I'd suggest more water would be a good start. Assume teams are: BIRMINGHAM: Chris Harris, Valentin Grobauer, James Shanes, Ashley Morris, Erik Riss, Paco Castagna, Jack Thomas. GLASGOW: Craig Cook, Broc Nicol, Ulrich Ostergaard, Justin Sedgmen, Ricky Wells, Sam Jensen, Jack Smith. Jack Smith injured at Kent tonight, left stadium in ambulance. Despite this Tigers had secured win by heat 12. Nicol & Jensen being the top performers. That said Nicholls is a one man team for Kent looking at the scores. Will Riss have recovered from pointless meeting at P'boro, will any of the Brummies tail move off the curb when the outside is clearly quicker. Will former Brummie Ostergaard come back to haunt one of his many previous employers? Think Sedgman also called Perry Barr home for a time Any predictions? I'll go with 41-49. Tigers middle order look much stronger than hosts to me.

I agree but I think it's as much down to the continual depletion of riders that British Speedway is able to attract as it is to anything. When I had a season ticket for a few years Wolves could boast Lindgren, Hamill & Karlsson compare riders to their current heat leaders and the difference is obvious. The visitors have obviously depleted in a similar vein and when riders only need to visit such a small track once a year (as Purfleet & Kirky Lane Greyhound stadium are no longer on their agendas) where is the incentive to learn the skills to race it? I'm guessing Foxhall is the premiership track closest in size & shape to Monmore... I've never been but going on what I've seen on TV. But it is considerably bigger I'd think.

Monmore can produce some great racing, but it needs to be prepared right & have riders that are not intimidated by it. There is sadly a lack of such riders in the UK league.

The only thing unexpected & disappointing about the meeting (on TV) was the emergence of a Monmore blue groove and a lack of water on the track. If there is a hosepipe ban in the West Midlands, I wasn't aware of it. The racing was OK, fairly entertaining Monmore affair, Tigers locking up trying not to drift wide. The lack of water made the outside run futile after a bit, to Batchelors benefit but not Ellis. Considering I don't think I have visited two more diametrically opposed race tracks in the UK I thought Tigers scored more points than they would. The only two teams I can see possibly getting a losing bonus points at Monmore are Aces & if the Panthers are able to collectively roll back the years. Don't know, not sure I've seen a current "Ace" at Monmore. The Worralls certainly know it well enough and I'd hope Bewley/Wright would be able adapt better to it then most Aussies. Kurtz I can imagine hating Monmore, Hope no serious injuries from tonight's accidents.

Grudziadz need to win else they could be cast adrift. Other than Torun's visit (match day 11) I can't see any chance of them getting another league point. Torun have 20 point aggregate advantage also. Found a YouTube of heat 15, Zmarzlik certainly didn't fall, but he did muck up the exit of turn two on lap 1. Another mistake on the final bend could have cost him second think he might have passed Doyle on the run into the line.

Huckenbeck £80 less. Dudek £80 more. Milik £80 less. -
Important meeting at bottom today IMO. Aggregate point for Torun and I think bottom two are nailed on as FZG & Grudziadz. Torun need Chris Holder to start scoring, been poor the last few weeks. Can't see Leszno winning at Gorzow, 3 points for home team surely should see Gorzow go level with Wroclaw. Leszno look in a scrap with Lublin & Czestochowa for the remaining two playoff spots.
