From reading the thread and then looking at the pictures, it is obvious that the FIM have cocked-up one of the most prestigious meetings in the speedway calendar. It will obviously be disappointing for the likes of Suchanek, Lindgren, Lindback etc etc, but the one person i feel sorry for is Kasprzak. Obviously he wouldnt have wanted to win it that way, and no doubt when he looks back on it, he will know that the championship he won will be clouded in doubt. Feel sorry for all the fans that have travelled to Austria for the meeting, and although it wont happen the right result would be for the meeting to be re-run completely.

Great to see Stuart beating Bjarne Pedersen and Niels Kristian Iversen on their home track

Chivs replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Superb thunderstorms yesterday which put the practice in a bit of doubt but the track held up to quite a bit of rain. At practice yesterday Hancock looked fast Lindback was fast and smooth until his little cartwheel Nicki looked a bit rusty after his injury Zagar 2nd division dirt track rider couldnt handle the wide open spaces Cant wait for tonight - anybody get me a fiver ew on Hancock -

I had heard a small rumour that the Cardiff GP might be moved to later in the season, cos it has a roof and there is no doubt it can go ahead. Makes sense really -

"You Make Us Proud"

Chris have you got a brolly as well -
Never had a problem with Lee, he was a good servant for the Bees in his time there, and it was great to see him get a max. However he did have the luck go his way tonight - but fair play to him. But whether or not his pass of Nicki was "genuine" - it had me yelling my head off

Whats all this Chives nonsense I had to get matt to use him camera memory up cos his speedway pics are rubbish -
Track wasnt great - however there was plenty of incident Ive said before - you could have a deep track with only one line and have 23 races of pure boredom. The track meant some top riders had to chase and ride a bit harder which kept us entertained all night. As Gemini has stated - only 3 heats all night didnt have a pass in - surely that is value for money? And so what if someone was waving - waving and arm doesnt have an effect on the grader that is on the tractor for christs sake

Red Cards Must Be Introduced Into Gp Series
Chivs replied to robpeasley's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Rob, As you know I have nothing against Greg, but i believe that the injury actually came about because Chrzanowski couldnt hold onto his bike when he laid it down which hit Greg. OK I am sure people will say that Nikki stuffed Greg first making him fall, however Greg did stuff Jason a bit later on. I personally dont have a problem with Nikki as a rider - he gives it out, but he can also take it. -
