  1. If its a quater of the odds for 1 2 3 Andersen most be a good each way bet.
  2. On our way back from the disaster weekend we made up this song. To the tune of Mc Arthurs Park. IMG's plans are in the dark Ole Olsen's world is crashing down Some-one left the shale out in the rain Theres now way that he can take it His machines just could not rake it And they will never have the GP there again Oh no.
  3. Unless the other riders can raise their game Nicki without major injury should be capable of more championships. Good luck to him if that is the case.
  4. Hi Andy, if you go onto Speedway World TV and click on corperate you get a contact box for e-mails. I have tried them twice without a reply, usually they answere but not this time yet.
  5. After all the crashes he has had this year, after all the booing at Cardiff, after still carrying the guilty verdict on most fifty fifty incidents, he comes out as World Champion. Wish I could be that focused on things. My hope is he gets three on the trot to join Ivan and gold bike maybe. The other half and I would just like to say that we find it difficult to dislike any of the riders and hope that they all come back stronger for next year.
  6. With the risk of being battered verbally or otherwise, we love the social side of the GP's and like Janey2 we had a great weekend.
  7. The whole problem seems to me that no matter how many things came together to make the track building imposible, why would Olsen or IMG or BSI not bother about the state of the shale before hand. Why could they not have had it covered or at least employed someone to keep an eye on things, surely the shale is one of the most important for any GP. Why are the BSI only offering a free ticket to to three of the named venues for next year, surely they could have let the fans have a ticket for any of the GP series. What about the fans who travelled without tickets knowing that they would be able to purchase on the day. What gesture of good will is being offered to them. Why did they have to have Bydgoszcz for this week, it would no doubt have been better for all concerned to have a little more time to be able to plan things.
  8. Poor old Tony Millard can you imagine next years commentary for the GP’s. In red we have Rune Jonsson the Norwegian Pole riding on a Swedish Licence, no sorry Andreas Holta the Swedish Norwegian, riding on a Polish licence
  9. I would welcome the idea of Wroclaw returning to the GPs in the future as the city is a great place to meet up. Maybe the new stadium will have a speedway track?
  10. Last year stayed at Essen at one of the IHG hotels, we found Essen fine. Went to the Court Yard after the meeting cus friends were stopping there, the place was rammed and we had a good time, the only problem was having to have a taxi back to Essen, cost about £20.
  11. The Marriott coutyard, not to far from the stadium to get a drink cus there aint much chance of getting a lot of beers in the stadium.
  12. Hi Volt, I haven't missed a Cardiff yet and don't want to miss any in the future. We manage to go to a few of the GP's each year and find the social side as good as the racing. It really is great to meet so many fans and so many now have become good friends. We travelled to many PL league and EL league tracks last year and also visited Scunthorpe when they were CL and most of the fans were really friendly. So I hope you have a great 09 with not to many rain off's when you visit.
  13. Bjarne and Leigh were certainly unlucky and that was because of the refs decisions. As for Nicki deliberatley falling have you not thought that he stood the chance of jeopardising any of the points from either race. Staying down is something most of the riders do, why so that their mechanics can get their bikes sorted for the re-run and that has come about since the tight sceduals of the TV coverage. All four back would have been the best in my humble oppinion. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few GP's if Nicki was cheating will some of the other rides start dropping their bike on the first bend?
  14. We go on Thursday morning, be a shame to miss the competition.
  15. Its great news for us as I hate driving down to Stansted.
  16. Thanks' Mark, I think the plane might be best even if dearer having to leave it late booking wise.
  17. Does anyone ever drive to Prague? we may well be going but I won't be able to book a flight till much nearer the date.
  18. How about the coincidence that Nicki won two last year and became champ this year. AJ did the same this year so it may be him next year. I don't mind who wins so long as the racing is good.
  19. Bydgoszcz probabaly is the best for racing, the flights are easy, Stansted to Bydgoszcz, you need to be quick to get a hotel place but there are a good few options. The stadium is in easy walking distance from the city centre. Krsko is good for both the GP and a short break, a wonderful Country with beautiful scenery, it's best to hire a car. We fly to Ljublajna drive to Hotel Terme spa resort, the track is about five miles away. Again the flights are from Stansted. Hope that helps.
  20. Shame about the track but the social side of the trip was brilliant. Oh and a special thanks, to the polite and courtious German people for making us welcome.
