Swedish Grand Prix
Joanne replied to The Grim Reaper's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sorry Kev, I can't make it on Friday, I have to go back to work tomorrow -
I've been in a panic for the past two days. Nothing changes I received an email asking for my credit card no from the City Hotel but when I looked closely at it I realised that it was for someone else, a Mr ---, I don't know if a few people got that email. I have tried emailing them, still waiting for a reply.

Sorry we missed you Bliss, we waited for you outside the SAS. I tried to phone you but unfortunately later I found out I should have added two numbers in front. Hope you had a great time. -

That must have been what I had at the Flying Scotsman but they didn't ask, I just thought it was weird cider. I had strawberry cider in my hotel -
I did, thanks Addy. You'll have to see the Swedish GP thread. Gave the fairground a miss after the Pleasure Beach in Blackpool Walked down to that area last night, the Gothia Towers looked really nice, JoJo.

Not long back myself from Gothenburg. Had a great time in the 'windy city'. Met 'Queen Bee' and the 'new Bees fan', they even took me to the Flying Scotsman to make me feel at home. Lovely place, great hotel. I enjoyed the GP, it is alot better when you are actually there than watching it on TV. Great hotel. Walked miles. Only thing I didn't like was the band at the GP. Oh and I also had a great seat on the back straight, nobody could understand me and I couldn't understand them cheered for Greg when he was up against AJ (sorry Beccy ) What happened Chezza with the flight? I came in the morning and there was two queues for London. Sorry I missed you but I didn't know who you were And I've learned something else this weekend, that when you ask for cider they ask you what flavour you would like -
I must be getting old I thought they were just a load of noise. The band outside the stadium were better singing Status Quo, Bruce Springteen songs etc etc.

Although we weren't allowed it for the practise, I get the feeling the track is OK now. -

Thanks for that Queen Bee. I have done some silly things in my time (haven't I Addy ) and standing outside the wrong hotel would probably be another thing I would do. -

Glad you're coming Queen Bee . Never been to Gothenburg before but I'm sure we'll find somewhere to hang out with a nice view of the harbour. Is your hotel near the stadium? -
Because its not my computer, Kev

COME ON GREAT BRITAIN!!!
Joanne replied to Phil's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Come on -----, I give in. I should be wanting GB but now I'm wanting a meeting as good as Thursdays so I don't mind really who wins. -
I'll definately be interested in hearing from Joanne.... especially if she'd like the company too.. Yes, you are welcome to tag along with me, Queen Bee. The company would be great. Not really planned for next year but this year I'm going to Sweden, Bydgoszcz and Norway. I normally go on the Friday and come back on the Monday. It's better to plan way ahead when the flights are cheaper.

£20 to send a money order from Barclays and £8 for them to send a cheque Any one else having to send a money order, and if so, what's the best way about it without eating into my spending money (or beer money)?

I've been on the phone to them this morning, it wasn't easy. A Norwegian voice came on followed by a Carpenters song. Eventually a lady came on who spoke English but she has probably booked more English lessons this afternoon after speaking to me.

I used the email address to order a ticket in section A. Got a confirmation yesterday by email, I just need to pay by money order by 3 Sep 04 to a bank in Poland. Never paid by this way before, I'll need to ask my bank how to do this.

Help, now I need an English dictionary I'm already on the GP website, sirmatty, its not as easy as it looks

I've been trying to buy tickets for the Norwegian GP for the past hour or so. Every time I look up a word in a free Norwegian dictionary, its not found eg. Visk ut. Any help would be appreciated. Doesn't help that there is no layout of the stadium.

Just been trying to work out the prices for the remaining GPs. Quite a difference with the Polish one, £75 for seats by the tapes down to £7.51 (I suppose that's for standing (or trying to stand in some cases )
