarzlik, Louis tried in 2024 but schedules didn’t suit. Fresh start to a season to plan? Likelihood… 99% no. But Louis does think out of the box and isn’t afraid to splash the cash to bring the public in, he knows how deflated the fans will be after seeing Emil go and those heat 13/15 won’t hit the same, but bringing a multi world champion in to replace, now that would bring intrigue to the sport to see how he would ride in Britain and his dominance. Highly unlikely but I’d love to see that kind of move pulled when the riders are announced!

I wrote many week before that Stal will ride next year and have secured the money, you wrote a comment which was old, I knew before you wrote your comments the facts for next year and I addressed the situation. Your apology is accepted. On other news, Jabłoński looks to now return to Leszno as they have re called him for 2026 season. -

Back to 2023 it is ! 😆
-
If Jack Holder comes. I promise I’ll support Kings Lynn 😂
-
Maybe not, but I’m assuming Richie knew this outcome earlier in the season and thought he would blood Brennan into the number 5 position incase needed next year. Has British speedway got something to do with it and rules and regs next year or is this just a perfect time for Emil to leave on a high.
-
Next year, with how British speedway is all over the place, and now this news, it already feels like a crap year and it hasn’t even started yet!
-
Emil has bid farewell to Ipswich and British Speedway tonight… thank you Emil for everything! 🏆

No they have a licence pending, they have it secured. I can tell you that from inside the club, not a FB post.
