Obviously, like Connor Bailey before him he's going to use family ties to claim British citizenship. -
Playoff Grand Final 2024 replay, same result? Weather forecast looks good.

That was what I was expecting to be honest, the Kings Lynn 'Unlucky' Stars lost 3 points with a Harris EF in heat 2, which he was winning comfortably. The track was prepared quite grippy, which meant the racing was quite processional in the early heats Kurtz being unable to get near Lawson in heat 1 highlighted that. It also meant Klindt wasn't in the slightest interested. Harris had a decent third ride, he was faster than Lidsey who won that heat but gave him too much of a lead as Harris had to negotiate traffic. NKI was the pick of the Stars, had two good battles with Blodorn & Z Cook but was also totally blitz by a sensational first bend by Kurtz after NKI has made the initial jump. Belle Vue heat leaders are too quick for him these days. Cook, Kvech & Lawson did about what I'd expect from an NSS visit. Boughen was overhauled by both Aces in heat 2 & really seemed to bottle it when Zishke assed him, but made the Aces work for their heat 8 5-1 in which Lawson was completely anonymous. Someone predicted Bewley would drop 4 points tonight, absolutely ridiculous as proved. Z Cook getting the better of NKI was what surprised me most & Mulford showed he does have potential. Kurtz produced the fastest lap 1 time in 10 years apparently when he blitzed past NKI, it was good to see Blodorn back in the mix after a poor night in the KO Cup. Lidsey hit a massive pile up of loose material on the apex of bends 3&4 in heat 15 which only Lindgren, French grasstrackers & Bewley seem to be able to plough through which blotted his scorecard.

Jepsen-Jensen has had a stellar weekend in Poland! Won individual meeting @ Łódź on Friday Michael Jepsen Jensen 1 2 3 3 3 3 - 15 Top scored in the pairs event @ Grudziądz Saturday Michael Jepsen Jensen 2 3 3 3 1 2* - 14+1 -
I don't see Lidsey dropping many points against the Stars TBH, he surely can't be as sluggish away from the tapes as he was against Ipswich a few weeks ago. Interestingly KL have put Klindt & NKI together at 3&4, they're the two most likely riders in their team to beat one of the Aces top 3. One should have been at 2 and the other at 5 in my opinion.

1 Brady Kurtz, 2 Norick Blodorn, 3 Jaimon Lidsey, 4 Zach Cook, 5 Dan Bewley, 6 Tate Zischke, 7 Jake Mulford. 1 Ben Cook, 2 Richard Lawson, 3 Nicolai Klindt, 4 Niels-Kristian Iversen, 5 Jan Kvech, 6 Chris Harris, 7 Ashton Boughen.

Well I fail to see Bewley dropping 4 points if it doesn't include an EF. The only time I suspect he'll possibly lose to a Star is heat 4 of course he may finish behind Kurtz in heats 13 & 15. Only NKI pulling a vintage out of the locker is likely to lower his colours from the Stars septet.

Score from Łódź Daniel Bewley 2 2 1 0 2 2 = 9 Score from Gdańsk Niels Kristian Iversen 2 0 3 2* 3 = 10+1 Scores from Workington Nicolai Klindt 4 4 4 3 = 15 Tate Zischke 0 0 2 0 = 2 Chris Harris 4 2 2 4 = 12 Zach Cook 4 4 X 4 = 12

Does that include an EF?

Weather forecast remains good for Monday, can the Aces get the better of the Stars at the NSS? Bewley rides at Łódź this evening in the Zenon Plech individual. NKI is set to ride in the Henryk Żyto Memorial in Gdańsk. Bewley is also set to represent Wroclaw in a pairs event at Grudziądz on Sunday, alongside Janowski & Laguta. Don't think any other riders from this meeting are in action on the continent this weekend. Klindt, Z Cook, Zischke & Harris are involved in the Championship pairs at Workington tomorrow. Harris & Zischke are also set to ride in Championship Riders meeting at Scunthorpe on Sunday.

Sheffield v Birmingham 3/4 Premiership R1
Col replied to Manifesto's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Result wasn't much of a surprise Tigers were always going to react after Woofinden's injury. The fact Zagar scored very little doesn't surprise me, the few times I saw him at Owlerton for Belle Vue he had one reasonable ride from memory. Musielak posting such a low score does surprise me, he was almost unbeatable around Owlerton when I saw him riding for Sheffield. -
Only going by updates. It seems two early EF's cost Kings Lynn a few points but Harris being able to take an extra ride following Boughen withdrawal evened things up a little. Interesting that it was Bewley rather than Lidsey chosen for heat 14, Lidsey's score to that point was better than Bewley but looks like Lemon got that right. Kings Lynn were always going to struggle when it came to last heat deciders, it's the price they pay for having a rider like Harris at reserve.

BIRMINGHAM v LEICESTER Mon 24th March KO Cup 1st Leg
Col replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He didn't really prove himself a number 1 at Kings Lynn last year, he was signed as third heat leader originally by Sheffield behind Holder & Ellis, he certainly surpassed the latter but not the former. Briefly in the averages maybe but not over a season. Musielak average is 8.2ish... Doyle, Sayfutdinov, Bewley, Kurtz, Fricke, Holder * 2 & Woffinden are all on higher starting averages. Making him the 9th best rider in the league in theory.. only 7 teams, wouldn't make him a genuine #1 in my eyes. -

7 home debuts, what did you expect? Had Musielak, Zagar, Jepperson or Jepson-Jensen ever actually competed in a competitive race at Perry Barr before? -
I can't remember who said experienced teams start the season well, young teams come good at the end. Let's hope so.
-
Aside from the top two who were very good, Belle Vue offered very little. Cook & Zischke must be allowed a few meetings to settle, but Lidsey, Blodorn & Mulford should have done more. Brennan performing so well bodes well for GB, kept Kurtz at bay and good battling point in his first ride.
-
Doyle has won how many Peter Craven memorials? Brennan spent a couple of seasons with the Aces while King & Ellis have won British Championships at the NSS. How are the Witches going to struggle? What is the point of doing rider/team manager interviews while the mascot is doing laps - no one can hear anything they're saying.
-
Assuming no problems - weather or crashes, should be finished 21:15. That's my hope anyway, so I beat the any roadworks on the M56! They usually start closing lanes at 22:00.

There used to be a very good website with seasonal history & rider profiles for Cradley Heathens. I googled it this morning to look for something but couldn't find it. Is it no more?

From 12 fixtures Gusts averaged 2.43 (0.607) in Ekstraliga for Wroclaw in 2024, replacing Woffinden post injury. Less than Anders Rowe. From 2 fixtures Gusts averaged 4.40 (1.10) in Eliteserien. On a par with Adam Ellis. Struggling to find much else on him league wise, didn't seem to race in Denmark
