I don’t think he is committed to ride for Ipswich either 😂

Lawson has been kicked from his Polish club, Kraków for poor performance. Although Lawson tried to get the news out first on his social media page that he chose to leave the club, but, in fact, it was actually the club who have let him go… according the Krakow President.

I think I’m at the point with speedway now where I don’t care about home advantage. I think the best possible track prep for overtaking should be undertaken for each race. I would rather see multiple overtakes and great racing than gate and go and the home team wins. If you are a good enough team you should be able to win on whatever track if it’s prepared correctly and for racing. -
Put it this way, Stal are hopeful for Jack to be back in the starting line up vs Falubaz. Whether he comes straight back to the UK riding or maybe he will give it a week or two we don’t know.

How does everyone get punished for one team being relegated? -

This is my point though, next year Lawson, Harris, masters, even cooper and cairns and many more won’t be able to ride in both the prem and champ which will create an easier way to then have cup matches etc because you won’t have people in theory riding for both clubs potentially. You could have a British cup instead of just a league cup and incorporate all the British clubs in one cup. That would also force Poole and Glasgow and others to jump to the prem as they won’t have a good selection of riders in the champ. -

I agree with you, I know also it’s a pipe dream and the only thing that would make it reality would be big sponsorship deals plus prize money for being in and win in the top league, respectively. Next year will be massive and Poland have a giant part to play. If they uphold their decision that only a rider can race in Poland plus one league (not country) then a lot of riders in the championship will have big decisions of what league to ride in as it may force their hand. If that happens then Poole and Glasgow will have a big decision regarding to stay in a watered down champ or move to the prem with potential TV money. Richard is clearly trying to move the sport this way and get the Prem as the so called “promise land”. If this happens and you can stabilise it, then maybe, just maybe, promotion and relegation can be the next move. Where teams fear for relegation and loss of income and champ teams dream of promotion and financial gain. -

One league won’t make it better. What you really need to bring in new fans is two leagues which promotion and relegation. The sport needs jeopardy and punishment for finishing last. -

Not many people to be honest, lowest crowd I’ve seen for a while. Saw Chris Louis in the balcony of the VIP on the way out, wonder what he thinks watching this season! I mean he partly created this weak team if we are being totally honest. -

The first four heats I thought I was watching an NDL meeting. Shockingly slow and like watching juniors going round the corners. Only Tobi and to be fair Brennan who really hit the ground running to start. Scotty did decent but he normally does at Foxhall. Edward’s good and then bad but in a 7 then you’d take that. Pedersen’s progress was amazing from his first race to his third so he just needs time. Brennan started good then fell off a cliff again, I don’t know if it’s rider or setup but something just isn’t right. All in all, dead atmosphere, average racing and decent weather. -

That’s not true though. In Poland if you don’t have a sick note from a doctor, like Lawson hasn’t, then you get a heavy fine and potential further punishment because Ekstraliga also punishes the club financially for not adhering to their official line up. His failure to attend the track at Leicester, even when the management asked him to, would see him almost kicked from the team in Poland and trust me the fans would not be as forgiving as British fans are, they would be booing and whistling him in the next match. -

For anyone interested: Magdalena Ciszek-Kozłowska, is the new stal managing director, as of June this year. Why is that important information?… because she was the former co-founder and long term president of the company Promet Cargo, which supports the Gorzow club, and she is a long term and close friend of Zmarzlik and his family. She wishes to bring him back to the club soon. Today is the first day in many years Zmarzlik has taken to the Stal Gorzow track for ‘training’.

Serious actions for Ipswich management is required. They pulled the trigger on Pedersen for PHB, so it shows they aren’t afraid to make decision. I personally feel Scotty and Lawson need to go. Don’t know if either of these can come in but Ellis and Rew would fit the witches and start to feel like we have our team back. This season is awful and feels like a bunch of individuals. After last season, and yes I know a lot of crap went on in the winter, but we lost our team. Keep king, Brennan, Edwards, and I like pedersen and certainly Tobi. But now Lawson has to be removed from this team. Scotty has been there for us throughout so this isn’t a dig at him but even he knows he cant be competitive away from Foxhall which is sad but a reality. This isn’t a retirement fund club, you want people on seats, sort this team out or risk losing more fans.

I get that he can ride in the champ but he won’t. There is no way he will add the championship to his season now. He will probably see it as a step back, he has just been unfortunate that things didn’t go well at Bydgoszcz this season, it’ll be a reset at the end of this season and go again with a different Polish club in M.2
-
He is still under contract with Bydgoszcz and needs to attend each match still, whether in the line up or not.
-
It’ll be when Lawson swaps with him in positions. Lawson will be number one next time around with averages. Bydgoszcz isn’t helping his confidence.

Bednar is not racing for Stal today. He rode well yesterday but spoke today that he woke up in pain and not well enough to ride. @racers and royals you wanted to know last match how frustrated the Gorzow fans were but last match they were not. I can tell you today the fans have not taken well to this news and they are unimpressed, pushing Bednar to write the statement due to the blacklash for the decision.
