  1. Er no? Thorrsell is not absent due to an FIM meeting so no guest allowed. Fair???? Possibly not, but them's the rules.
  2. I particularly 'liked' the way a certain rider looked round very pointedly to make sure nobody was near him before artlessly dropping it on the third bend.
  3. Given how limited the options would be it's a moot point. King? Nicholls? Grajczonek?
  4. You are deluded. It was clearly a very small proportion of the crowd who cheered those falls.
  5. Oh grow up. We all know perfectly well the reaction would be the same if Lindgren or Masters fell at Belle Vue. A few people would cheer out of relief at seeing the home team gain an advantage - not out of malice. And if you think those were the biggest cheers you must have a hearing problem.
  6. Just bring your own tyres next time! Despite the delay a pretty good afternoon in the end. Thought Michael Breckon did a good job of keeping the meeting going.
  7. Start delayed due to lack of tyres. Hope they finish before my 4 hours in car park is up.
  8. Scottish Speedway Museum http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=55984 Steve Luxton's Garage Mahal http://www.speedwayplus.com/NewMahal.shtml and at Broxbourne the Paradise Park National speedway museum https://www.pwpark.com/national-speedway-museum
  9. Promoters are NOT the cause of every single problem in speedway. However they generally seem ill equipped (both in skills and resources) to respond to those that they are not responsible for. Most are doing the best they can in a difficult situation.

  11. So your argument is: Cowley was effectively a 'neutral' track Oxford lost twice to Reading on this 'neutral' track Therefore Oxford were better than Reading
  12. No points carried forward [source: Speedway Star: 1/4/17]
  13. Racers had More wins, more bonus points and more race points - I'm struggling to follow Steve Roberts' argument. Basically Oxford could have won the league if only Reading weren't so good that they won at Oxford - TWICE. [and the A match was won by seven, not one or two or three but seven] I do have some sympathy with Grand central though - the KO cup win was down to the team manager after the riders lost the semi on track.
  14. Still looking 4 a lift from station to track (I have a lift back). If anyone could help I'd be grateful.
  15. I've spent the last hour trying to remember where and when this took place as I thought it was a relevant precedent. Thanks
  16. Neil Watson has correctly stated the position. It is a matter of fact. Whether you chose to believe it is up to you. However it remains a fact. Think of it like football where the ball hits the side netting and the ref erroneously awards a goal. NO MATTER HOW CLEAR THE VIDEO EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY, THE GOAL STANDS.
  17. Of course the FA would never do anything as ludicrous as this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/fa_cup/544737.stm
  18. The two minute clock was visible on the start line and the exclusion light for TM went on the instant it reached zero. There is no doubt whatsoever that he was excluded under two mins and not withdrawn from the meeting. I suspect that this mistake happened because like most of us at this meeting Chris Gay had rather lost the will to live by then.
  19. That really is a tremendous achievement given the troubles of last year and their status as outsiders this year. Very much against the odds even if they did cause Ghostie a few palpitations in the early stages this evening.
  20. To give the discussion about prices some context: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37985286 £19 for Aldershot v Solihull Moors last Saturday
  21. or did you mean to add them to the list?
  22. You may recall an instance last year where Sam Masters was sat in the Craven Suite at Belle Vue watching Wolves operate R/R for himself after there had been an early rain-off of the Edinburgh fixture. There was an outcry on the BSF over this - ludicrous everyone said. So this year we have seen the practice change and there have been examples of riders slotting back into their original riding position after rain-offs elsewhere. Yesterday's Lambert decision seems consistent with that. Yes Newcastle were 'lucky' that Lambert was rained-off, but if Embelton had ridden I'm sure Redcar would happily have taken the 3/4 points without focusing on how 'lucky' they were to catch Newcastle without a facility for Lambert. The issue here is (given Perks got back) how did we get to the point where Lambert gives priority to Poland over Newcastle (and how can Diamonds fans complain about Holder's absence for Peterborough last month with a straight face).
