  1. Why would it be? Teams need 43 points to win a meeting over 14 heats which is how average are set. The only reason to reduce that limit of a new team is in the league. Currently there is no certainty that Brummies will run,& unlikely any other team will join the league.
  2. That is close to that which I suspected. Until I saw how inflated Kurtz average is. Zischke was never in though. Big injury, will need time to get back to speed
  3. Forecasts are unreliable especially for more than a day in advance. Agreed, but for other reasons. Is it on Eurosport?9
  4. So R/R most of the year. Harris at Owlerton makes sense. Don't think Aces can retain Bewley & Kurtz on those averages. Rew should be the first name on the Witches team sheet Heat leader waiting to happen.
  5. I suspect they may need to win a few. Can't see Mulford troubling the Lions & Voulas may never have been to Beaumont Park before. However Blodorn was decent there when I saw him. Fricke could well go unbeaten, but the Aces top 3 & Iversen should take points off the rest of the Lions.
  6. It was an annual thing at Dudley Wood! 89 - Gundersen,& Pedersen. 90 - Pedersen & Cross. A young Hancock also started the season on fire at reserve but was out for a stint. 92 - Pedersen.
  7. I'm not sure there is a finer watch in Speedway than Bewley in full flight around the NSS, I just wish he'd give is opponents more of a lead. Blodorn ht 8, Kurtz 13 & 15 and Iversen ht 14 showed you don't HAVE to ride it Bewley style to make it work. No. Eurosport probably have something else lined up next Monday. It's not the worlds best stadium, or track. Go to Torun & Wroclaw. Not sure I've ever seen Lawson ride well at the NSS. Becker in SoN was brilliant, Masters has done a job in the past for Wolves but those meetings were usually midday on BHM's. Put up a marque 🙂 Lidsey I've not seen do much at Beaumont Park, Bewley & Kurtz couldn't get near Fricke either. Blodorn was good, NKI I can't comment on. Voulas will never have been there before. I think he has brought his Ekstraliga equipment over and more than anything I think he has more confidence in it which has helped allot.
  8. And then what fixtures do they make money from after the Champions are decided? Speedway clubs can only operate 8 months of the year.
  9. Leicester were the form team at the end of the season. The forecast is pretty wet in Leicester on Thursday so vice versa.
  10. No one was saying the rain affecting track conditions were the Aces favour as the Lions held the lead to 8 points for the middle part of the meeting.
  11. Wow... Didn't think they'd be able to do that against Fricke & Douglas.
  12. It's about confidence & bravery, the Aces riders know the track better With the weather affecting the track it's heavier out there than usual. I remember at the SoN semi final 2 the only riders who would really wide into the deep stuff were Lindgren & the French grass trackers. You could ask why didn't Kurtz go wide I the last heat?
  13. Don't be silly. Belle Vue are not getting near 60 points.
  14. Because he has nothing better to do than continuously trying to provoke responses from other posters.
  15. Lebedevs had fine enough in the GP series to get a wildcard anyway, regardless of his European Championship victory which I congratulate him on. His second? First one was 2018? Michelsen will get a wildcard take your pick for the second Dane. I'd rather watch Thomsen than Madsen.
  16. NKI's social media suggests he feels his season has finished, he's loving life with partner & sprog. The only announcement I'm expecting for Monday is rained off
  17. Loads of places to park free on the road around NSS even during the SoN. If the second leg is rained off & the rearranged meeting isn't on TV I'll come! If NKI guesting for Cook happens! NKI's Instagram posts very much like he believes his season has finished.
  18. No kidding... We were in Vancouver when the Canucks were playing the Oilers in the Stanley Cup QF. $400 for a ticket!
  19. Probably my favourite view of action is on the exit of the second bend at Leicester, get there early if you want a home straight seat! If you can't find the stadium car park it's because it is hidden behind the Leisure centre.
  20. Batchelor & Chris Holder never seemed keen on each other. On second viewing didn't think the Howarth/Blodorn incident was quite as brutal as first viewing.
