I've never been overly impressed by Sam Hagon, but having see the way he flew past Rowe, Zac Cook and Tobias Thomsen on Saturday and the way he came back from a poor start on Sunday [which speaks to his mental strength] I am rapidly upgrading my view of him.

It is totally unrealistic to expect bigger attendances for NDL matches. The equivalent competitions in Denmark, Sweden often pull in double figure crowds and Poland isn't much better. Other sports have very little fan interest in reserve and youth teams. Why should speedway be so different?

Fans want to see their team win. That means home wins, so the optimum result would be a narrow home win. Keeps KL fans happy and gives Spires fans grounds for belief a home win is just around the corner. Personally I'd be quite content with a 60-30 away win [some hope]

Utter rubbish. Do you think that 1,1,1,1,1 =5 and being on the wrong end of 5 5-1s is as good as 1,1,1,1,1 = 5 and beating five opponents? All that really matters is how many opposition riders have been beaten. In the example above, that has generated so much heat and so little light, all three riders had beaten six opponents in their first four rides making their contributions equally valuable.

I'm pretty sure there were a lot of similar sentiments being expressed at Leicester when they picked up their fourth wooden spoon in 5 years back in 2018. What I find irritating about this mindset is that it is an attempt to silence criticism, no matter how constructive. [You will see similar on the Spires socials too]
