Leicester v Ipswich 17th April

Again… whole team brining in points and no one being a passenger! Good strong away win! Certainly more enjoyable than last time we were at Leicester! -

Premiership Playoffs 2025
ShanoXtra replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Worst decision. You want people to pay to see the best, the crowd levels are due to the amazing teams, Belle Vue should have been allowed Ben cook back and let the teams build to be amazing. Not all average. Raise the points, some of the lower teams can’t get decent riders because of the promotion or money, so why would a GP rider from another good team want to go to them. -

I think the stumbling blocks could be Becker and Douglas beating King and Ellis. Although, Thompson and Jenkins will back the guys up with good points and Doyle and Emil shouldn't be as bad as at Birmingham. Close match and good to watch but Witches to win by 6 or 8. -
He always looks and sounds miserable. Although he is riding out of his skin in this meeting! Surprised the crowd is so poor. I know it was weather pushing it from yesterday to today but still.

Ipswich v Oxford Thursday 10th April
ShanoXtra replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Better on paper? That insinuates they aren’t good in reality, they are just better for a fact, not on paper. Look at the table! Walked over Belle Vue home and away, everyone assumed that would be a good match up and they got completely done. I do think Magic should have been allowed a re-run from when he fell on the first bend. The meeting didn’t have much riding on it at that point and another 5-1 to Ipswich seemed slightly underwhelming against only gusts. -

How this forum shows the bitterness of other teams is hilarious 😆 Ipswich built to the limit of points. We would have walked it last year as well and even other team managers admit that. Crowds are brilliant. Atmosphere outstanding. Last year the track was “awful” and now it’s a fair playing field with a better track we win by bigger margins! Lastly, people stop saying it’s gate and go. Ellis done a stunning outside overtake and Thompson done the best cut back from last to second on the first bend. It’s painful I know… but just admit teams aren’t up to it at foxhall. Oh sorry we’ve beaten everyone away as well -

If no injuries or bike issues, contrary to what I’ve said before about 60+ being not every week… I think looking at the line ups this could be high 50s / low 60s for Witches -

Are you ok? Any sportsperson can get complacent when constantly winning and therefore think they can turn up and just win. All teams have said we are the strongest so that can bring complacency in itself, I was not referencing what you wrote at all. I haven’t even said we are complacent, I simply stated it can creep in at any point. You show your knowledge of sports by the last post about if one team beats one, and we’ve beaten the first team, then we will easily win, sport isn’t that simple -

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see it every week! I just think people will have off nights, it’s hard to keep constant 5-1s, teams will get better as the season goes. We have a strong, strong team, I just think we need to keep realistic and stop thinking we are going to batter everyone, complacency can kick in when you turn up thinking no you’ve already won. -

Emil and Doyle will be better than Monday and I’d expect the engineer room to slightly improve. Jenkins and Thompson can always add the extra points clearly so looking very positive! Personally I’d love to see Magic score double figures, he is really a good guy and comes across very well, he has come back to British speedway and I’d like to see him score some big points so he feels like he is improving and comes back to these shores constantly. We won’t batter teams 65+ often if ever again this season… I don’t think, id be hoping for 52-38 to the witches 🧙 -

Doyle jumping on Jenkins bike and winning was brilliant!! Thompson was my rider of the night again, that guy is really coming on strong, having 5-1s with Emil and Doyle is great to see! -

Ipswich v Belle Vue 27th March KOC 2nd leg

Emil went though both your top boys and king took Tate, your riders weren’t willing to risk anything that’s all! Guess we wanted it more -

Mark Lemmon just can’t handle Belle vue got battered… by IpSH!T! Brilliant night, good turn out in crowd numbers and the boys produced. Personally I don’t rate bloedorn, Z cook or Lidsey as a good enough to win you a title. Not trying to sound harsh but I think Kings Lynn are a better side than Belle vue this season and will give us more problems. I’d say top four are us, Sheffield, Lynn and maybe Belle vue? Leicester might want a say in that. If Bewley and Kurtz have off nights you aren’t winning any meetings. Also like to point out now we have upgraded the track and beaten the current champions by a battering, what are people going to use as an excuse now -

You’ll miss the trophy being presented for the cup this year that’s for sure :)! Aces weren’t bad, just Ipswich were better Doyle and Emil well off it so when they get warmed up you will be in trouble ! -
Belle Vue v Ipswich March 24th KOC
ShanoXtra replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Great result for the whole team, Doyle and Emil must be happy that the pressure is slightly off them to constantly get double figures. All teams will have highs and lows so I won’t get too excited. Kings Lynn are a dark horse IMO and I can’t wait for the derby days! I expected a bigger crowd at Belle vue watching on TV, interesting to see what Ipswich gets at home, I am aware England played so maybe some watched football instead on TV. Anyway… speedway won last night! Great races and really good passing. Good luck all teams for a great season! -
Yeah I was thinking the same. I hope either doesn’t get pushed aside and forgotten about.

Nice rant but Gorzow and Torun both have roofs. And yes, i'm aware Torun isn't in the GP this year!
