  1. What a lot of people seem to miss is the fact that the BSPA is simply made up of each of the individual track promotions....when a promoter complains about the BSPA they are generally complaining about themselves.
  2. As explained previously, the team represents the British ACU who are not responsible for Northern Ireland, so the UK would be incorrect...all a bit messy.
  3. If the standard is deliberately diluted to game the system, the body responsible for sponsoring the visas should alter their criteria to take this into account.
  4. Well from what has been written, two of the four you mention were available and interested in taking part in the series but were overlooked by BSI when they came to selecting the final four places.
  5. I believe I covered that in my earlier post. I can imagine scenarios where this could be entirely valid. I couldn't comment on the details of this case, but if there is a valid medical certificate provided for today then I don't think there is much that can be done.
  6. I would suggest that we don't have the correct facility. Guests are a terrible solution and they are a solution that allows exactly this type of manipulation. That is not necessarily a true statement. I have no specific knowledge of the medical details in this particular case but I can certainly imagine scenarios where an injury may require regular rest days. Racing one or two days in a row may be OK but pushing it beyond that without rest could be too much. Again, I am not suggesting that this is the case with Janowski, just that it IS possible in some cases. Making a sweeping generalisation that if you are fit one day you must be fit the next day is far from accurate. If a doctor has signed a rider off as unfit to race on a particular day, that has to be accepted. No-one at the BSPA is qualified to argue against the medics.
  7. Just a thought...They could always introduce a squad system instead of teams relying on hundreds of guest appearances every year.
  8. Not really anything that can be done if Janowski has a valid medical certificate stating that he is unfit to race tomorrow.
  9. Assuming you mean the SEC Challenge Final and not the actual 4 Final rounds, it is the 30th of May in Lendava. Doh - Too slow, Ghostwalker already in there with the information whilst I was typing
  10. Yep...both of those look more interesting than what was on offer tonight!
  11. Wow...the "trophies" were as bad as the racing.
  12. The tapes seem to be working well though...that's something
  13. Riders are clearly struggling, with regular ruts being hit...This surely can't continue and must be called off!!
  14. More than might have been expected after what was provided there last year!
  15. His crash was on Wednesday in Denmark so obviously just had 1 day off!
  16. What are the rituals that you are referring to there? If it's riders being in the habit of looking to where the magnets are, as you suggested with the Jason Doyle story earlier, surely a green light could be placed on the inside and outside of the track where the starting gate normally is and it is a minimal change for them.
  17. If the track condition should not have caused the abandonment then the responsibility for it surely lies squarely on the shoulders of Jim Lawrence, Tony Steele and Andrzej Grodzki as they are the ones that decided it was unfit to continue.
  18. Yeah, good for Chris offering to let down his club to race in a meaningless challenge match abroad!
  19. Oh please tell me that we aren't trying to shift the blame to the fact that they have practice...If that is the outcome of any "investigation" it will be completely unacceptable. I'm sorry but somebody needs to be held responsible for the monumental f*** up I paid to witness in Warsaw.
  20. I can't answer the question but I can say that Cook hasn't been overlooked. He is racing in Lonigo tomorrow.
  21. He went back to Poland after a short spell in America and did his time in jail.
  22. Why is that so shocking? It's pretty standard for volunteers to work at motorsports events. It even happens at F1 events...
  23. Do we still have dreams of lifting the Scottish Cup? I thought we had all just accepted that it was never going to happen again!
  24. If ever you need proof that lessons are NOT learned in the GP series, you just need to look at the start gate problems. A few seasons ago there were issues with the start gate and for the next few rounds they had someone watching to ensure the tapes rose evenly...but that was forgotten about after a few rounds of perfect tapes and so the next time there is a problem we are faced with the complete farce we saw on Saturday night. A race being declared a result despite the fact that there were clearly problems with the gate was a complete and utter joke. However, that pales into insignificance to some of the other comedy events that Phil seems to be telling us.... The referee didn't want to exclude a rider but allowed a race to start without him?? PMSL!!! No-one considered that it might be a bit loud in the stadium with 53,000 fans in there??? PMSL!!!
  25. Why not? World Cup eligibility is based on passport not racing license.
