There are almost no "small tracks" now Kirky Lame, Arlington & Purfleet are gone. Some riders couldn't be bothered to try to learn how to ride them then..... Why would they now? Give me a EoESg or NSS over Monmore, as a spectacle, but racing at "small tracks" is more interesting to watch than a follow the leader fest at a big (Swindon) or slick medium (Poole/Brandon) track. Tungate is infuriating!

Things that fester too long in the same place go stale. That had happened with the Worrall's at Belle Vue. If he'd have returned, Cooke would have filled that 7-8 rider gap nicely.

Most of the riders listed are past their peak, but teams need experience. The exception is Jensen but I have no idea what he has done in the last few years. He isn't in Ekstraliga which is the only foreign league I watch & keep an eye on regularly.

If BV can get NKi & Jakobsen I'd go with that, seems unlikely though. NKi & Nicol doesn't fit, Zagar & Nicol does. I think. NKi has had a few injuries & has suffered but is still a good racer & quick around NSS.

Yep Finished above Doyle in GP series last year, Fricke is young enough to continue to improve, Doyle on downward spiral. Fricke was best Aussie in SoN, Doyle was poor.

A 17 year old German with no British experience on a 4.00 average. Risky. I hope the lad has a Championship club lined up. Fricke will probably top the averages, decent back.up in the form of Wright & Kurtz, Brennan will improve. Think Aces need a couple of solid middle order scorers.

Leicester have 3 solid heat leaders who are not quite yet on a downward spiral & 4 riders with bags of potential who have some experience at least. Could be break through year for any of those 4.

That septet looks head & shoulders above any other announced team

Riding at 3 suits Shanes more than riding at 2. Shanes can't gate, so he will come last in heat 1 every time Number 2's night is over earlier than number 3's, because he can gate Shanes has more chance of picking up points in later meeting as the dirt line develops.

Ok, Thanks RR. Think my best case scenario would be flying into Gdansk on the Thursday, Ekstraliga Friday, Poznan or Gniezno Saturday, Ekstraliga Sunday, Bydgoszcz Monday then back to Gdansk to fly out on Tuesday. No idea which riders have even signed for any of the div 1/2 teams so don't know who would potentially be missing. Don't really want to watch Gdansk Speedway again, quite possibly the worst track in Poland!

Weekend of 18/6 looks the winner to me. Torun, Grudziadz, Bydgoszcz, Gniezno, Gdansk & Poznań all have home fixtures.

When are fixtures due?

Of the visiting Ekstraliga Liga teams to Torun & Grudziadz. For me it's a choice of Leszno & Czestochowa or Gorzow & Lublin. Leszno & Czestochowa would be my preference.

So it's just a case of book something and cross fingers Bydgoszcz is on the Saturday that weekend.

Torun does have an airport, it's just hasn't been used for a long time! And never for commercial flights. I confess I didn't initially look deeply into it.

That would be the start of my next AL leave unfortunately. I have an awful lot of AL to take before the end of July. If not Bydgoszcz I'm take Gniezno or Poznań. What are Gdansk and Torun airports like? I've flown into Bydgoszcz and Poznań before.

Are the dates & times of Bydgoszcz home fixtures as yet unknown? I'm trying to find a weekend with Grudziadz/Torun/Bydgoszcz are at home on a weekend and I can get to all three (happy to drive a rental). Torun & Grudziadz fixtures are playing ball.

Surprised by Neilsen signing, he's been a rider allot of people thought had potential for a while, some still do, but it's never come to fruition. Thought he was too fashionable for Perry Barr. Losing Castagna is a double edged sword. His scores are poor away from PB, but he single handedly won some home meetings for the Brummies last year with 7 rides from reserve.

Saw enough of Jack Thomas at Perry Barr last year to see the potential, the downside is that if the track isn't right (and it often wasn't) he will saunter.

Hahaha! Indeed. The rules imposed by PZM do not stop them riding in the Championship, although as Lebedevs is League1 in Poland (AFAIK) it wouldn't apply to him anyway. However almost all Polish league racing is on a weekend, the same can be said of the Championship so they'd almost never be available except for fixtures at Birmingham & Poole.

Did you also believe Newman & Ostergaard were nailed on 2022 Brummies? Until Tuesday?
