First time this season I watched a meeting on BSN at Poole… and I heard people moaning about premiership tracks being gate and go ! Really poor to watch but I guess that’s the home advantage so can’t knock it too much… Morris with the only race to actually get me sitting upright and really interested ! I’m sure in Poland it’s only a warning for your body to touch the tapes and not an exclusion as I’ve seen it this season happen!

Not after watching them demolish the Aces 😉 I’m more worried about just watching a final tbh in a woolly hat and thermals 😂

If it’s a wet October from start to finish does Ipswich win the league from league position? Genuine question…

I wonder the difference between TNT and BSN and if the latter would have given it more time… oh well, decision made so such is life.

Anyone live near Leicester and can say how bad the weather is today out of curiosity?

I don’t mind making myself look silly because majority of other people do as well… unless you’re perfect 😉 !

I understand what you say but my argument is that you push meeting to October and you’re asking for more issues in Britain, also, the difference from casual supporters turning up when the weather is bearable vs October freezing there arse off is night and day, this could impact the amount of people bothering to turn up and instead watching on TV in the warmth.

Ipswich won’t run a Thursday night, they only run on Monday bank holidays so naturally Leicester will get the Monday at home and Ipswich will end up with Thursday before hand for the first leg. Absolute shambles once again from Speedway, they will put it down to the weather and take no responsibility about sorting out more fixtures in summer months. We’ve had hardly any rain offs this summer so it would have been perfect to get more done, but we wait until crap weather comes in September and also try to cram it between the Toruń SON which starts in September as well. Add on top of that the fact the league didn’t even finish on time shows how much of a joke it really is.

100% agree. This will be a snowball effect for Ipswich as well and all of a sudden Leicester has home advantage in semi final and final for coming 3rd. This about sums up British Speedway.

With Leicester now postponing tomorrow night semi final due to weather and the first leg now at Sheffield on Thursday, does this mean the final will be pushed and Ipswich has lost the chance to lift the trophy at Foxhall? If so, the league and speedway in this country is a joke altogether.

B.Cook showed last year he can cope in the top league, Zengota has previous experience, Parnicki should be a good asset but can’t be their number one in the top league, Picko I would be concerned about in Ekstraliga. They need a couple of big hitters I’d say to be confident of survival.

Can anyone defend the SGP decision to have Kai in the series when he can’t even win races in the second league in Poland.

It’s been full house in the league when they faced Bydgoszcz too.

Whether it happens or not for me, MJJ (now confirmed) Dudek, Emil, Łaguta would make it considerably stronger, drop Kai, Kvech, Vaculik and Anders, I would also as an actual wildcard (not just the merry go round of riders classed as wildcard) add in Drabik. Just try something slightly different. My line up: Zmarzlik Kurtz Bewley Lindgren Holder Lebedevs Lambert Madsen Woryna Kubera MJJ Dudek (qualified or wildcard) Emil (Wildcard) Łaguta (Wildcard) Doyle or Drabik (Wildcard) - Doyle may well believe it’s beginning to slow down in his career as he has signed for M.2 Krosno team so maybe he can re qualify officially for SGP 2027.

I would choose Doyle also. I know I’m a witches fan so easy to say but he is someone who never fails to give 100%. He crashed out of Warsaw, missed Prague, was injured but still tried to race in x2 Manchester GPs and was still only 16 points off qualification (Lambert 7th).

Emil was on record on Polish TV saying he wouldn’t want to come under a Polish flag and take a position of a Polish rider. Although most would agree he is better than majority of them!

Unlucky Aces, started decent and thought we were in for a long night but we turned it round after heat 8 and kept the foot down to get the job done. Tough conditions for both riders early on and not as big crowd as I expect but weather might had played a part. I want to mention this though… my Polish mother in law came over and she has a close friend who was diagnosed with cancer recently, and she has an operation next month. Her favourite rider is Bewley so today after the meeting we waitied to see if he would give us a minute of his time. He was very polite and listened to the story of her friend, he put his bags down and wrote a message out directed to her, wishing her all the best and signing it. For me, it’s something he didn’t have to do especially after that meeting and not the best performance but he was still willing to be a kind human to help another out and make her day. I wished him all the best for the weekend and off he went, sometimes you can get caught up in the racing but these guys are just humans like us and whether Ipswich won or lost tonight I would remember that gesture of kindness over speedway. Whatever the result good luck to both teams and both sets of supporters. Been a good year! If it finishes for us this season (I hope not) I’ve enjoyed it!

One thing is certain, dry or not, it was be cold at 14 degrees and when that sun drops over the trees it feels so much colder even on a nice summers day!
