  1. OneSport are as equally as useless at confirming events as the BSPA are at confirming averages. I don't know how many emails that are unread in their inbox, but at least 5 from me.
  2. Anything? Some of us are planning holidays around this!
  3. I'm not sure Howarth is ready to be a #1, not sure Bjerre is. Improvers in Bates, Shanes & maybe Smith. Wright is steady enough. Kurtz.... hmmm. yet to be convinced. Who are Tigers expecting to win heats 13 & 15 at Owlerton? Yet alone away from Sheffield.
  4. I am not a poet but.... I do not agree, shame about the other 3 Regardless.
  5. I haven't done the math but Proctor over THJ?
  6. The sad fact is, British Speedway cannot entice enough riders to ride on those shores, to form a single tier of professional racing. Doubling up riders are cheaper. Sadder still, British riders are struggling to be good enough to find employment on the continent, so riding two leagues suits them.
  7. But so was Vaculik, who is now 8. Apparently.. If the BSPA were capable of publishing facts, this sport would not be in the mess it is in. The uncertainty certainly erks me allot.
  8. I doubt Pawlicki would have been as expensive as Lindgren. He is not a GP rider anymore, so I see no reason why he shouldn't come back on his 7.32 2014 average. Would have reveled in proving himself as a #1 in a league. Would have been a much better option than Thorsell & Masters & Schlien.
  9. If that is the 2018 Lions I think it will take some beating, just because of mixture of riders. I have been trying to find riders where the 0.6 spare could be better utilised, but I'm struggling. In terms of experience you have enough knowledge in GB racing from King & Andersen to pass on. All Vaculik & Pieszczek have to do is go out there and be as fast as they can, winning as many heats as they can. Even if Pieszczek struggles early on, having him at reserve with Newman & Bates in the team is far from disastrous.
  10. Hans Andersen's recent tweet didn't seem like him leaving Poole was of his choice. A rider worth much more than his average IMO, Poole loss is very much Leicesters likely gain.
  11. Why on Earth would England not wish not stage it? Wait... It is crappy pairs event... No one likes them. SWC could have a very simple formula. Event 1. 4 Team Tournament. Great Britain - Hosts. Germany Latvia Czech Republic Top 3 to race off. Event 2. 4 Team Tournament. Denmark - Hosts. Australia USA Italy Winners to final, 2nd & 3rd up to Raceoff Event 3. 4 Team Tournament. Sweden - Hosts. Russia Slovenia Slovakia Winners to final, 2nd & 3rd up to Raceoff Event 3 (Race off). Pairs. In UK. 1st event 1. 2nd event 1. 2nd event 2. 2nd event 3. 3rd event 1. 3rd event 2. 3rd event 3. Winner to final. Final. Poland (hosts). Winner event 1. Winner event 2. Winner event 3.
  12. Lebedevs to Belle Vue on 4.33, Matt Ford would not allow.
  13. 6.50 apparently. That is what it appears as though Pieszczek will start on for the Lions.
  14. There is certainly an android app for Speedway Programmes which I have used in the last few years. Much more useful, especially when you always forget a pen.
  15. So Lions are... Vaculik 8.00 Bates 5.52 King 6.66 Pieszczek 6.50 Andersen 7.75 Newman 4.86 Sarjeant 2.60 Not a bad team at all & with 0.61 to spare in case a rider is under-performing at the start of the year.
  16. On 2.6 not 3.8 he isn't a bad signing, dependent on the final rider.
  17. In team building terms, IMO you only need one reserve that will win races, if Sarjeant is only going to have 3 rides because Newman (or Bates/whoever when Newman moves into the top 5) why waste the 1.81 team building points to the detriment of your top 5?
  18. Very unlikely. I emailed them two months ago asking what Pieszczek starting average was. No reply.
  19. So the Somerset theory is... sign World Champion, get bums on seats. He'll win enough races, the other 6 just avoid last places. Can't see it happening, but the theory isn't bad.
  20. Woryna will be #1 after the first set of GSA's are out. He beats every GP rider, every race. I don't know how he performs against none GP riders. Perhaps he'll only beat Vaculik... hmm that bode well.
  21. Not really. I'm sure there is a decent prospect Leicester could sign on 2.00 who would be as valuable. You only really need one good reserve. if Newman doesn't have that covered what is the point of signing him? He drives me mental watching him (only on TV), no rider needs two tapes exclusions a meeting.
  22. I'd take Harris over Nicholls every day. I'd take either in any team I built but never both, since they generally perform an identical function & I don't think they really like each other. Hoping your last 3 signings are 1 of them, plus Sundstrom (assuming he is 7.22) & Nilsson.
  23. Underwhelming signings for a 2nd day on the trot.
  24. If Sarjeant starts on his 2016 figure of 3.81 it is terrible signing, he only averaged 3.33 in 2017 with Ipswich & Workington in the Championship. It (4.65) wouldn't even leave enough for Eric Riss (5.75) to complete the team. Terrible team compared to that which was mooted on here a few weeks ago. I am assuming that Vaculik is assessed as starting on 9:00 & Pieszczek on 7.00.
