Masters had the highest average (official fixtures exc bonus) of any rider in the Premiership last season bar Jason Doyle.
How the hell is he not a number one?
Another thing that makes the Poole offer attractive is that near certainty of extra meetings as they are pretty much nailed on for the play-offs most seasons
Most of the difference in their Championship scores was down to Hume riding half his matches at reserve.
Very little t9 choose between them, I'd be happy to have either of them in any team I supported.
And Doyle is so frequently quoted because he is the EXCEPTION to the general rule. Mentioning his name does nothing to disturb the well established fact that riders generally improve with age and so it is perfectly reasonable to assume that a 19 year old with a 7 point average is likely to be better than a 23 year old. with a lower average.
Both Cook's and Flint are good prospects (but nothing like as hot as Gusts, Przeymski, Kvech or Blodorn).
Looking at their 2022 results there is little to split Bellego and Ellis, so given that Bellego could end up a heat leadercat Ellis' expense I don't see how you can consider him to weak as a second string.
Remember Bellego rides in the Polish Ekstraliga which is more than you can say for most Premiership heatleaders.
This statement is incorrect. Your source is unreliable.
Brady Kurtz was assessed at 5 because he rode in the DSL (equivalent of the Premiership). Zischke has not ridden in the DSL.
Did some digging:
VAL DE GUYENNE (speedway - shale laid on former grass surface) 14.08.22 Inauguration Trophy
1. Steven Goret (4,4,4,4,4,4) 24 2. Hynek Ć tichauer (3,4,4,3,4,3) 21 3. Theo Pijper (4,3,3, 2,3,2) 17 4. Julien Cayre (4,2,1,3,2,1) 13 5. Ace Pijper (2,3,4,4,3,0) 16
I'm in agreement with you. But how will Brennan/Mountain/Hume's rolling averages work in 2023?
After (say) 6 matches will they:
1) stay on starting average because in effect they have 'assessed' averages
2) have a GSA based on last 4 of 2022 and 6 from 2023.
3) have a GSA based on the six 2023 matches and 75% of the points scored from the 4 remaining 2022 matches?
He was never bang average.
He had one good month then for the rest of the season was woeful. [35 points from 44 rides in his last 12 matche for Plymouth,, never scoring more than 5]
Which is made up of his 6 Scunny appearances (30 rides 42 pts) this year plus his last 4 matches for Newcastle in 2021 (21 rides 30 points)
72/51*4 = 5.65 QED
